So there were too many options with the seafood and I was a bit confused when reading the menu, luckily Kristina told me about some special they have off menu. I told her I want some snowcrab, Argentina shrimps and some crawfishs she got me like a special for $47 with all the above plus corns, egg, sausages and potatoes. I got the everything sauce and med spice. Let me tell you, it was so freaking bomb. The sauce hit the spot. Savory and spicy. The crablegs and shrimps was sooooooo good. The chips were bordering on stale, the "salsa" was actually store-bought Pace picante sauce. The fish, was just so-so and was NOT fresh. It had the rubbery hallmark of long-frozen fish over seasoned to hide the hint of "fishy" taste. The coleslaw was just store-bought shredded cabbage and the sour cream was Daisy. Not even an attempt at making a real crema or sauce. The chimichurri sauce was the only thing bringing a pleasant flavor to this dish. For $20, they do give 3 sizable tacos, but man are they forgettable. My wife got the Trout Almadine, and once again the fish wasn't fresh and the overwhelming almond crust and almond butter was trying to cover it up. Literally. The jalapeño corn bread was certainly a box of Jiffy Honey Cornbread mixed with minced jalapeños. We all loved it, but what can I say, Jiffy makes good cornbread... Overall, we left wishing we would've tried any of the other restaurants on this lively strip of Branson commercialism...but alas, we made a blunder. Pre-tip, we spent $96 on 2 entrees and 3 kid meals. No drinks, no apps, no joy. At least the service was fast and friendly.

We have been blessed to be served by her for over 10 years, and she is truly a treasure. Mary is phenomenal in every way. She remembers us each time, makes us feel at home, and treats us like family. Service like hers is rare, and it keeps us coming back year after year. The food, as always, was absolutely delicious. From the appetizers to the entrées, everything was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and amazing. We have never had a single bad experience only wonderful meals and even better memories. We settled in and placed our orders -- I had a small cup of gumbo and a small red beans and rice, Dad ordered the gator bites, and my wife and mother both went with the shrimp and cheese grits. Having spent many years traveling through seven different states, including plenty of time in Louisiana and New Orleans, I've had my share of gumbo. To put it kindly, this wasn't one of the better ones. It lacked the dark roux that gives gumbo its signature flavor, had very little liquid, and mostly consisted of chunks of chicken and okra over a pile of rice. The gator bites were probably the best thing I tried -- even though I only tasted one, it was quite good. The red beans and rice were decent, with the highlight being the sausage, though there were only three or four very thin slices. I'd love to find that sausage again! The shrimp and grits I sampled had good, creamy grits, tasty shrimp, and a tomato-based étouffée-style sauce that worked well together. The waitress was prompt, the food arrived hot and on time, and overall it was a decent experience -- but not quite what I'd consider a true Cajun restaurant.
