For first timers: know that the place is tucked inside what seemed like a residential building, across Columba coffee shop. (I had to ask around to find them and call the spa to find my way haha) Ok so I had a facial by Sohana at Moksha, and not only was Sohana incredibly skilled, she was also so kind and thoughtful with her feedback about my skin. She took the time to explain everything in a way that felt helpful, not overwhelming, and she was so generous with compliments--it made the experience even more enjoyable! Her extractions were thorough but gentle. My skin felt noticeably lifted and refreshed afterward. Beyond her expertise, Sohana has such a warm and lovely personality that made the whole visit feel relaxing and special. The quick foot and hand massage were a nice bonus. The place itself was clean, smells pleasant, and comfortable. Highly recommend checking them out by getting a groupon first, then at the end of your first session you can avail of the prepaid sessions (that doesn't expire) at lower than the regular price. Can't wait to be back! read more

More like 3.5 stars - came here with a friend for her birthday. She found a deal off Groupon and it seemed worth it. $60 for a facial and a small massage. We were seen without any issue and the intake process was comprehensive. I was seen first and the woman who worked on me seemed to be the owner. She seemed knowledgeable but also just ok, not that friendly and almost condescending. I asked if I had blackheads and she said yeah but in a way that was like uhh obviously yes. And all the products are her own brand - Moksha. She also used a few things on me but didn't really explain what she was doing. I had to ask but even then it wasn't a detailed explanation. I remember a warm prickly thing and also a cold tool. The only thing she explained was the extraction but she warned that it wasn't going to be comfortable. Overall I still enjoyed the facial and the massage. I appreciate that she definitely knew what she was doing and seemed confident in the facial based on the movement and pressure she applied. The massage itself was also nice and the bed was warm the whole time, but I don't think I had the full 60 minute treatment. It felt more like 50 minutes. If the tools were better explained to me and if the products were less oil based + if I had the full 60 minutes, I would give this place better marks. But it was still an enjoyable time. read more

If I could gift zero stars I would. I came here because my original esthetician is in Korea for 3 months. To the person who said it was more of a 50 min facial, I'd say more like 40 mins. I came in for a deep pore cleansing facial that was 1 hour long and told her my focus is extractions. Selina spent barely 8-10 mins extracting and the best part is she tried extracting a cyst and made it 10x bigger. She walked out the room for a whole 10 mins without explaining anything. She touched my face with the same gloves she opened and closed the door with multiple times. My face was slapped with multiple products without explanation for their function. When I confronted her about how she left the room for 10 mins at a time, she said nothing. Super scam, stay away. There was nothing deep pore cleansing about it. Will stick to my lady who knows how to properly do a deep cleaning facial. read more

I got a Groupon for their facial and massage. The technician was lovely and professional. She did a great job.

I went to Selina for a facial that I purchased on Groupon earlier in October and also booked a 1/2 hour prenatal massage. I was honestly so panicked because I had decided to drive and was so worried about being late to my appointment, however I had called Selina and she was understanding and told me not to worry and not rush - super appreciated because I understand how tough it is for small businesses lately! I got to my appointment just in time luckily and Selina sat me down to introduce herself and show me around her spa suite and the ambience was so so relaxing! She had me calm and ready to relax in a matter of minutes! She started off with the facial and incorporated the prenatal massage while the various masks she put on me were drying, and it was a total of 90 minutes of SHEER BLISS!!!!!! After my massage and facial, a couple other folks came in for eye brow waxing and facials and they were clearly regular customers from the way they greeted her, and were so lovely and polite and had wonderful things to say about her! I think Selina just gained another regular customer from me and I'm so excited for my next facial post baby :) Of note, she did mention that she services women only, and also had services available in Suffolk 1 day a week! Thank you Selina!!!! read more

Selina, owner of Moksha Cosmetics, takes care to understand your personal skin situation and determines a solution that is bespoke. Each of my visits over the years has considered my face needs at that time. That is exactly want you want in facial care! The setting is calming. I have even seen her let someone who was sleeping after a facial stay longer as she needed the rest and there wasn't a next appt. I see her monthly and each time is a pleasure. Thank you dear Selina. read more

A wonderful and very relaxing facial and massage . Loved every minute . thank you for a terrific treatment

I'm having trouble deciding on a rating for Moksha, because I did enjoy my service. The location is clean, tranquil, and I did feel very relaxed and rejuvenated. While receiving my facial, I couldn't get over what a good deal it was, especially considering the length of time and location. When I booked my appointment, I requested the Moksha Signature Facial, which is listed as $115 for 60min on their website. The employee explained which products she was using and what benefits they would have on my skin, ending this with, "So I'm going to customize the facial for you a little bit." Once the treatment was over and I was brought to the front to pay, I was told that the service was $140 before tax ($152 after tax, before tip) since it was "customized." This was not the facial I booked, nor did she mention a difference in price while explaining which products were going to be used. It was not posed as an offer to customize, more like she was just explaining the products to address my specific skin concerns. While I did enjoy my service, I didn't intend to pay over $170 for a facial; I came in prepared to pay $115 base price. I'm not sure if this is an error on their website or if this was a total swindle, but either way, I'm pretty disappointed by that. If you go to Moksha, be sure to confirm which facial at which price point you'll be getting MULTIPLE times with extreme clarification otherwise you'll get charged an amount you never consented to. read more

Be aware this is a complete waste of time and a bait and switch. From my experience this seems a sham to sell products. When I book my appointment I told the lady (Selena) I had a Groupon and she asked me to pay cash instead of the Groupon; I don't like it when businesses do that and I contacted Groupon and Groupon said to ask her if she'll take the Groupon. I texted and talked to her about my appointment. I confirmed with her that extractions were included before even booking the appointment. Then the day of my appointment I texted her asking her if the Groupon was OK she says OK for your first time I was confused because she should know it's my first time like I've been texting you for two weeks. I came for my appointment and then she started saying where do I work live and asked me several times where I lived and worked like she's fishing for information not just making conversation. I thought this was strange. Then she never asked me to fill out any information sheet like you normally get at a spa/esthetician. Next she says facials do nothing and it matters what you do at home and asking if I wash my face I never heard any esthetician say this I was very confused and I have all high end products and I take care of my skin so I was like uhhhhhhhh. It seemed like she was saying her facials do nothing. Throughout the time she was texting me about appointment she never said that she was located in a hair salon--this is fine; however, inside the room and immediately outside does not look perfectly clean, there is dirty old makeup all around, stains on the bedding. I went to the restroom came back and there was a woman eating barbecue ribs and different kinds of things right outside the door of the facial; that's not exactly the experience I wanted. The whole atmosphere was like they didn't care at all. Then she continued with a second round of shenanigans about the Groupon and saying that it's basic basic basic so at that point I'm just like OK; I confirmed it's a facial beforehand, like what the heck are you talking about and you just wasted my time. Then when I left I see the sign that says Moksha but then the ladies in the front were saying that there was no manager and that lady Selena (Moksha) was her own business. Although the ladies in the front were being nice; I felt like (some) of the women in front knew what's happening (probably the one eating ribs). So basically I wasted my time coming down here and seriously aggravated. I had appointments all day and Uber to come here; first world problems but my time was seriously wasted. And she seemed to think it's no big deal wasting your time. She seemed like she didn't have the basics down. read more
