I've debated for a while if I should write this, because I generally don't like saying bad things…read moreabout people or businesses, even if I get a bad deal, but with how much time and money goes into purchasing a vehicle, I felt like I had to write this to help keep people from being taken advantage of. Back in mid-April, I bought a 2010 Mini Cooper with 85000 some-odd miles on it. It's now mid-July, and I have already had to trade-in the car. Now, it's not like you think. I understand buying a car "as-is," and I wouldn't be writing this right now if it was simply my fault for buying a trashy car. When I test-drove the vehicle, I could see by the slightly mis-matched paneling that it had been in an accident, and I could tell by the noise on acceleration that there was something wrong with the exhaust. In negotiations, I told Mark Begley that I would love to buy the car, but that he needed to get the car checked out to verify that there were no repairs needed on the exhaust system that would exceed $1000. During that same discussion, Mark promised me that he would get the exhaust checked out, that he would, at a minimum, add a muffler to the vehicle (the exhaust had been straight-piped as it turned out), and do a complete oil change before delivering the car to me three days later. Within 5 weeks and less than 2500 miles, the car breaks down while I'm driving. $800 later, turns out that the timing system on the car was destroyed because Wendell Greene never did the oil change, leaving me at only about 1 quart of oil in the vehicle and seriously lucky it hadn't seized the engine. Fast forward to July, I decide that the exhaust is still too loud and that I would like to get it quieted down. I am fully expecting to pay for this myself. I take it to two different shops, both of which quote me north of $2500 to repair, because there is significant damage to the entire system, none of it can be salvaged, AND, there is NO muffler on the vehicle!! Wendell Greene Motors did literally NONE of what they agreed to do!! They offered me a measly $400, after what felt like pulling teeth to even get them to acknowledge that they hadn't even done the work! I am not the brightest guy when it comes to cars and knowing how they work, and I was seriously taken advantage of by this dealership. They lied and cheated their way into selling a used vehicle that really was worth less than half of what I ended up paying for it. I would highly recommend against using this dealership, please find a place that is less shady.

I purchased a 2010 F350 from Imran back in August, only to find out when I attempted to trade it in…read morethat they sold it to me with frame damage. When I asked someone I was told there's nothing they can do about it, and asked if I checked the CarFax. Here's the thing, it didn't show up on CarFax, it showed up on Autocheck. They knew that, because they purchased it from the auctions where it's notated on the Autocheck report that it was announced at auction. I understand as is with used vehicles, but willingly putting people in a vehicle that would not adequately keep them safe in anything outside of a fender bender is just down right atrocious behavior.

I live out of state. Purchased a Chevy Avalanche from Adam. He took pictures and video and sent…read morethem to me so that I could see the truck APPEARED TO BE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. Unbeknownst to me, the entire undercarriage was inundated with rust. I drove this truck LESS THAN 20 miles and the fuel pump went up. While the truck was on the lift, the mechanic informed me that this truck will not be allowed to be driven on MD roads because it is littered with rust. The fuel line is ready to rupture as well as the steering. I have grandkids and I told Adam I had kids that would be riding with me. He knew this truck was nothing but rust. He said the only rust was on the lower door panel. But that was a lie to get me to buy this truck. I asked for video of the undercarriage as well and he sent video of an area with a small amount of rust, intentionally. When he took video of the inside of the truck, he totally hid showing me the cracked dash, intentionally. I've reached out to him to buy this truck back and void the sale but he keeps coming back with "let me check." Then just the other day he told me to talk to the finance Dept to buy truck back! Does he think because I'm a woman that I'm that stupid! He sold me the truck, not the damn financing company!!! So I would suggest not buying a vehicle from a deceptive dealership and I will be suing this dealership for deceptive practices! I am fortunate enough that I have his voice and the dealership on video lying and in numerous text messages. I'll update here shortly as well. #autoempirenorth

Zero stars for a total lack of integrity and poor customer service in their service department. I…read moredidn't buy a car here, so maybe that department is better than the service department...? I don't know but I know I wouldn't risk it.! I had some repair work done here on my exhaust. The quote was around $2k but the service manager called me and said it really needed one more thing to be "safe" and that would cost $300 more. I approved that under the caution he was giving me for the issue. Spent $2,300 here-had to literally take out an unfortunately high interest loan for this unexpected repair so my total personal cost for this transaction came to $2,749.85. On the phone approving the added suggested "repair", I asked the manager if he would mind seeing if he could get my back seat back on track (I'd taken the seat out when moving and couldn't get it back on by myself. He said, "if you'd like me to run a diagnostic on that, I can.". Silly me, I thought he might take 5 minutes to lift it back on track without gouging me further. Nope. And strangely, he actually was snide about it too. I declined the added "diagnostic". The literal day I drove my car home, my brakes went out ENTIRELY! No warning whatsoever-NO BRAKES at ALL... brake pedal practically webt straight through the floor! Scary!!! So 10 minutes after picking my car up from their "service" department.repair, I had my car towed to a different auto service place. They hoisted it up to look at the brakes and then said, we can fix the brakes, but I've got to be honest, It would be unethical for us to repair the brakes on this car because it's so damaged underneath with rust that you're quite literally in danger of the wheels falling off if you hit a bump just right. You'd be throwing money away fixing the brakes." I was devastated!!! As I'd literally JUST THAT DAY taken out a loan for the exhaust work Rose Automotive did. I was beside myself and mentioned how much I'd spent on that repair earlier that day. This man said how sorry he was that company did that to me. He said, there''s no way whatsoever that whoever did those exhaust repairs wouldn't have seen this car isn't safe anymore and not likely to last much longer at all and would've known charging you for that kind of pricey repair on this vehicle would be incredibly unethical and generally futile. He said, you could've and should've used that money as a down payment for another car. So, the literal day after paying Rose Automotive that much for a repair, I drove straight to another repair shop and then straight to a dealer and had to purchase another car. I suppose the only saving grace in this entire ordeal is that had Rose Automotive been honest with me, I would've spent even more money with them to buy a car off their lot, but after this horrific experience with that company, I shudder to think how much they'd likely have screwed me over for more money on one of their cars. This was horrible! I'm disgusted at such an astounding lack of ethics and put together with the incredibly snide and rude attitude in general of their service manager, I could never in good conscience not have left a review to warn others not to trust this sleazy, scamming company.
