The storefront of 168 Nail Supply NY is like any other nail supplier store from the outside, despite efforts being the first building in this tiny, rundown strip mall called the Whitestone Expressway Plaza. Since it's super easy to have just missed it/keep going without ever stopping by if you don't know the location, the only solution is to actually find it by searching it up on Google Map. Besides the nail supplier store, there're a pho spot, few liquor stores, Uncle Bill's Diner, Subway, Dunkin Donuts, McDonalds, Japanese-Americanized Teriyaki One, and a Chinese supermarket not far away from Stop & Shop. Anyway, there's a huge parking lot right in front of 168 Nail Supply. People either drive there or take the Q25 Bus to the destination since itby all means a pretty far walk from Main Street. As I take a step and walk inside, I see that aisles and aisles of acrylic and gel nail supplies are being neatly stacked on the shelves. All the way towards the back, they're selling these pedicure in a box kits. I like that they've clearly stated the price if you're either paying as a member or a non-member in the end. What a steal for the two pedicure in a box kits as I later learned that it'll be about $22 for a 2-pack on Amazon. But as a non-member, I'll be only paying $6 + tax instead. So, like take your pick. Very speedy service from friendly and helpful staff. Place is kept very clean and spotless. Definitely can see myself going back to 168 Nail Supply in the future.

During that time, I had a wonderful massage therapist whom I saw regularly until he relocated to Pennsylvania. Since then, my experiences have been inconsistent, with some therapists providing excellent service and others falling short. As a long-time customer, I have unfortunately noticed that some staff members have become overly familiar and have crossed professional boundaries. What concerns me the most is the repeated requests for additional tips during or after my massage sessions. I have already discussed this issue with the owner on several occasions and made it clear that neither management nor employees should be asking customers for extra gratuities. A tip is, and should always remain, a voluntary expression of appreciation based on the customer's satisfaction with the service provided. It is never an obligation. For example, on a $15 foot massage, a standard 20% gratuity would be approximately $3. However, I have consistently tipped far more generously--often providing a 100% tip for my sessions. Despite this, I have continued to be asked for additional money. Being repeatedly pressured for more gratuity is uncomfortable, inappropriate, and unprofessional. No customer should feel obligated or embarrassed into tipping beyond what they have already chosen to give. This practice has become one of the primary reasons I visit far less frequently than I once did. If I, as a loyal customer of over a decade, feel uncomfortable being asked for additional tips every visit, I can only imagine how first-time or occasional customers must feel. This type of behavior reflects poorly on your business and detracts from what should be a relaxing and enjoyable experience. I hope you will take this feedback seriously and address this issue with yourself & your staff. Customers should be able to enjoy their massage without feeling pressured to provide additional gratuities. Maintaining professionalism and respecting customers' boundaries are essential to preserving your business's reputation and retaining loyal clientele.
