Everyone is so nice here. I'm a huge fan of sulwhasoo and iope and this store carries these brands. I stopped by on a whim cause I was in the area and I had run out of moisturizer. The lady who was working was so friendly and knowledgeable about the items there. She never pushed me to get anything else than what I needed. I happily left with 3 things. I came back again for other things and had my dog with me. The man who was working there told me I can bring my dog in which I was very grateful for. I was holding my dog Incase he decided to knock over anything- he's kinda big. The man told me I can just leave him on the floor since he looks heavy haha I got everything I needed and left happily again. One thing that really draws me back to this store is the generosity of their samples. They give me so many samples! I tried them all and if I liked something- I went back to get the full size bottles. They're not skimpy about their samples like some places are. Everyone is so friendly and professional here. First time I came here I was blown away. They have every Amore product I asked for so naturally I walked out with $200 of skincare products. The sales rep was great, he pinpointed my skincare needs and recommended great products (but I knew what I was getting already). When I was done I had some fantastic skincare products, an amazing abundance of samples, a pretty tote bag and a points card. The second time around, they called me on my birthday to wish me a happy birthday, sent me a birthday card and told me to come in and get a $10 gift certificate. The lady on the phone was so nice! I went today and got my gift certificate, bought the water sleeping pack I had like 10 samples of last time and a bottle of essence I almost ran out of, walked out with a ton of samples again. The sales rep was really nice and while I was paying he kept putting more things into my bag haha. I'm pretty sure I walked out with half the store in pre-packaged sample booklets. Be warned. I got the gift certificate with some samples wrapped but I didn't know it was in the package so it wasn't til after I left the store I realized that I coulda saved $10 from my purchases! -_- But thats okay. I plan on going back eventually anyway (their products last forever though so...hopefully I won't lose the gift certificate) I do think there's a difference in vibe between this store and most other stores around the area. When I walk into this store, much like all the other customers I have seen so far, everyone comes in with the sole purpose of buying their product. We know exactly what we want and how many so they cut straight to the point. In the other stores they badger you to buy stuff to make a sale. I understand they have a sales goal they must meet in order to make the store's monthly goal but they don't push their products in your face and say here buy this and this and this and this and this. They don't give you the judgemental leery eye of looking you up and down and thinking, "Psh you aren't gonna buy anything...how can I help you" I love that about them! The only practical reason for me going all the way here instead of buying it online is authenticity. Here, you know there are no mark-ups, negotiating prices and fake products. Want beautiful luminous skin? Come to Amore for your Korean skin care products. After a couple weeks of searching, I was finally able to find LaNeige's Strawberry Yogurt Peeling Gel in this store in Flushing. I became enamored with this product when I received a little sample from my mother's stash of beauty products. It smells heavenly -- really like strawberry yogurt to the point where I wanted to eat it instead of applying it on my face. it gently exfoliates and leaves your skin fresh, soft, and emollient. At $20 for a 5.1 fluid oz container, it's not a pricey luxury indulgence. The store has an elegant modern minimalistic sensibility. Clinical white walls decorated with beautifully packaged skin care products. It's quiet and serene and operates with efficiency. read more

If you know what you need and can't find it at another Amore Pacific/Aritaum location then you can go here to buy since you have no other choice. Otherwise I recommend you go anywhere else in Flushing (there's an Amore Pacific at Skyview Mall too) or Manahttan instead! I was looking particularly for Laneige products. They have a somewhat okay range, but won't have everything that is new for the season. (Ex. they don't have any of Laneige's new collection pieces from Fall 2016) But the reason I give this place a low rating is because their sales associates just make it a terrible experience. The minute you walk-in, they constantly LITERALLY hover over your shoulder staring at what you're doing as you move around the store testing swatches. Like really, are you afraid people are going to steal dirty/grimy used testers??? A lot of their testers are also completely dried up, making them pointless. And the sales girl kept re-adjusting the positioning of the testers right after I put them back into the slots... Then when you do have a question, they just answer with a few curt words with no extra detail. Not to mention visual wise the store itself looked like a mess/dumping ground... The whole center of the store was filed with unpacked/half opened shipments of products. Just the whole experience of being in this store feels completely uncomfortable and unwelcoming like you want to just buy your stuff and get out of there ASAP. Worst customer service ever. Also these sales associates which I have encountered three times now are always hella stingy with samples. AKA they don't give any samples unless you spend $100+, as I don't even get a sample satchet of anything for spending $50. I recommend you take your business elsewhere, unless this is the only place you can find to buy a particular product. read more

The sales woman went total Korean mom on me! I'll have to admit that it was intimidating at first but I had grown to love her and I believe the feeling was mutual since she filled my bag with a lot of free samples, threw in a full size body wash from behind the counter (because I came close enough to reach that reward), and gave my boyfriend a small sample kit of men's toner and moisturizer. (Awww, she liked him too.) And I did NOT buy a lot. I came in with a post-it note of two Laneige products and purchased JUST those two items. She did recommend an additional moisturizer for me but I didn't like the heavy fragrance and she did not push me to purchase it. She gave me feedback on some of the items and lightly smacked my hand away when I tried to scoop some of the product on the tester with my pinky finger. They apparently have little plastic spoons for that! It's really nice how they keep their tester products as uncontaminated as possible. The other item on my list was a Korean snail cream but they did not carry that brand. She was intrigued and looked into it (more like ask my boyfriend to google it for her on his phone haha). It was a very bizarre but family-like experience here and the prices are the same online (even on Amazon). It's probably either a hit or miss depending on the customer's preference. I've been wanting to try out Laneige products ever since Target started carrying the line but it was always sold out! I was most excited to try The Laneige BB Cushion but every Target I went to did not have anymore in stock. So I came here and they carry all the Laneige products that Target has, and more! The store is really clean and minimalistic, which is good because you're not bombarded with so many options to choose from. They carry about 3-4 Korean brands, most from the parent company AmorePacific. I found the BB cushion here in my shade, Sand Beige, and also got their Multiberry Yogurt Peeling Gel, which Target does not carry. If you're looking for a place that sells Korean skin care brands, definitely check this place out! The only negative I can say about the store and why I didn't give it a 5 star is because the customer sales rep was constantly behind me and looking over my shoulder. He made me feel so uncomfortable that I couldn't even take my time to browse around! read more

Saw some really negative reviews, so to be fair I want to add my positive experience here. Was friendly approached and asked whether I needed help. If you're accustomed to buying asian cosmetics at these kinds of beauty stores, they tend to be very close and conversational. It can be a little off putting, but I think this lady was only trying to help. When I declined an offer she didn't push any further. I was looking around pretty aimlessly, and finally settled on Dollywink brow mascara and a Laneige cleanser. Prices are mid-range. There's also a spa here. You get free samples! I'd come by again just because there are a lot of trending asian beauty products available here and that the lady was pretty nice. read more

Highly recommend this cosmetic store. Plus: Korean cosmetic products do have an expire date. And the store sending their customers coupons is a good strategy of their marketing and help u to save money when u make your next purchase. The customer service here is terrible and incredibly rude. The sales lady lied to me several times just to make a sale and pretended not to understand what I was saying after my purchase was complete. (She told me I would get items in a package deal that I didn't get.) She even pretended not to have items in stock that I wanted to purchase (the strawberry peeling gel, she magically "found" them later when I said I wanted to buy a lot of items). I cannot stress how horrible the service was. Unfortunately, this is the only physical store I know of in New York that sells the full line of Laneige. Even though it's slightly more expensive, I'm going to buy online from now on. Update: There is a store that sells Laneige two blocks down in the new mall. They seem nice enough. Stay away from the old sales lady at the original store though. read more

I understand that a Korean cosmetics store is a bit more "in your face" than other stores, as they try to cater to your skin needs. I have been using Amore products for many years now, and have not had pleasant experiences at this store. Something to note: Unlike American products that have a expiration date, Korean products have a "made on" date, which is something I always look at, because a lot of stores try to sell you older products. Just be aware: If you want to get random texts from the store offering you a "coupon" every month or so, give them your cell phone number, as this is for their VIP acount. I am not a fan of this method of "marketing" as it lists random phone numbers of their other customers, and they MASS text. I don't care if you're sending me coupons, I do not want my phone number going out in a MASS text to people I don't know, not to mention the fact that it's just spammy. I have called them 5 times and told them to stop texting me, but alas, nothing works as they apologize to me and do it again because each time, it's a different cell phone (as in the cell phone of the person working that day). If these things don't bother you, by all means, give them your business. read more

DO NOT!! Do not!! GO HERE!! If I can give a negative star I would. The sales lady (the older one with a straight bob) is beyond rude. She yelled at me over the phone before she realized I had changed my appointment. And didn't even apologize. When I actually showed up for the appointment she claimed that she was going to do my make up instead of the make up artist I talked to on the phone. Then she started to talk about how I don't keep my original appointment (not true). She continuously prepped my face although I said numerous times that I wanted my make up done by the artist I had the appt with. Seeing how she wore her make up and how incredibly rude she was, I didn't want her touching my face. She completely ignored me started to prep my face on until I physically got up from my chair and demanded to see the make up artist. The only reason I got my make up done here is because finally my make up artist showed up (20min after) and I was already late for my party and didn't have time to go back home and do it myself. Oh and did I mention at one point she said "this is not even a bridal make up. It's not that big of a deal". I don't know how this place is staying in business. While I was there i saw her being rude to othwr customers as well. It was actually funny at one point that she can be rude and condescending to multiple people at the same time. I'm sure there are other make up places in flushing. This place is not worth the frustration. Amore should ashamed that someone like this is representing them in a highly populated area. read more
