Signed up for this new client deal that my neighbor talked me into and I'm so glad I did. I've always been intimidated by exercise classes and felt comfortable here. The place is clean and felt very welcoming. Felt safe at night (5pm class), bathroom and locker area was clean, the main area was well maintained and open. The instructor, Jenna, was so friendly and made our first experience even better. Looking forward to joining more classes and will probably upgrade my membership once my trial period is over. Few other tidbits - met other members and they were so friendly! One older lady had 300 something classes under her belt and she looked ahhhhmazing!! Small class which i really enjoyed, pace of class and exercises were good for a super beginner, Jenna was helpful in making sure that my form was correct, lastly, I felt like I was so fire after class. You will use a variety of supplied equipment and need to wear good grip socks. To begin you will be taken through a series of upper body movements and warm ups. I walked in, met Michelle and she helped set up my first class which she recommended would be best for my first time. I am amazed by how supportive the instructors are. If this is your first time, I recommend to place yourself in the middle of the room (you'll see why). Everyone is really nice which makes you feel comfortable throughout the class. I joined The Bar Method three months ago. I had left a message at a different workout program in Tracy and didn't receive a call back. A few days later I called The Bar Method and received a call back from Meghan, one of the owners, the same day. I went to my first class the following day. The program is low impact and yet very effective. My body is more toned and the chronic pain in my shoulder is significantly better. Every instructor makes sure that I have the proper form and each workout is varied and challenging. I work out with women who range in age from the twenties to the seventies. Since attend classes at Bar Method in Tracy, I have improved my muscle tone and strength. The instructors are very knowledgeable and offer modifications if needed. I'm learning to push myself harder and that I can accomplish so much more than I thought I was capable of. Classes are offered throughout the day 7-days a week. Definitely one of my favorite and best ways to incorporate a consistent and yet challenging full body workout in your daily routine. All you have to do is show up! Love that i'm able to choose from different types of barre classes ranging focus from low-impact, cardio, to even vinyasa yoga depending on what i'm feeling that day. Stretching sequences are incorporated throughout class as well, which is helpful since I don't have to worry about doing that before or after a workout on my own. The instructors do a lot of verbal and hands on adjustments to help/correct your form to ensure you're getting the most out of each exercise. I definitely notice the progress I've made in terms of strength and flexibility and it's extra motivating when I hear the instructors themselves have noticed as well :-) Whether you're a beginner just getting started or an avid fitness connoisseur, I highly recommend trying it out to anyone from all experience levels. read more
