    I've been getting my hair cut at this company for over a decade. Everyone has always been…read moreprofessional, personable, and helpful. I would leave a 5-star review for almost every interaction I've had here, until today. I don't know what it's like where you live, but here in Central Oregon getting a haircut requires you to check in online or be at the store when it opens, otherwise you will wait for hours to get in. I attempted to check in my two sons this morning and the app wasn't letting me check in two guests - just one. So I canceled the check in and tried again with the same outcome; only this time the check the appointment time went from half an hour out, to an hour and a half. So, I called the store. The person I spoke to advised me that I would not be able to register another check in while the current check in was still set. I tried to explain that canceling the check in toner-attempt to check in both kids would result in being pushed back further down the list. The person was short and rude in her response. When I expressed my opinion that the app needs to be redesigned, she talked over me and became defensive, explaining that she has no control over the app. Why she thought I would assume she has the ability to hop in and make my suggested changes, I don't know. When a customer offers a complaint, typically he expects some sort of expression of understanding, maybe a helpful suggestion, or at the very least some indication that my concern would be handed off to someone who knows more about the issue and/or can look into it. Not today. She took it personally, was condescending, rude, and essentially destroyed my opinion of Sports Clips in a 30-second phone conversation. I will admit that she DID get my other kid checked in, and I do appreciate the help, but she may as well have spit in my face while doing so. When we arrived at the store, I walked in behind my boys and the lady I spoke with on the phone was at the front desk and was instantly standoffish and short with my kids when she recognized the names. I asked her if I could speak with the manager, and she gives me this fake smile and fake tone as she explains the manager is busy. Then she says "I'm the one you spoke to on the phone." Yeah, your shit attitude made that abundantly clear. I sat down to wait for my kids and I can hear this same lady talking above everyone else on the floor - making sure I could hear her - explaining this and that about the online check in process, explaining that they have no control over the app, etc. it's this kind of behavior that ruins customer relations, so I won't be going back to that store as long as that woman works there. I'll spend my money where I'm respected and where they treat me in such a way that I want to come back. I don't want to go back there. Sports Clips management was kind and listened and assured me they would address the issue. The only reason I don't have 1 star is because it isn't fair that one dummy can ruin it for an entire store. Management needs to train staff in customer service and relations.

    My wife and I came to Bend on vacation and, while walking back to our car around 7 PM on Wednesday…read morenight, saw that this Salon featured feather extensions. Normally, by 7 PM any salon would be closed or well on the way to shutting down. Blue Star still had an employee working and there were two clients inside even though they were already slated to close. We, a walk in, were welcomed warmly and the employee in the shop (who's name we cannot recall - she was blonde, her husband was a brewmaster at Cascade Brewing) was more tha accomodating to our walk-in request. We chatted and waited for her to finish up with the other customers and, late into the evening, she installed my wife's selected hair feathers. At the end of it all, the awesome beauty purveyor offered my wife and I some of the delicious beer her husband brews - free of charge! Probably one of the best salon experiences we've ever had. Blue Star makes me wish I lived in Bend.

What Megan Sedres provided my wife was not even close to customer service. Although I wholeheartedly don't agree with your "policies" I do understand them. I also understand that there is a time and a place to take a hard line and when to compromise. Megan Sedres chose wrong...hence, you chose wrong. Your response shows a lack of understanding as to the situation and its tenets. I could agree with it for most people but I know my wife and so do many other people in this area. You didn't do your due diligence to contact her before (reminder call/text) or during her missed appt time. If it is a 3-hour block there was plenty of time for you all to reach out but you didn't. With regard to charging people X% of their expected service for a missed appt, that's a whole different discussion altogether. Make a policy that you all will call/message people a day prior as a 'courtesy' to remind them of their appt otherwise you will be forced to charge them a % of your over-priced services. We will happily take our business elsewhere and not direct business in your direction. Again, it was Megan Sedres' approach as well as yours that is so off-putting.
