Fair acknowledgement of an amazing establishment!

One of he beat omakasi sushi experiences I've ever had! This was one of chef Araki's last days. It was such a memorable experience from the food to the service to the saki. I can't wait to go to Japan when/if he reopens his restaurant there. His understudy who will be running the restaurant moving forward is skilled and charismatic. I will definitely go again to The Araki London !

Worth the trip! This place was awesome. Incredible service, really nice staff and sushi chefs, and delicious sushi, sake and food. It's a 2 michelin but with 3 michelin type service and food. The owner Araki-San will even see you out the door with a bow as you drive away. I posted the pictures of the food b/c I cannot remember the names of everything I ate.

Chef Mitsuhiro Araki had previously run a restaurant in Tokyo for which he held three Michelin stars. Hands down the best Sushi Chef EVER.

The Araki is hands down the BEST sushi restaurant I've ever been to and worth every penny of the not so cheap price tag. If I remember correctly, price tag is quite hefty actually. Even more than Masa.. but worth every cent. Unlike Masa, Chef Araki personally prepares each and every single bite for each of the 9 guests. Unlike other clowns like Nakazwa, Chef Araki is there every night or the place closes. If you're paying the big bucks for "the man", then you should expect "the man" to be there AND make you dinner. The quality is OUT OF THIS WORLD. He is so Zen. Beautiful to watch in action. If you want a real omakase experience by one of the best sushi masters on this planet, the best fish you've ever seen and tasted, prepared PERFECTLY, stop following the hype (the guys in the movies) and give Chef Araki a chance to give your taste buds an experience they won't forget.

Ok so the food quality is great. They've gone out of their way to source top quality ingredients to the point that it's a little contrived. Small setting to the point that people whisper. Yes the food was great - probably much better than great. But the ambience was a bit too reverred and the price way too excessive. They say you should try it once .. I don't think you really need to. But don't get me wrong. You couldn't fault the food.

Super fast, and great service. Perfect for dinner before a movie night…read more On Friday night, I did a dinner-fail situation. Forgot to made reservations before my 8:30 movie. I went to a few places, and finally got seated at Atari-ya. With 45 mins left before the movie and a hungry belly, we managed to chow down some really yummy Japanese food. If we were to say purely based on food quality, I'd give it a 3.5. Food quality is very fresh, but the presentation /cut of fish is a bit "fast-food-ish", not top notch. Based on price/quality/quantity comparison, I think it's a perfect Japanese place for a hungry belly without breaking the bank. However, the most impressive thing is their fast and quality service. Water fill? no problem. more ginger? Ok coming right up. Ponzu sauce? Right away! Bomb!

We should not still be hungry after spending £30 per head on a sushi/sashimi platter each. They were described as 'large' but we both needed an extra snack on the way home! Certainly the quality and taste remain but the price has become too expensive to make it the destination restaurant it used to be. There are so many other alternatives that overshadow here in both quality and price.

The price is much higher than other takeaway sushi, including Waitrose's Sushi Daily. It was fine and did admittedly taste fresher and better than Wasabi and Itsu. The portion of fish was also more generous in terms of the salmon to rice ratio. Ultimately though I thought the rice was just...very bland. I like sushi rice to be seasoned with rice vinegar and sugar and this was not. It fulfilled my sushi craving for lunch but I wouldn't get it again. Also, the set I got I thought was on the better end "value" wise. Their sushi ends up getting pretty pricey depending on what you get.

We had already eaten lunch so we didn't order much but that said: the crispy salmon skin and fatty tuna toro that we ordered were both delicious! They were a bit pricey (the toro was £13 alone and only came with 2 pieces, but for a snack I thought the place was great, and it was very open and comfortable to sit and rest a while since we'd been walking all day. I had very little interaction with the servers so can't comment much on that interaction (you walk up to the bar and order, which my boyfriend had done).

Korean food, on-the-go quick bites, soups and sides. Hmm. I just don't want to give people the wrong impression. It's gotta be a catchy title, something that'll grab the attention of people walking by..." The imaginatively titled Sushi & More served up the basics of what we were jonesing for on a Friday night in London: rolls, tempura, edamame for the kiddo. I thought the service was friendly -- they were planning to close at, like, 7pm, but the cook -- likely an owner -- threw together a special order for us. Generally, this is an option for the urban warrior who's powering through the day and just needs a fish fix. The price is right, too.

Their prices start from £5 for the main dishes. There is sushi, appetisers and Japanese soft drinks to go with your order as well. I went for the Chicken Katsu Curry (priced at £5.50) and it came in a bowl and the portion was good for it's price. The curry came quicker than expected so I assume that some of it is microwaved, but the food tasted good and the price was cheap so I don't expect the freshest but it can be misleading for some. They have started to do texting orders with that you can text them your order and collect it from the shop which is good to do if you are in a hurry. So a decent place if you want a cheap meal, but don't expect the best quality though.

There were times I frequented YoSushi at least once a week but this certainly made it the last time. Not great, but pretty good. The fish all tasted good - I just wish there was a bit more - but the rice (and there was a lot of it!) was rather clumpy and stuck together, and not in a way that made me feel like it was meant to be... in a way that made me feel like they skimped on the sauce, if you know what I mean. I did like the sweet shrimp and the salmon. There was only one piece of tuna and at least 2 pieces of everything else, so I wish I had more tuna... but overall it was good, and definitely a place I'd return to. I can't decide if it's pricey or not because Im horrible at understanding sushi prices. I paid about £10.25 for a bowl of rice, 3 teeny little shrimp and 5 pieces of fish.
