I came here from a town where bagels are abundant and popular an hr from nyc. Going upstate on a road trip to broome county. We were surprised about the variety and types of bagels made here. The bagels were great in taste and texture and not hard or chewy at all. Nicely located on a side street. The service was attentive and quick, a happy staff. Prices were good. The bomb on a toasted everything bagel is amazing, a egg, ham and cheese on a toasted everything bagel is a great breakfast sandwich!

The staff is very friendly and they have a lot of options, but don't get the everything bagel unless you want enough servings of salt for the next five days. I actually couldn't eat my everything bagel because it was sooooo salty. Even if I get a plain bagel I also notice the cream cheese is quite salty too. Took my two teen boys in for a late breakfast snack. Counter service was friendly, prices for the 'build your own sandwich were good, and the selection of bagels was good. Service time was good, and the boys enjoyed the Buffalo-style home fries. Bagel themselves were good, but the serving size of the egg and bacon was lacking. Not much going on inside! I mean, it was good, but...mostly bagel, not much sandwich. Like eating the pb&j with no pb or j. To buy some bagels to go- yes. To take home, cook your own eggs and bacon- yes. Great local spot for a quick breakfast! I decided to try The Bagel Factory one day on my way to work, knowing full well a place like Dunkin would have a ridiculously long line, and I'm glad I did. The service was quick with friendly and courteous staff. Even though I had to get out of my car to go inside, it was much faster than a morning drive-thru run, out in just a couple of minutes. As for the food itself, I ordered a lox bagel sandwich on a parmesan bagel fully loaded with lettuce, tomato, onions, and cream cheese. It looked and tasted delicious! We just moved from Long Island and we were hoping to find a good bagel spot in the area. We tried Bagel Factory and unfortunately were disappointed. The staff was friendly but they definitely seemed overwhelmed with the amount of people ordering. The everything bagels had a good taste, but were small and I would say maybe a little stale. My biggest complaint however was the minimal amount of cream cheese on my bagel itself. The whole surface of both sides of my bagel did not have enough cream cheese to cover it. Definitely disappointing about the cream cheese, especially for the price. read more

The bagels here are probably the best in Binghamton. The everything are totally covered in everything. They have a whole wheat everything. Their salt aren't over salted but you can taste the salt. They have a jalapeños bagel that one of my kids like. The bagels are chewy the way they should be. I can come here and feel like I had a bagel as good as any in Brooklyn/New York City. I recommend Bagel Factory if you want a bagel in Binghamton and so it gets 5 stars. read more

My husband and I ordered breakfast sandwiches here and they were okay. The bagel itself was delicious (not as big as a NY bagel though). As far as the sandwich goes they didn't put much on it so we were a little disappointed. If I went back I'd probably just order a bagel and cream cheese being that the bagels are very good. read more

Came in at 2pm today to get lunch and ordered a bagel with turkey, bacon, and cheese. The woman behind the counter repeated it back to me, and then asked to clarify if I meant turkey bacon and I said no I meant "turkey comma bacon". Waited for my food and paid just to get home and open a sandwich with an incredibly small amount of turkey, eggs, and cheese. Considering she repeated it back to me, and then I clarified again, and considering the cost, I'm pretty frustrated about this. I'm not a fan of eggs and this was my lunch. They say online they close at 3 but the two employees working locked the doors as we were waiting for our food and then walked us out and locked the doors behind us again as we left. It literally said on the wrapper "turkey bacon and cheese". Irritated and unsatisfied. read more

I went here twice over the past few months and the food was consistently good but the service was consistently poor. Both times I went the workers messed up my order and one time I asked for water and they gave me hot water. As a business owner and fellow entrepreneur I know a thing or two about the food service industry. They need a system that could generate tickets and complete orders without issue. They need to learn to take a deep breath and calm down when working instead of looking rushed or worried. The food is good for the area at least with custom cream cheese and freshly made bagels. The Bagel Factory is a small shop located in upstate New York that offers a variety of bagels, breakfast sandwiches, paninis, and cream cheese flavors at an affordable price. I enjoyed the Parmesan bagel with egg whites (50 cents extra), ham, and american cheese with a side of home fries (95 cents extra with any meal). They offer a spicy ketchup that I thoroughly enjoyed with my fries. I love all things spicy so that was amazing! I was also able to try my friends Parmesan bagel with an herb and bacon (don't quote me) cream cheese, which was delicious. I believe they have about 15-18 different bagel and cream cheese options, including pumpkin bagels and pumpkin cream cheese. It's definitely worth checking out if you want to grab some breakfast and you're nearby. I absolutely loved it and cannot wait to go back whenever I'm in the Binghamton area! read more

Ive been to the bagel factory a few times in the past year and I will say that although the food has been consistently OK, I would definitely not recommend this place for several reasons. First of all, for a place marketing itself as a "bagel factory" they have a minimal selection of bagels and cream cheeses. I'm also not sure if their bagels are baked on the premises but if they are, then I find it scandalous that their bagels are rarely fresh whenever I order from them, and doubly scandalous that they rarely have the bagel I want and I am left picking from bagels I don't like. Their cream cheeses also look like they haven't been made recently. This being said, it's their service that I find to be absolutely atrocious. Despite my best efforts to make it easier for their workers to take my order by writing it down, they always seem to mess it up. I'm also not sure why they become so overwhelmed when more than 3 people enter the store. I've worked in a busy deli before and it really isn't a rocket science. In my last visit to the bagel factory, they were so overwhelmed by the 6 people waiting on line that 30 minutes after I ordered (Turkey, egg, cheese on wheat bagel) they informed me that they ran out of turkey. Needless to say I was not very happy and got a refund. An observation I made during my 30 minutes of waiting was that the man in the kitchen came out with orders that people didn't even make! this happened several times! My boss at the deli would have castrated me for this type of mistake. Im not sure why this place is run so inefficiently but get it together, i really wanted to like this place. Ive gone here out of laziness and convenience, but im not sure if this place is worth the headache. I'd skip. read more

The bagels and cream cheese were super fresh. I got "The bomb" on a bagel, which had 3 types of meat, and a Novalox bagel. Both were delicious!! The only reason I gave 4 stars is that there were too much cream cheese in the lox bagel but that's typical of many places. I easily just removed some of it. Delicious bagels. Super cheap, a plain bagel is $.75, a bagel with butter (my favorite) is $1.30. Didn't try the sandwiches but they looked really good. I spent 4 years living in the city so I struggle finding a great bagel in the Binghamton area. This place is definitely one of the best. Prices seem fair. I love the Parmesan bagel and the jalepeno cream cheese is pretty good. The service is so-so, I've been in twice so far and they repeatedly have asked me what I ordered. This morning, the lady completely messed up my order and had to re-make it. Will come back because it's right in between my apartment & work. The amazing deal they have where you buy a dozen bagels and get 3 free is great! Couldn't believe they'd give us so many bagels! The variety was great however when we went at 10 AM, they were out of a lot of basics like plain or sesame. Will be coming back! read more
