Notice the dirtiness.
Jim K.

Although the room was decent, I had a reservation in the main hotel. They put me in this hotel which according to future bookings, costs less and I paid the same price. While the air was on, there was a strange noise coming from it. Around 2:30am, I could not take the noise anymore so I decided to investigate. It was coming from the ac unit. Covering my head with a pillow helped. Sounded like a plastic bag inside the fan or maybe something else since it looked dirty.

This is the same for 'Ramada Rock Hill' location (and I'm going to copy and paste to that one too.)…read more Stayed here on a Tuesday night after doing some Borscht Belt photography of the old resorts during my vacation. It's annoying how this place is still $135-180 a night on a flippin Tuesday considering this is such a sleepy little sticks town and not everything is even open that early on in the week. But anyway, we could have stayed in a normal king room but of course we took the bougie route and got the king suite w jacuzzi tub. OH YES. And it was pretty much worth it! (for pics, inquire within for a small fee..Cough..) So for about $215 with tax, we were able to enjoy the pool which is open until 10pm and smells delightfully like cedar (i could have stayed in there all night) but was a bit on the chilly side. I didn't mind much but compared to other hotel pools it was not the usual 80 but rather around 70. Still nice though. Sauna in locker room area that i didn't check out and an awesome beer joint across the street that will deliver if you call ahead of time. Good ass food and super affordable! Bed was clean and comfy but they need to work on their pillow game. Very soft and flat pillows and only 4 small ones. I would have liked 6 if they were this size or at least 4 nice oversized. Tv was a tit fuzzy on majority of channels but who cares, I wasn't there for to watch that. Nice robes by the tub but um, don't think about jacking them bc they are a whopping $75 a pop if you do... better off nabbing some at target for a fraction of that. Would I come again? Absolutely. Plus I think the sofa at the foot of the king bed was a pullout so you could def fit 4 ppl comfortably and split the bill. No bed bugs spotted, no strange stains, only funky smell was in the hall outside the room. I might be back! Oh and um....abundant pokemon...wait what? Oh also, continental breakfast from 6-9 maybe until 10 and it had basic things like bagels, waffles, etc and it wasnt too bad.

Room was very spacious and clean and during these very hot days, refreshingly cool. Would recommend this place to anyone. On site pool and fitness center. Pet friendly I heard too, noticed many states cars represented parked probably due to AAA site, which gets you a better rate to stay, ask for it. They have an event room.

Their waterpark is only open from 11 AM to 7 PM when basically every other waterpark that I've ever been to is open at least 12 hours a day. When the waterpark is closed, there is nothing else available in this place. Food is almost impossible to come by and if you do, you will wait an incredibly long time. The waterpark is small and crowded. Almost all the restaurants are closed until five if they open at all. Our room which was over $400 a night was not what I expected in the bathroom looked like something that you would see in a prison with the drain in the middle of the floor of the bathroom no designated shower or bath area it's just a shower curtain which had molded all over the bottom of it, over a tile floor. Our garbage had someone else else's tissues in it and our shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were all empty. This made me wonder what we waited till 5 o'clock for because checkout is at 11 and check-in is at four. That's five hours for their staff to clean the rooms. I think that that is enough time if you were properly staffed which they are far from. It was the worst resort waterpark I've ever seen or been to. The manager, sabrina is elusive. I asked for her when Daniel was at the front desk when we were trying to figure out when our room was going to be ready and he couldn't find her and then the next morning I called down and got Sabrina on the phone, but she put me on hold for forcing me to go downstairs and then wait for her yet again. This place is so poorly managed. The only good thing I can say is that the employees were nice. And I think that that says a lot because they're constantly hearing how horrible this place is and they all know it. This was also the most expensive waterpark we've ever been to. Please save your money. This place is an absolute rip off, and you will be sadly disappointed.

Usually a room rate is a room rate. Then in our room the heat was oppressive, could not get control to turn down and it was already late. Then we went to breakfast, it said to wait to be seated but no one ever came, so we finally went in and there was a buffet, EVERYTHING on the buffet was cold, eggs, waffles, omelettes, EVERYTHING! I told them about this and they said the warmers didn't work today! Coffee was undrinkable and I can drink almost any coffee, Would NEVER go back here. You are spending good money to be here and the least they can do is have the hot tubs running. It seemed like EVERYTHING was broken. The pool was freezing. All of the hot tubs were down and some of the rooms that I wanted to book services in were out of service. No one was available to give a massage. The food was also not as great as the first time. The spa water looked old and dingy. Flies were all over it. The drinks looked cheap and mediocre. Looks like they need a good renovation For now I will find another place to do yoga and retreat.

Brochure said it had a sauna, which I looked for by the gym and pool. No, there isn't a sauna. The breakfast was complimentary, but definitely not hot or what I would call continental. It was more like a few bagels, a pancake machine, and some free yogurt or coffee. I've seen worse, but this is still sub-standard. On the plus, it is private. The staff was friendly. I didn't feel unsafe staying here. It was fairly clean and the housekeeping did a good job. It wasn't the worst hotel ever, but it did feel like stepping back in time to the 90s. For the price, actually not too bad. It fit the price for a night stay fairly.
