You go into Argos and it's like a waiting room, with catalogues and computer screens. You pick what you want and pay, and then wait about 5-10 minutes for it to appear from the secret warehouse out the back. It's kind of mysterious and fun, yet silly. It's not really suitable for browsing - you need to know what you want. I've visited here for too many random purchases - tanks of helium, mostly. I like that you can check online and see if it's available, and then order it for collecting. I can't say the staff are amazing at customer service but maybe they're just as confused about the whole set up as me.

They have womans wear, kids wear, menswear, home wares, shoes, cosmetics and gadgets galore. I usually pop in the go to ladies wear which is on the first floor. They have concessions of Miss Sixty, Miss Selfridge, Kurt Geiger and many more. They stock Debenhams own ranges such as Red Herring where I have seen a few really pretty formal dresses at very reasonable prices indeed, they also come in an extensive range of size starting from size 6. Debenhams have recently started an advantage card that works similar to that of Boots but you can only use it on cosmetics. It's called the Beauty Club Reward Card and for every £1 you spend on beauty you get 1 point, once you spend over £25 you get 3 points per £1. When you get 500 points you get a £5 gift voucher. It may take you a while to build up your points but I guess it's better than nothing and like the Boots Advantage Card the points don't expire so you can build them up.

Four days on, Evri cannot locate the package. Today, I attempted to contact HoF customer service, which is an exercise in frustration. I requested a full refund but have only been refunded the delivery charges. Had I known that HoF uses Evri I would have never placed the order. I certainly would never order from HoF. I honestly can't say whose customer service is worse - HoF's or Evri's. They're both terrible. Unless you enjoy being gaslighted (by both HoF and Evri), I would highly discourage anyone from making an online purchase from HoF.

The first time I used it I had lost a lot of weight and did not know what suited my new figure. I was going to a wedding so went to get an outfit for that. I think if your going to do this you should be open-minded and try everything they bring, this is what I did and I got a beautiful dress that I would never have picked for myself. I have a wedding coming up in December so decided to do it again. They offer services for any type of outfit you need, like going on holiday, new work clothes and they also offer a wardrobe renewal if you fancy a change. I booked online which was quick and simple they ask you a few questions about what your looking for, what you like, colours and your sizes. I was given a 90 minute slot. I headed to the personal shopper area, based near the men's shoes department. I was met by my personal shopper, Jordan. He explained that the normal rooms they use were busy so I was brought to a make shift dressing room in Mr Fraser's old office, which was stunning, apparently not many people get to see in the office. It made the experience even more special. Jordan asked me a few questions and then he headed off to find me some outfits. I sat on the couch and looked at magazines and relaxed. Jordan then arrived with armfulls of dresses. I then began trying them on. There was no pressure to like them, but I tried them all on. Nothing in the first lot suited. So Jordan headed off again. The 2nd last dress I tried on was the one, loved it, and again like my first personal shopper experience it was a dress I would never have picked for myself. I would highly recommend giving this a go, I think you worry that you are going to feel pressured into buying something but it's all very chilled out and fun to get a little pampered.

It's a lovely stop along the outdoor Buchanan Street pedestrian mall. With four levels, lots of retail, a few restaurants, and one great chocolatier, Princes Square Shopping Centre is worth a few hours of shopping for the ladies on vacation in Glasgow. The facility is just steps from the St. Enoch subway station on the Inner Line if you need a reference to the metro stops.

Granted,…read moreI don't actually do much shopping here but it is nice for a place to take cover on a rainy day and browse the shops. This is an upmarket shopping centre which has more expensive high street shops like Reiss, Ted Baker, Vivienne Westwood and Cos (which I'm still yet to check out!). The centre is certainly decorated to match the crowd it's looking to attract - glitzy, glam and always clean and tidy. I like the size of the centre as well - it's very dinky but still has lots of shops and is easy to navigate. There's also a host of restaurants, bars and cafés but I'll be honest - I've not visited many of them. I ate at Barca probably 4 years ago and also one of the places on the bottom floor but I think that's changed hands. One down side is that if you are dining at a restaurant on the lower level, parents will tend to let their kids run riot in the centre circle which can be a bit of a mood-killer. Princes Square doesn't have a car park due to its location but it is really close to train and subway. If you do really fancy driving, probably St Enoch or Mitchell Street are the closest car parks.

The layout is much better than its sister store on Princes Street and since it is all on one level, getting around is pretty easy as you can see everything from when you enter and you won't have to negotiate any of those dreaded escalators that make you go ALL the way round to the other side of the sales floor to get to the next one. The men's department is an adequate size and is conveniently located near the front of the store. The only downside to this, is that you will have to walk all the way to the back of the shop if you want to try something on as that is where the fitting rooms are located. Speaking of the fitting rooms, they are modern, bright and have never been subjected to horrific queues when I've visited. (Unlike the shambolic Princes Street store.) One thing that annoys me is the checkouts. They are also at the back, on either side (one set in lingerie and the other in homewares) and usually have slow moving long queues. This is not ideal when all you are buying is a t shirt, a pair of jeans and some sweets. Another thing that bugs me is the till staff. I know it must be horrible working 9-5 in Primark under the harsh fluorescent lighting and with demanding customers but a smile would be appreciated. It could be stocked a bit better and they should assign more workers to the checkouts to cut down queues but other than that, this store provides a less chaotic experience to the city centre store and is much better in many ways.

But you know, sometime after the age of 16 I started to appreciate this place for what it is. We all know what Marks and Spencer do; good clothes, great food, annoyingly mesmerising TV adverts and fantastic Christmas gifts, and even if I didn't appreciate it when I was the laughing stock of my Nike Air-sporting chums, its quintessential Britishness is in with the bricks of the UK. What stands out about this particular store, however, is that even now I recognise the same old faces working in the enormous customer service desk from the days of returning unwanted Christmas gift after unwanted Christmas gift. With the city centre of Glasgow changing rapidly, it's reassuring to have a little bit of my childhood sitting there on Argyle Street, even if "check the nick of Paul's trainees!" echos through my head each time I'm in there.

I don't think the way this store is furnished represents the stock well. Everything is very dark and basic and you could be forgiven for thinking that the stock is going to be like that as well. Even the Vero Moda logo is kind of boring. However if you venture inside you'll find some very cute and feminine dresses as well as some great casual tops for layering. The prices are fair for the quality of clothing you are getting and I think Vero Moda, like H&M and Zara is a great reminder that it isn't only the British that do high street retailing incredibly well!

Black and classy, it remains open and breezy. The layout is ideal for top and dress-spotting - I always see more and more as I wander down the shop until I reach the back which always seems to have something on special offer neatly stacked on a table just before the airy changing rooms (and so it would be rude not to try something on). Despite never having bought something in the city centre branch, I have picked up several things from this one and it is one of my favourite stores in Silverburn. The staff are lovely too always admiring your purchase so you feel tip-top as you leave the store. Good shopping experience all round :)
