This hotel has its challenges. The keys don't always work, the in-room safe might be busted, etc. but it is my go-to place in West Omaha because the staff is amazing and they will drop everything to address any problem. For the price I think it's a great value and I always know I'll be taken care of. I do wish they'd have better lobby coffee but even without it I will continue to stay there and so should you. read more

This hotel is stuck in between several corporate buildings off of 180th and Burk Street. Plenty of parking is available and they do take dogs. I spent the evening here since the new flooring was not ready at the house. Service was fantastic, fitness center was decent, and the rooms are small but clean and comfortable. Update* Joe commenting that I was burning incense- this is gaslighting. I've never even purchased incense before. Larry let me know he smelled the cigarette smoke as he was a smoker for 30 years. Do not stay here- better hotels close by for the same cost. I was a guest on January 1st traveling home to Texas. I was not advised prior that there was a New Year's party at the hotel the night before. My entire room was engulfed in cigarette smoke that they tried to mask with incense. After 30 minutes sitting in the room I had an intense migraine and was falling ill. I got my bags and headed downstairs to leave and relocate to a different hotel. I then noticed the smell in the hallways as well. Larry was nice, went to the room and verified the smoke smell. He did offer me an upgraded room and alcohol vouchers to stay which I declined because I don't drink and I couldn't be in that hotel. He told me he would leave a note and I could reach my 3rd party for a refund. I was then contacted by Joe, the GA. He let me know he won't refund me and he will block my banks charge back because he thinks they went above and beyond for me. Trust the other negative reviews. I strongly advise anyone from staying at this hotel, and any hotel that is managed by Joe in the future. The customer service is very poor, the hallways and rooms were dirty. Our son is in AAU basketball, which requires us to travel. In April, we had the opportunity to have our first away game. It was also the first time we visited Omaha. Here is what I thought: Location: 9/10 This hotel is located in a quiet suburb in Omaha. It is close to Target, Wal-Mart, and tons of restaurants to choose from. The location of the hotel was definitely the highlight of our trip and the awesome location made it easy to run for things we needed. Price: 5/10 For a weekend stay, it was $400. To me, it was overpriced for the experience. I also take into consideration that this is in a Omaha suburb, so you get what you pay for. I don't mind paying this price for a hotel, but the standards need to match. Customer Service 2.5/10 We arrived around 8 pm on a Friday. Most of the basketball team had been there a couple of hours prior and were hanging out in the lobby. The people who worked the front desk were less than stellar and they made it very apparent they did not like their job or each other. During a cocktail hour for someone's wedding, there was barely any teamwork and they had zero soft skills whatsoever. They dampened the vibe for sure, which is unfortunate because the hotel is pretty nice. Shoutout to the housekeepers though! They were very friendly! Cleanliness: 6/10 The rooms were surface level clean, but needed a major deep clean. There were scuffs on the bathroom walls, and leftover candy from other people underneath the beds. The shower was also not very clean and there were water stains and mold around the outside edge of the shower where water tends to land. Bonus for the abundant towels that we had, but the sheets on one of the beds were dirty and clearly had not been changed. I appreciated the new mattresses and the awesome fridge that was roomy and actually kept stuff cold! Room/Furniture/Decor: 8/10 The room was modern and fresh, with vibey paint colors and a really cool booth by the airy window. It was comfortable and we loved the nice touch of having our name on the TV to welcome us. The double loft room was quite small for two kids and two adults. Three people would fit at the maximum. We were pretty cramped in the room. Also, it is a loft style room, so there is zero privacy for showering, and our door was very difficult to open. We nearly had to kick it down every time. As far as the A/C, it was decent. It definitely cooled the room off quickly. Bedding: 8/10 The beds were really comfortable and as I mentioned before, the mattresses were new. Not a bed bug in sight! They would be even more comfortable if the sheets were fresh and clean. We had to snag some sheets off a housekeeping cart, which should not be the case. Noise: 2/10 The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything from neighboring rooms and the hallways. The hallway acoustics made every little noise bounce off the walls, which was not it. Overall: 5.7/10 If we had to travel to Omaha again, we would not pick this hotel. Yes, it had modern decor and an excellent location, but the customer service, subpar cleaning, and noise level are dealbreakers for us. We will not be returning. read more

I enjoyed my stay and would return to this hotel. The place was fairly clean and the staff were really friendly. Bathroom walls could've been cleaner but nothing disgusting. There is not much noise blocking between the room/door and the hallway so you can hear people walking by and their conversations but I was here mid-week so nothing crazy going on. I kept the bathroom light/fan on for some white noise. I was placed in a room that looked out onto some unknown space. It didn't appear the public could get to it, but as a single female, I recommend you ask for a higher floor or on the west side so you aren't placed in this area. I kept my blinds drawn because this was unsettling. read more

As someone who travels solo it's important to feel safe, the staff is always attentive and kind, the parking lot is big and well lit, the room doors have multiple additional locks and on top of all that it's clean. There is always refreshing spa water, fresh coffee and a great spread of snacks in the lobby. It turns into my home away from home. read more

I normally stay in Omaha for a week out of the year, just to visit my hometown. Being able to swim is important. The pool here is amazing! The only suggestion I have is putting down anti-slip rugs or pads in the hallway leading to the pool. Even one step with slightly wet feet will end up in tears. I know because it happened. Shoes next time, but that was a painful landing. Otherwise, everything else is perfect. Great location around so many Omaha favorite restaurants. Easy access to the Dodge Expressway. Nice selection of food to order for breakfast at the hotel. Super comfy beds. Cable tv. Wi-Fi everywhere. Great customer service, and knowledgeable staff. That doesn't happen at just any hotel. It happens here, though. I'll be back with my anti-slip shoes. read more

Wow. To say the least, this was an unforgettable experience. To start, the app promised mobile check in, but that wasn't available when we got there. Instead, we had to stand in line behind two groups of people as we watched one guy help the others them while another girl stood there texting and watching him. After waiting five minutes, I got her attention and asked about mobile check in. She rolled her eyes and said they don't do that. She reluctantly told us she would help us. She was *very* unprofessional, and was dressed in a baseball cap and hoody (while the guy was appropriately dressed in semi-casual attire). I was willing to let this go, but the room was absolutely DISGUSTING. Let me explain why: - there was a LARGE area of puke and/or feces splattered on the bathroom wall behind the sliding door - there was more unidentified splatter (probably puke) on the wall by the sink - there was puke and mold around the shower - after finding the puke all over our 'clean' room, the only thing the guy at the front desk did was give me a stack of towels - there wasn't an option for a new room - it's good thing I got extra towels to clean my own room, because the towels in the room were stained and crusty - the walls were SO thin that we could hear the rooms next to us and above us flush their toilets All in all, it was the worst hotel experience I've ever had. There's plenty more that I could say, but I'm embarrassed at the fact that we actually stayed there. read more

This is the ONLY place I will stay in the Omaha area. It is located near amazing restaurants, coffee shops and SHOPPING! The desk staff are awesome and always greet me with a smile. Often times they also go the extra mile for me as well. There is a cute little bar available if you want a cocktail and a great breakfast/snack area for quick treats. My room is always clean and smells great! Beds comfy and the room quiet. If there ever is any issue, it is quickly resolved. Can't think of a better place to stay! The hotel was badly damaged by a thunderstorm while we were staying there the night of 07/09-07/10/2021. Due either to uniquely powerful wind and rain right on top of this specific hotel, or to inferior design and construction, most of the roof completely failed. Water poured into the fourth floor where we were staying through the light fixtures in the hall, and ran into the lobby on the first floor through multiple places in the ceiling. The staff quite correctly advised all guests to evacuate. However, the emergency exit on the fourth floor was marked as "stairwell temporarily closed." Guests were confused as to whether the signage meant the stairwell was unsafe to use. The stairwell exit onto the first floor was also obscured by fabric put up to decorate the poorly lit ballroom into which the stairwell empties, which further confused and frightened guests. The staff failed to shut down the elevators or even tape them off, despite the clear risk that guests could become stranded if the power shorted out due to water intrusion or other reasons. As a result, many who thought the stairwell was unsafe due to the signage took the elevators instead. Part of the roof structure was hanging over the main entrance, and staff periodically advised guests to take other exits, but did not tape off or otherwise post warning signs on the front doors. The staff at Aloft hotels wear neither uniforms nor name tags, which was also a problem when the guests were trying to evacuate. We could not tell whether people issuing instructions to us were staff or other guests. None of the staff had any emergency vests or other identifying clothing, or flashlights. No staff were posted at emergency exits to assist in the evacuation. Basically, we were told to leave the hotel because it was unsafe, but were left almost entirely to our own devices in evacuating ourselves. read more

No one, under any circumstance, should be given my room number! NO ONE! My mere existence at this hotel shouldn't even be confirmed! I have no words for how unsafe I feel. I'm already nervous when I travel alone but now I am genuinely concerned about my safety. Obviously, Marriott is not. I have been here on business for 5 days. I would do zero stars if I could. Our family stayed here over President's weekend with my son's travel hockey team. Several of our teammate's rooms were burglarized. They were accessed with a master key, which the front desk clerk provided to her boyfriend. The team all left together in a bus for a hockey game so it was clear that the rooms would probably be empty. Valuables and electronics were stolen. The Omaha police was great about arresting and charging the two but Marriott has not said or done anything. No acknowledgement or apology. In addition these rooms are not comfortable or family friendly. The hotel lacked staff and the cleaning was not adequate. We saw a sandwich sitting in the bathroom on the first floor for two days. While I understand times are tough for hotels, we paid full price and got limited services. read more

Under staffed (1 person in hotel working front desk, bartending, etc), couldn't make our room key (system down), said they'd bring it to us once the system was up & running, but did not, had to go back down to the lobby to get it, pool was closed for maintenance. Hallways in lobby area were dirty. Outdoor courtyard not even close to the photos online. No coffee pots in room. Minimalistic yes, but a bit overboard in my opinion. I booked this hotel because it was close to where we wanted to be, fairly new (open one year), and Marriott Bonvoy gave me a gift card to use for half the price of my room and then this hotel franchisee refused to take my gift card. read more

ZERO STARS. Absolutely terrible experience here at the Aloft. My son's team stayed over the President's Day weekend for a tournament. Multiple rooms were accessed via a master key by a front desk employee and her boyfriend and thousands of dollars of electronics and other items were stolen. This employee has an arrest record - which begs the question of if background checks are done by the hotel during the hiring process. The communication and handling of these incidents by the hotel was absolutely horrid. It was as if they were trying to pretend it did not happen. Word got out and the news called asking to run a story and interview the team. After learning of this, and 2 days after the theft, the hotel felt they needed to *say* something to us. Did they offer condolences? Did they apologize? Ha. No. All they said was that they were a victim as well! It has now been 13 days since the incident and no communication other than "our VP will get in touch with you" has been received by the families affected. Has the VP contacted anyone? No he has not. Now if theft is not enough to turn you away, also note that the trash bins were overflowing the whole time we were there and trash was all over the hotel. TL;DR: Avoid this hotel like the plague otherwise you will have your things stolen read more

We were with a large group of families during President's weekend and several rooms were burglarized. Hundreds, even thousands, of dollars in electronics and personal items were stolen. It turned out to be an inside job and the front clerk was taken away in handcuffs. Our kids did not feel safe for the remainder of the stay and no apologies were provided to the families by the management or Marriott. It was a traumatizing experience. No guest should ever have to experience such an ordeal or feel that their safety is in jeopardy, especially at a Marriott brand hotel. read more

My son's hockey team was staying here for a hockey tournament over President's day weekend. Multiple rooms on the team were broken into. Our things were rummaged through. Computers, electronics were stolen and discarded. No apologies from the hotel or staff. My son and his friend don't feel safe. One of his teammates told his mother to dead bolt the door when he's not there. These are 12 year old boys who are afraid or scared for their family members. This is the rare occasion that reviews were spot on. I, too, experienced my own set of crap-tastic memories after staying here two nights. From the lacking customer service to the non-vacuumed carpets and littered parking lot (and we had to pay for parking?!?) to the horrible room design... The shower and sink area is visible when you first walk in the room. The toilet room's door is an unlockable sliding barn door. There's a full-length mirror that exposes you right after you step out of the shower. And this room has two queen beds, acceptable for four guests?!? My vehicle had drink cups and a cheap necklace left on it when I came back to it one morning. Staff couldn't care less. Guests arrived at 2 am and thanks to the lack of soundproofing, I - who can sleep through A LOT - woke up and had to eventually ask them to take it down a notch. Front desk had to get involved. New hotel and their pool cues were already missing parts. Oh! Can't forget the lack of tissue in the lobby bathroom. How long does it take for multiple rolls to run out that this wasn't checked previously?!? And it's not just me. Another guest complained that her room wasn't cleaned when she checked-in (bed wasn't made, etc.). We weren't told at check-in, but after walking around the hotel to find the stairs to access, eventually discovered stairways were either off-limits or led to an unfinished part of the first floor. Shouldn't that be some kind of code violation? Don't let the "Marriott" brand on this hotel fool you. read more

I spent New Years Eve there with grandchildren so they could swim. I got little sleep due to an extremely loud party in the room above me. The party started when the guests got in around 2am and went to after 5 am. I complained and I am sure many others did also. They said they would call me back and I never heard back. Very disappointing! Will never return. read more
