We started off getting their special Christmas cocktails. I got the Snow Bird and my husband got the Not the buttons. The drinks were pretty disappointing, my husband couldn't even finish a quarter of his. The Snow Bird had a coconut foam on top that was absolutely gross in my personal opinion, but the drink itself was fine once I got the straw and avoided the foam. Both of us got burgers with fries and the burgers were very delicious. I would have liked to have some seasonings on the fries though. The staff were welcoming and as attentive as they could be with only having two of them managing about 7 tables and one bartender. The space is very festive and decorated so cozy. Loved the ambiance!

Their theming and decor is always phenomenal and truly makes the experience magical. I have most recently gone to their halloween pop-up, and their Christmas one as well, and both were equally jaw-dropping when it comes to presentation. The service is always great as well, and our first time at Barnato we were confused on how to locate the speakeasy (since we had never been to one before) and the staff was very helpful. My one note is that their holiday mixed drinks have consistently been nicer to look at than to taste, but we mostly come for the theming anyhow.

It's an easy to access location in northwest Omaha at 132nd & Fort and has a large parking lot. The venue is available to book for events such as weddings, family reuinions, corporate conferences, etc. According to their website they have a large and a small banquet room which together can accomodate 525-600 people. I had opportunity to visit at the recent Festa Italiana which the AIHS hosts every year as their major fundraiser. It was spacious, clean, modern, attractive and I really appreciated the large, clean women's restrooms. I did not see the kitchen but I've heard from a good source (one of the members of the AIHS) that's it's wonderful and since they used it to cook all that food for the Festa, they would know!

The building itself is clean and has a neat design and look both inside and out. I could see why this ranks highly as a venue. The lunch buffet is fairly popular and seems to have a regular crowd. They serve Italian and American fare for the same price as Golden Corral. The ingredients seemed decent, the food looks good, but the taste. Oh the taste! Where have you gone! The service is OK, though me and my buddies had weird experiences with one of their bus boys (not really a boy, more like a 60 year man). It was off-putting to say the least. It gets a big, fat Meh from me, at least for the lunch buffet.

The altar having a fountain behind it is an absolutely stunning detail for the ceremony. The white stone wall by the outdoor tables made for an incredible background for pictures and made me feel like I was in Greece instead of Iowa. The rolling fields around the venue are beautiful for family/wedding party photos. The grand staircase is a classy touch and made for fun entrances by the wedding party. The chandeliers are a gorgeous detail that tied the whole reception area together. I loved having the rooms for the groomsmen and bridesmaids to get ready in, the pool table in the groomsmen's room was a great idea. The whole day flowed perfectly and the vendors that work with The Fountains Ballroom were wonderful. I highly recommend!

The gentleman that answered the phone said that he would just "take the job" The photographer was very friendly and and seemed to understand what I was asking for. I was told that I would get a photographer for 8 hours, 800 photos all touched. I received over 1300 photos and only 90 of them were edited. There are hundreds of pictures of my back, my guests back with my arms wrapped around them. He took very few photos of our faces and did not capture very many moments that we could print and use. He did not give anybody any direction and most of the time I didn't even know where he was. During the ceremony he stood in the back of the church. He captured a picture of the entire room and we are very very small and did not capture our faces very well. There are many pictures that would have been fabulous if they weren't shadowed and the lighting was not adjusted by his camera, or if he simply told people to look at him so he could snap the picture. He also did not use the zoom at all. When capturing pictures of our guests and our wedding party, they are making silly faces, not smiling and posed well. There was a few very specific pictures I asked for and he did not execute that very well. I am very disappointed at $1600 I cannot rephotograph my day. At the end of the day I have a flash drive and alot of work to do in order to create a wedding album.
