I am writing to formally express my concerns about an unfortunate incident involving one of the security officers at the avenue shopping centre. The incident occurred on 8th of September 2025 at the centre, Time the incident happened at 12:15pm and I feel compelled to bring this to social media but due to the unprofessional behavior exhibited, which was not only disrespectful but also deeply upsetting.

On the mentioned date, I arrived at the avenue shopping centre for shopping in asda and was met with an unexpected encounter. The security officer on duty, whose name was a Robert didnt get his surname, approached me and my elderly mother in a manner that was both rude and condescending. His tone was aggressive, and he used language that was not only inappropriate but also insulting. This behavior was particularly distressing for my elderly mother, who was visibly shaken by the interaction.
Specific Concerns
The officer's conduct included:
Use of Rude Language: He used derogatory terms that were both insulting and uncalled for.
Aggressive Tone: His manner of speaking was harsh and intimidating, creating an uncomfortable environment.
Lack of Professionalism: His overall demeanor was unprofessional and not reflective of the standards one would expect from a security officer tasked with ensuring safety and calm.
Impact of the Incident
The incident left both myself and my elderly mother feeling distressed and unsafe. It is concerning that someone in a position of authority would act in such a manner, particularly towards someone who is vulnerable and deserving of respect and kindness.
Request for Action
I kindly request that this should be investigate thoroughly. It is crucial that all security personnel are reminded of the importance of maintaining professionalism and treating all individuals with respect and dignity. I believe that with appropriate training and guidance, such incidents can be prevented in the future.
