The most fun we've had doing art in a long time. Painting with a Twist is a fun, casual activity…read morethat fits into just about any occasion, whether it be a date night or just doing something with friends. There are a lot of class options (categorized by what painting you'll be doing) so there's good variety. We chose a very pretty painting which we did not have the foresight to realize would be pretty difficult to paint. Check-in was smooth and the studio is intimate; they also have all materials setup for you ahead of time including aprons. This is also a BYOB spot and many people had wine with them if that's the kind of twist you're looking for. Our instructor was very good during our class. She was genuinely passionate and patient with everyone, doing multiple stops and checks and reassuring us along the way that everything would be fine. This was more of an intermediate level painting that took a bit of skill and finesse so the patient attitude and slow pace was helpful in getting out paintings as close to the original as possible. The only downside to that was the activity ran well over the time we had scheduled for it (2 hours turned into 3-3.5 hours), which forced us to push back a dinner reservation we had made. That's not really a drawback if you have the time and want it to be perfect but for those maybe looking to do something after your painting then it's good to be aware of that. At the end of the event we were genuinely impressed by how well our paintings came out. The attention to detail and instruction make it so that anyone regardless of skill level can come in and put together a painting that would look good on the front of a fridge. They have many different classes and paintings to choose from and for the price it absolutely feels worth it to come back, which we will be doing soon.

Painting can honestly be a little stressful so bringing a bottle of wine definitely helped. Overall I think the price of these events is super fair given the cost of the materials and the time spent by the instructors. I would definitely recommend this for a date night activity!

I love this place as much as the kids do- it's an open invite to play and create anything they want to. The staff here is so friendly and I've seen them build a house out of cardboard (from scratch) for a little girl. We are frequent flyers here, if we have an open morning this is easily our top spot to go to. First, the play area is so fun. It's interactive, it leaves room for imagination, and it's always pretty organized. My two year old girl and four year old boy both find things to do and have fun. They have a group canvas kids can add to but also easels set up for them to paint their own creations. The craft area set up is great. Each table is sort of set up with an idea/concept like water coloring, paint pens, a jewelry bead bar for them to make bracelets and necklaces. The supplies are there for your kids to create. They take donations or recycled items like applesauce twist tops, cardboard tubes, etc. these are all available to use. Surprisingly my two year old LOVES to watercolor and all the stickers. I'm waiting for one of their adult nights because I am so serious when I say the vibes are great here. They also have a gift shop in the front entrance with items they use in the studio plus a lot of gift able items. I can never resist looking at what fun new things they have. Every single item in the shop would make a great gift for somebody. A few more woohoo's: *snack friendly, you can bring food or buy some snacks here and they have tables to sit at and enjoy your snack *they have a changing table in the bathroom *big parking lot *easy to book online and see their schedule *staff is good with kids of all ages *next door to Terra toys, I mean c'mon lol

Some folks I had already bought gifts for are gonna get tons cause I just could not pass up the cuteness and bought more. I got handmade soaps for all the ladies and cute little bottlecap keychains for my newly driving nieces and a day of the dead necklace for my best girlfriend who misses Austin so much. I also got sugar scrub and a mermaid necklace for me! Some really creative stuff here....jewelry made from buttons and recycled tin cans, sweet little vintage material purses, super soft clothes made from organic material, and of course all the whimsical screen printed baby tees. Wish I had more babies to buy for! They also have a cafeteria that looked to be serving mostly tacos but I didn't partake. Parking and driving in the area can be a bear as it is insanely packed. It's so worth it though! I vowed I would try to buy all locally made gifts for everyone this year and I did. They may not be an XBOX 360, but they are unique and bought with every person's personality in mind. That makes it special!** **that being said, I hope my Abilene kin, who think I'm weird just for living in Austin, can appreciate it. The experience lasted a little under an hour (but your time will vary). It was an art medium we had never tried before and it's fun to have this place in Pflugerville. The owner also sells paintings and jewelry from local artists, and other small items. It looks like he's offering a summer camp as well. The only negative thought I have is that you have to sign a waiver AFTER you pay (and there are no refunds, but you can reschedule). It would be nice to have the waiver beforehand to know exactly what you have to agree to in order to participate in the experience. The waiver was pretty standard (permission to use photos on social media, resin is sticky and can make a mess, etc), but I didn't like that I didn't know about the waiver and wasn't able to read it until we had paid. There is also not an OPT-OUT option for the permission to use photos, which is not okay with me, but since we had already paid, I was only going to object if pictures were taken. Luckily, there were no pics taken during our time, so it's a non issue, but it could be for some people. Overall, it's a great new art space!

TLDR: Fantastic toy shop with a huge and carefully curated selection. Wide variety of price points…read moreand fun for all ages. A few play areas plus a coffee shop. This toy store is the bee's knees! I thought I was taking my kids to a place for them to have fun but I ended up loving it as well. Aside from constantly running around to put back whatever my 2-year-old pulled off the shelf, I had a great time. Here's why this store rocks: SELECTION/CURATION: Fantastic selection. The store is pretty large and full of so many different things. There are your usual suspects i.e. dolls and dinosaurs but you can also find more unexpected items like a great selection of kites or a big shelf of finger puppets. The items seem very carefully curated. I noticed that a lot of their toys are from established quality brands or from overseas. Bought a little wooden magnetic train that was made in Ukraine. PRICE POINT: There are things at various price points. $100+ and under $1. So don't worry about your kids begging for a toy because there's a huge shelf of small toys (plastic bugs, balls, miniatures, and so much more) that are anywhere from .50 to $10. PLAY AREAS: There are several small play areas for kids including one that's more geared toward babies and toddlers. Aside from that, the whole store is a play area. Just do your best to clean up after them, obviously. BATHROOMS: Great bathroom situation. There are gendered bathrooms plus an all-gender bathroom. Each bathroom has an awesome diaper changing station with... drum roll please... FREE DIAPERS AND WIPES. I've never seen that before. So awesome. ALL AGES FUN: Honestly, this store is fun for all ages. There is a large rack of wacky sunglasses and a section for whimsical hats (obsessed with the Medusa hat). There are more grown-up toys like board games and puzzles (Rubik's cube and much more). There's a cabinet of collectible Matryoshka dolls. There are fun nostalgic items like a Sea-Monkeys kit. So much fun stuff to explore. COFFEE SHOP: There is a coffee shop attached to the store. It's super cute and filled with art from local artists for sale. Always awesome when you can get a coffee to give you an energy boost so you can be better at chasing after your kid. There are also two large chess sets available for use. Ultimately, this place is fantastic. I plan on bringing my family here anytime we need a gift for a birthday party. Amazon gets enough of my money already -- I'd be glad to support this wonderful shop and show my kids an awesome time while we're at it.
