Surprisingly, this is a pretty good spot to be drunk at on a Thursday night. Granted, it's been a few years since I was last here, but I remember coming for drinks with some co-workers and we had a grand old time. The bartenders were friendly, the other patrons were a hoot to be around (not snooty that "outsiders" were in "their" bar) and the claw machine has porn videos (is that still around?) that actually can be won for $1.00! Be careful of Dublin police lurking nearby though. They will try to nab you as you get on the freeway or turn onto Dublin Blvd. They will look for any reason to pull you over, so beware! I finally decided to give this place a try because I was looking for a place to watch some March Madness during lunch without having to wait forever to get my food. This place isn't bad at all. Plenty of tv's, shuffle board, pool...but it's missing one thing: FOOD. A little hurdle, but I didn't care at the time. They had enough tv's for me to watch all the games from my seat. They allowed me to bring in food, so I got Caspers from down the street and everything worked out. (except my NCAA bracket) A couple Fridays later, I went back to kill some time before dinner and a movie and the place was busier. This little pool hall/bar was actually a lot of fun. My husbands friend was on leave from the Navy and we wanted to show off our new little town so we took him to the only bar we knew of, Evie's. It was very quiet when we arrived at 9:30PM but soon after people piled in and the place was PACKED. Bartenders here are mean drunks. Last visit, the barkeep with the shaved head and beard starts giving me a hard time because I asked for a plastic cup to chew tobacco in, outside. Nasty habit, I know, but I was driving and needed vice for the night that wouldn't get me pulled over. (I had tipped him a few dollars for the Guiness I had ordered previously) None of his business. Anyways, he follows me outside, lecturing me on subjects ranging from how my mother would be ashamed of me to how he hates when black people are at the bar, because then he cant say n***er, and how he knows white n***ers too so he is allowed to say it. I leave and he follows me inside attempting to crack jokes at my expense the whole night. Greasy, greasy place. Skip this one. read more

Clean and no stinky smell, great people and we were greeted as soon as we walked in. So refreshing.

I used to love Evie's, and went fairly regularly with co-workers to grab a drink. However, after the last interaction, I won't be going, let alone giving a dime to this business. My husband just moved here from Canada, and we decided to grab a beer with friends at Evie's. When placing our drink order, Karen, the bar tender decided to card us (something which has never happened before) and she denied my husbands Valid Canadian ID and said she wouldn't serve him. According to the DMV, a Canadian issued license is a valid form of ID. We explained this to her, and she still said she wouldn't serve him. We asked her to call over the manager, at which point, she completely rolled her eyes and said "she was busy." We finally were able to get the manager to come over, who was just as rude. We ended up walking out, as they clearly didn't want our business. Long story short, the place isn't nice, the drinks are expensive, and the management and staff are racist and rude. This is one small business that I hope goes down, soon. read more

Had a real bad experience with the bald-headed gentleman bartender recently. Awful the bartender(Johnae) doesn't even acknowledge you if she's eating. She had her friend clean up for her and was beyond rude when I asked for a drink when she wasn't doing anything! Bar tender was nice but we were ignored due to her chatting up with a woman who wouldn't shut up. There was a group of ladies that were so loud and beyond irritating. On the other end of the bar thee was a Steelers fan so that is why I give this place one stars. The pool tables were taken by people who weren't even playing just being table hogs. As you can imagine we had one drink and left. Place was a bore. I wanted to watch the Patriots and Texans game but I had to pass due to the annoying atmosphere. Enjoy at your own risk. This is a great neighborhood divey bar. Sounds kinda repetitive huh? But really! You go inside and its one big room. It's lit so now worries of "it was so dark, i didn't know she was actually fug!"The bar runs along the left side of the place. In the back of the room are two pool table set ups. Shuffle board on the right along the wall. and a few small tables in the middle (the kind you just stand at moreso and have drinks. I came here because my friend suggested i come out. I was kinda bleh about it since it was in Dublin but he said i should come out. PLus also it was the eve of my bday. Him, his two friends and I headed over and i felt kinda doubtful about it from the looks of the outside. Went in and actually had a great time. The bartender was really nice. It was a woman with long dark hair. She bought me two drinks when she caught wind it was my birthday. The people there at the bar were nice too. Ahh Evie's, my favorite Dublin dive bar and one of the few in walking distance to my house. If I was single, and looking to get with desperate older women, Evie's would be my all time favorite place to go. It's actually a little creepy to see drunk ass women in their 40's fighting each other for the 22 year old who has to make sure mom and dad are asleep for the night before he can bring his "date" home. Good drinks, but that pool table has seen better days! Would have given it a higher rating, but I did witness something you can't un-see. A few months back, I had the pleasure of seeing two women doing the nasty in the ladies bathroom (door propped open). Great little dive bar that isn't so dive-y now that they are in the new location. The bartenders are super nice and pour a pretty good drink. We even took our our wedding party here the night of the rehearsal dinner. I know, you can say it...fancy.
