As a work-from-home mom this Play Cafe is an absolute dream and I'm so glad to find a place like…read morethis in Quincy. I'm reviewing this business 1 month after their grand opening, so as they expand some of these details may change. Currently they have coffee and lotus options and a couple small packaged snacks (goldfish crackers, etc). They have all the expected coffee options including iced, hot, lattes, and milk substitutes. They have unique lotus flavors with fun names like "sidewalk chalk". Unfortunately I'm pregnant and am limiting my caffiene intake, but the few drinks I've had here have been super yummy and affordably priced. I'd easily compare the quality to other small coffee shops in town.  The real highlight though is their play area- which is essentially an indoor gated play room filled with toys age appropriate for kids 1 to 8. My two girls (a 1 year old and a kindergartener) absolutely love the area. There is a soft cushion climbing area, an ice cream/ coffee cart, building toys, dinosaurs, and books. They do seem to rotate toys and there are often new fun things to find. All of the toys are clean and very well-maintained. They do have a separate area just for young babies as well.  Parents can sit in the play area or at a bar that lines the area, looking in. There are also couches, comfy chairs, and cafe tables. I prefer the bar area, as I can watch my children while also working on my laptop, writing in my planner, etc on the bar top. One thing I very much appreciate is that the ambiance music is kept at a very low volume- which I think helps keep the kids at a low volume as well. The decor is comfy and gives kind of an earthy boho "beige mom" vibe- which again, is very calming. The staff are very friendly and easy going and seem to allow free-play without micromanaging the kids.  I'm just so grateful a place like this came to Quincy. We'll be frequent flyers here. Clean, kid friendly, welcoming, and comfy. What more could a mom ask for in a coffee shop?

The Space Event Center is exactly what Quincy needed for small parties and events. This space is…read moreabsolutely beautiful. I have reserved The Space for my Girl Scout troop meetings, but will also be using this establishment for my kid's birthday parties and future wedding and baby showers for friends and family. The large room consists of 8 tables with white table clothes and 6 white chairs at each table. There is ample space between each table and multiple electric outlets for decor and party accessories. We rented the place in the evening and it was extremely well-lit with bright flourecent lights- which I really appreciated. The room also has an additional kitchen area with a sink, trash can, and fridge. There is also a large bathroom that is easily accessible for handicapped individuals. The bathroom was well-stocked and extremely clean. In fact the entire place was very clean; virtually spotless. I can't wait to use this business for future parties, because it's a blank space. I love that the walls and tables are white- so it can be easily decorated in virtually any theme. It's significantly more affordable than other party rooms in town and the room is just the right size for groups under 50 people. The owner waa extremely professional and had the place all set up when I arrived. They met me as soon as I pulled up and gave me a quick tour- then messaged me as I left to ensure I was satisfied with my experience. When I reserved and paid for the space the contract was promptly sent to me and was clear and easy to read and comprehend. There were no crazy rules; basically just make sure not to break anything (which is a super reasonable request). The payment process with a credit card was simple and all done online with ease. I am SO happy a place like this opened up in Quincy! This was so needed here. We enjoyed our first experience with The Space, and we'll be back again!

I arrived for a decent timed check in and was helped promptly by the staff He was nice to provide me some tips about town and the hotel. He answered questions regarding the area. No bathtub but a nice clean oversized shower. Standard bathroom toiletries from the holiday inn express hots. The room temperature was a bit warm but worked correctly during my stay. The bed, fridge, microwave, iron, and coffee machine in the room was in good order. Fridge did a good job to keep groceries I had cold. worked. Mattress was not lumpy. Shower was the right temperature through my stay. I used the gym a few times. Some machines worked okay. Some of the remotes for the machines did not work correct therefore used the main tv. Some supplies needed to be refilled on one of times of use. There is a pool and/or spa that I didn't elect to use. There is a standard restaurant in the hotel. I didn't try it out. My room was cleaned consistently and correctly. My four night stay and bill was correctly delivered to me the last morning with no issues. Overall good service and nicely updated hotel. Nothing of the hotel was worth noting as an issue on this business trip. I would stay here again.

After a 14 hour overnight drive, we were looking to rest. When we left, I checked the app and seen that there was availability. I don't know if this was an app error or a hotel error, but I did not feel welcomed walking in to begin with. I have always had a good experience with IHG And I will note that the guy did recommend other places. Unfortunately we were forced to book a stay at a neighboring hotel, which sucks because I like my points. What could have made this better was at least feeling more welcomed, not feeling like I walked into the wrong hotel.

This woman was rude the second I walked in. As we were finishing our check in she told us we needed a $200 cash deposit to rent the room. Wtf is that about. After 2 hours of being there they accused us of smoking in the room. My husband doesn't smoke and she watched me walk outside several times to smoke. As this got progressively worse she said she took pictures of the room but wouldn't show us the pictures which tells me she's lying about it. She kept our 200 dollars which I think is illegal considering she has our credit card on file. I'm pretty sure she put it in her pocket. She didn't like us the minute we were pissed about the 200 cash deposit so she discriminated against us. Her coworker said she didn't smell cigarette smoke but she ignored that completely. I asked for her supervisors number she wouldn't give it. I asked for corporate number she gave me hotel number. She obviously doesn't want me to talk to anyone above her. My brother is a lawyer and he say YES SHE DISCRIMINATED AGAINST US.

I've never seen a margarita put in a glass that is intended for whiskey so that was the first I had sweet tea, but it wasn't sweet at all. We ordered our supper at 6:52 PM. I called the waitress over at 7:45 she said they were backed up in the kitchen. I don't believe this was true. Everyone around us had their food except us. I believe she didn't get the order in or they lost the ticket when the meal came at around 8 o'clock. The baked potato would not melt butter. You could hold it in your hand. It was cold. I ordered grilled fish. I got fried fish. My girlfriend had chicken fried steak. It's actually chicken fried chicken she had mashed potatoes. They reminded us both of when we were in high school. We get those potatoes that you're not quite sure they're potatoes. I called the waitress over. I told her about my meal. She said she'd have them remake it. I said no thank you she said she'd take it off the bill. It's not about money. I can afford to eat wherever I want. She didn't offer to do anything else and I believe us having to wait almost an hour for our food was really ridiculous. Needless to say I'll have second thoughts if I ever decide to eat there again.

There is a big log house by the bluffs for wedding family, so they can have their own privacy before the ceremony. (Btw, walking in stilettos can be challenging since the area is all grassy and soil) After the ceremony, we walked to the 2 story barn to attend the cocktail, and had their complimentary hot apple cider, was delicious. Then we headed to upstairs to have wedding dinner and after party. This place can handle more than 100 people. Very neat and clean. Service was perfect.
