Pointe D'Vine - view from barn

First time here and what a nice little gem! We came here for a wedding rehearsal dinner. The…read moremanager was so friendly and helpful, we all enjoyed our wedding practice. If you like having wine for your event at a rustic place, this place is perfect! Update: 2 days after, we came back for a friend's wedding. There is a big parking lot and entrance & exit ways are separate so people can drive easily without confusion! Bathrooms are also separated, they are in a small building next by. This place is like a little village that has everything needed for any event like a wedding! Also the Manager was so helpful and I can tell, she is a very organized person and she made sure everything is going perfect and she was smiling all the time. :) It was a beautiful october night, the ceremony took place on the bluffs by the vineyard. There is a big log house by the bluffs for wedding family, so they can have their own privacy before the ceremony. (Btw, walking in stilettos can be challenging since the area is all grassy and soil) After the ceremony, we walked to the 2 story barn to attend the cocktail, and had their complimentary hot apple cider, was delicious. Then we headed to upstairs to have wedding dinner and after party. This place can handle more than 100 people. Very neat and clean. Service was perfect.

I'm writing this as a wedding helper/guest, so I can't speak to the actual rental process…read more Pros: Very spacious banquet hall with a lovely courtyard for an outdoor wedding. The courtyard was nicely set up for an 85 guest wedding. If it's cooler weather, you'll need to rent your own patio heaters from a party company. Ample bathroom facilities. Lots of room to set up guest tables and still have a large dance floor and space for your DJ. The place is really cool looking, aesthetically, and very centrally located. They allow you to come back the next day and gather all your wedding/reception equipment and props, which is nice so you don't have to try and haul all that out the same night. You can cater in whatever food you'd like. Cons: We did help set up for the reception on the morning of, and we were a little disappointed in the cleanliness of the place. We had to sweep the floor ourselves (even after sweeping, it was still very dirty from, what I assume, was the previous night's party), and we strategically placed the tea and water dispensers to cover a stained tablecloth. We had 2 bartenders: one couldn't have been more obvious in showing how much she didn't want to be there, the other, while very sweet, was on her phone a lot while people waited. Disappointingly, they did not adequately plan for the 2 specialty cocktails that were on open bar (Jameson whisky and Cruzan black cherry rum); they stocked only 2 bottles of each and ran out of both by 830pm. The bathrooms were also out of paper towels by 830. All in all, the wedding and reception went well, besides the couple of hiccups mentioned above. Having said that, I recommend to potential renters that you have a very specific bar contract ensuring enough liquor, and that you make sure the staff have thoroughly cleaned the place prior to your event.

However, I'm regrettably writing this review because I am trying to have the next bride consider otherwise: * Lack of sweeping / cleanliness of entire venue and lack of preparedness * Dead bugs all over the bathroom when visiting the venue and the day of the wedding *False advertising on space to get ready *Toilet paper was not filled (ones that were wouldn't work properly like it was installed wrong) *The groom had to remove the baby changing table *They forgot their drill for the ceremony arch (my bridesmaids were waiting on them to get one and fix the arch as well as waiting to decorate for quite some time) *The chairs for the ceremony were pushed way too far up and my bridesmaids were sweating out their hair and makeup trying to fix it beforehand *Trying to tell us we couldn't have alcohol or food when getting ready before the event has even started *My Mom had gotten a drink accidentally spilt on her and they did not offer to help clean or change the white table cloth out before the event started *The bartending was lacking (except for Miss Tammy) and too many guests told me they were ignored / waiting too long *They did not allow one of my best friends during the ceremony to come back in 1 minute late and made her watch from the gate *Last straw - getting ready to walk down the isle and my Dad is the one opening the door for everyone in the bridal party to get into the ceremony (I had to stop them from playing on their iPad twice as I was exiting the door to get some help) Overall, having an attitude like my family is a nuisance when they are very sweet guests - not trashy or hoity toity in the slightest - is very disheartening and I do not want another bride to have the experience I had here. Save your money and go somewhere else where they treat you like a queen on your wedding day - not a peasant. The whole experience was unsat and they are not coordinated enough yet to truly run a business after taking it over from someone I know quite well. Thanks to my friends and family, we still had the wedding of our dreams. A huge thanks goes to Jordyn Crowe Photography being able to edit out the grime.
