We were allowed to come in and walk the property on non-wedding days so we could set up and figure out how exactly we wanted everything. This was a HUGE plus for us, as it allowed set up to be SOOOO smooth the day before our wedding as we already knew exactly what we wanted. Rachel and Luci were both super responsive and helpful, and set up was a breeze with them checking in on us to ensure we had everything we needed. Another HUGE plus for us was the fact that we were not made to use any specific vendors and could being in whoever we wanted. We got to pick each of our vendors completely on our own terms without stress or pressure from the Gathering Place. Future brides- I cannot tell you how much less stress I had knowing I had this venue and the amazing people who work there to help.

Well this trip didn't suck…read more Myself and a few of my closest idiot friends decided to have a nice relaxing weekend in the mountains away from Scottsdale, so we booked this quaint little cabin. By quaint I mean 6,500 square feet with enough pull-out couches to fit a small circus. The good: -Never ran out of hot water! -Almost every room had a flat screen TV. -I think the North Pole threw up in this house. Christmas trees EVERYWHERE. It was glorious. -Complete kitchen with everything a group on clowns could possibly need (pitchforks for s'mores, got'em) -Amenities galore, check the website. The bad: -I was expecting there to be snow and it was 60 degrees outside during the day. -One night I slept in the sun-room in the master bedroom and it got really hot in the morning...but I guess that's why they call it a sun-room. -Playing volleyball on the fake-grass area is tough because the ball kept going down the hill. -We didn't pack enough food so we had to hit up the nearby Safeway. Highly recommended.
