I'm 53 years old and somehow still have enough hair to require an actual game plan, a skilled professional, and possibly a zoning permit. I'm also particular about my haircut, which is a polite way of saying I know exactly what I like and notice when it is not right. Hayden gets it right every time. He listens to what I want, somehow translates my vague haircut instructions into something that actually looks good, and then does his barber magic. He is friendly, easy to talk to, and so good at what he does that I followed him to this shop from his last one. That should tell you everything. Appointments are easy to make, parking is easy, and the shop itself has a great vibe. Everyone there seems like they enjoy what they do, which makes the whole experience even better. My son now sees Hayden for his haircuts too, so apparently good barber decisions run in the family. Hayden is a great barber, a great guy, and the reason my hair still has a fighting chance. Very bad quality haircut unless you're bald I didn't like the way I was greeted from the start but my frustration got worse the longer I was there. The employees are super rude and will not ask for your input, Don't go here unless you are ok with being cut a few times and get your hair being completely chopped.(they don't know how to cut hair here and it's very expensive for being so god awful) read more

Bend has a LOT of barbershops, I've noticed. Unless Bendites get their hair cut more than usual, the competition for business must be fierce. I recommend The Barber House. Along with delivering a good cut (I've only been once, so ...), the staff make you feel comfortable while you're there without trying too hard. New to Bend. Have gone to five different "mens" hair places. This one joins the embarrassing list of places in Bend who haven't a clue how to cut men's hair. This very nicely adorned shop might be the worst. Yes, they all can give buzz cuts, flat tops, military haircuts and the like. But God forbid you should actually walk in with a full head of hair, to be lightly trimmed and shaped! You leave like a lawnmower ran over you. So disappointed. Wanted to like this shop, as it's close to my home and seems to be legit. I got 3 cuts here, the first and the last were terrible...not to mention they only straight razored my neck the first time. Not a welcoming crew either, as I wasn't even greeted during the last visit. Poor, inconsistent cuts coupled with horrible customer service equals a no-go for me. With lots of other options in town, I'm happy to never step foot into this shop again. Wish I could leave a positive review here. read more

Visiting Bend from out of state and when my return plans (on my normal haircut schedule) were postponed there I was super scraggly and my bathroom mirror said dude take action! The Barber House was the closest to my place so I made a quick online reservation with Cierra and off I went. It was busier than I expected but hey I had that reservation so I only waited about five minutes and then I was in the chair. Cierra grilled me about what I wanted (I don't have a ton of hair left so my options are somewhat limited!) and she was super friendly and I was in and out fast and even with tip I only paid half of what I pay in CA. I'm only giving 5 stars because 6 isn't an option! read more

After my quarantine, my hair was a mess. Was very easy to schedule an appointment. It was obvious they cared about sanitation and still being welcoming. Above all, it was an excellent haircut! You would think that someone who goes through cosmology school would at one point learn how to measure hair, unfortunately it turns out that my barber must have been unable to learn what a inch and a half is, I hadn't had a hair cut in 6 moths dude to carona and was starting to feel like my hair was a bit unruly, however if I knew that it would be absolutely massacred. I now look like I'm about to be sent off to military camp. I have no idea how one could somehow mistake 1 inch for 3 but if your down for that this is the place for you. If you expect to get what you ask for don't go here or atleast don't book a appointment with sky, from what i saw the rest of the barbers are all able to listen to there costumers instead of giving all 3 of use the same exact hair cut much against our wishes. If you do need a hair cut here make sure you don't have a appointment with sky unless your ready to be sent off to Afghanistan. read more
