I do enjoy coming here when I'm in the area. Has some good incense selections, sages, books on an array of topics, shirts, purses. Very cute and nice inside. Wish they had a little better selection of crystals. They have a very basic selection with no signage that tells you what's what. Some things are pricey so watch what you buy. The cashiers could be a little more friendly too. They are never rude but seem like they could care less and just want you to leave. read more

I stopped at the Astrology Store a few days ago with a friend who was looking for a ring to replace the hematite one she had that broke. It was our first time there. Pros: * The selection. This store is HUGE, with every available metaphysical item you could think of. Tarot decks, Oracle decks, crystals, incense, bags for card decks, books, wall tapestries, home decor, jewelry, plus a ton of more whimsical/novelty items related to spiritual and metaphysical pursuits. Seriously, the selection and diversity is unparalleled. That's about the only pro I can think of. Cons: *The staff. I don't know if this was their full-time staff or not, but they had no warmth or friendliness. The metaphysical stores I have been shopping in for decades are usually run by the same person, the owner, who enjoy welcoming their shoppers and getting to know them well. The staff that was there on the day we went didn't bother trying to get to know anybody except their friends who were stopping into the store and chatting with them at the register. I fitmly belueve "The staff makes the store". Even if you don't have the biggest selection, or the best prices, you can do a lot to keep customers coming back by going out of your way to make them feel welcome, like family, like you appreciate the fact that of all the choices they could have made, they chose to spend their money in your store. The energy in the Astrology Store was very cold and unwelcoming. As I was browsing through books I saw one on the bottom shelf that I wanted to take her closer look at, so I started to sit on the floor in front of that shelf when my friend pointed out that there was a sign telling people to not sit on the floor in the book section. So I put the book back, and decided to either order it online or buy it from another store. *Location: The store is in a very adorable section of Old Town Glendale. However parking is almost non existent, and I can see it getting very crowded with foot traffic on touristy days, Which would make parking close to the store even more of a challenge. I would not go to this store looking for ambiance, or good energy, Or to be welcome with open arms or made to feel like an old friend. But if there is something that you need immediately that you cannot find in any other store in town, it is absolutely worth giving this location a call and asking if they have what you're looking for. Unfortunately for this place, I don't see myself spending any money there at any point simply because the staff I encountered left a lot to be desired. However, my feelings about it are entirely subjective, and many people do not care about things like that, And for those people, this store will probably seem like Mecca. read more

This was my first going Into this store .I called asking if they have the product I needed Prior going into the store . so I arrived at 5:45 pm knew it closed at 6:00 pm . AS I arrived there was a lady browsing and a younger gentleman that works at the store just staring at me didn't say hello or anything which didn't bother me because that's typical being a Black women unfortunately ... so I didn't pay it no mind it's 5:50 mean while he's been watching me since I got into the store but he comes up to me to tell me we close to pretty much hurry up meanwhile he didn't say that to the other lady that was in the store just me !! I'm from the Bronx Ny Afro-Latina and idk how it works down I'n Arizona but usually everybody that is Brown usually shows love but I didn't get that. I got prejudice vibes . What a fun evening we had at Dave's group medium reading !!!! It was our first time attending and they did everything possible to be friendly and welcoming. Such a wonderful group of people !!! I wasn't sure what to expect but was very pleased that my Mother came through with something that was obviously not something that Dave could have known. I love The Astrology Store! The energy is so positive when you enter. And the staff are always so kind and very helpful. Everything metaphysical is here! Books, tarot and oracle cards, candles, crystals, sage, readings, everything about astrology, etc. I highly recommend the classes given here too. Turns out, my aura is mostly purple, with some yellow mixed in and a bright red orb in my sexy area....I know this because I have had my aura photo taken here twice. If anyone knows what this means i would be interested to find out if you think it matched my sparkling me-ness. This place has spiritual books, sage, athames, angel stuff, t-shirts...It's like the gift shop to a non-biased heaven. It is a good spot for any budding spiritualist to get a start and the experienced to get supplies. Yet the people who work here are snobbish and rude. When I inquired about reiki classes they just brushed me off and didn't provide any information for me at all... Worst reading ever. They charged up front which was weird, usually places will charge you for a service AFTER it's given. It's beneficial to them because it allows you to shop around and tip AFTER. If I paid after I'd cut that reading as short as possible. Unprofessional. Luckily, I only waisted 30 mins of my time, all Loretta or Lorie did was fish. "I feel like you're going to get tired." "Do you have issues with your mother or father?" Totally BASIC fishing techniques. No information with given with any certainty or directives, she was just completely fishing for information she could piggy back on and give some sort of "insight." It was a complete waste of time and money. And then in between fishing she would fill time up with small talk. Terrible. First and LAST time I'll step foot. read more

I was back in town visiting one of my best friends, and she suggested we go get our tarot cards read. She'd been here multiple times, and said their readers were really great, so why the hell not?! We did look around a bit and shopped before the reading started, but I can't really give an opinion on that stuff, as it's not my scene. We both had a reading with Loretta (a reader/clairvoyant), who was warm and friendly. It was my first reading ever, and she explained how it was going to work (apparently people get nervous about this. No need. Nobody's going to bite). Loretta was EXTREMELY accurate, picking up on specific details that nobody outside my close circle could have known. We talked work (she told me exactly what had been written on my end-of-year review) and personal (knew the details of some relationship issues I'd been having). Afterwards, my friend told me Loretta was 100% accurate with her as well. It's been 6 months, and I can see a lot of what Loretta referenced during the card reading coming to light so far. There are some things she told me that I'm still working on, so I'm eager to see what comes of that. I would definitely go see her again! read more

I will never ever come here again. A woman who worked there with blue eyes and blonde hair was completely rude to me, and my 2 other friends, as this was our first time. We were so excited to check this place out. 2 minutes after we walked in, we were told that the "store was closing in 10 minutes". So automatically we felt rushed. Then the lady with blonde hair proceeded to follow us around the store, making us feel VERY UNCOMFORTABLE and RUSHED. At this point I didn't even feel comfortable browsing around the store. To top it off, as my friends were paying she announced out load " LETS GO COME ON GUYS WE ARE CLOSED" as if we were a herd of cows. I was appalled . As a store, it's a bit pricey but ok. I am only reviewing the reading that I had there. She was absolutely a phony. Nothing was accurate or even close. The store owner is nice and yet, when I paid for the reading he didn't even ask how it was. That's not norm for these stores. Maybe he didn't want to hear the answer.
