Water in the hotel room on November 3, 2017. And they wouldn't even offer us a refund!

My family and I stayed at the Best Western in Monticello a few weeks ago. While most of the stay was perfectly fine (or at least as-advertised), a pipe burst on the last night we were there and made the water unusable. In fact, the hot water had the color of Coca-Cola. After being told it would be fixed within an hour or so, it ended up not being fixed by the time we checked out the next day. As a result, we had to brush our teeth with bottled water and some in my party refused to shower or even wash their faces (being worried about health issues). We also were not comfortable eating the included breakfast, being worried that the water would have been used for the coffee and eggs. When we asked the front desk about it the next morning (when the water now resembled cream soda, not Coca Cola), we were told that this was a Monticello-wide issue. This was not true, however, as confirmed by (1) Best Western's customer service team today, and (2) the breakfast place we went to because we could not use the facilities. While pipes bursting can happen, the reason for the review is that Best Western Monticello refused to refund the cost of that one night. Instead, they offered an $11 AAA discount. This is simply inexcusable customer service and, as a result, I will no longer stay at any Best Western hotel.

Worst place I have ever stayed. A total dump and 155.00 a night. Breakfast sucked and staff very rude. Miserable experience.

Stayed here in March 2017. It was clean, nice and in every way adequate. Nothing fancy but more than fine for a night or two stay.

When we arrived at 2:30, we asked if we could possibly check in early, but was told we had to wait til 4. No worries. Went to have a bite to eat at El Gatos and then walked around the casino for a bit. We came back at 3:45 to a line out of the hotel front door to check in and one employee checking in guests. We finally got to check in after 4. Went up to room which was not very clean, no laundry bag, etc but we were in a rush to shower and get to the show. When we got back, I informed the guy front desk that the bathroom was not cleaned well. He said they'd put a note in the system. Next morning at check out I spoke to the girl at the front desk of the room and the vomit on the 4th floor in the hallway and it looked like someone tried to clean it up; but it still smelled and there was still remnants of it. She apologized and said someone would call. A few days later someone left a VM on my husband's phone that they would credit us the $25 resort fee. I didn't think that was acceptable, so I called back and spoke to Libby who was very nice. She said she would have another manager call me back, but over a week later, no one has called back. Pretty disappointing experience.

It's annoying how this place is still $135-180 a night on a flippin Tuesday considering this is such a sleepy little sticks town and not everything is even open that early on in the week. But anyway, we could have stayed in a normal king room but of course we took the bougie route and got the king suite w jacuzzi tub. OH YES. And it was pretty much worth it! (for pics, inquire within for a small fee..Cough..) So for about $215 with tax, we were able to enjoy the pool which is open until 10pm and smells delightfully like cedar (i could have stayed in there all night) but was a bit on the chilly side. I didn't mind much but compared to other hotel pools it was not the usual 80 but rather around 70. Still nice though. Sauna in locker room area that i didn't check out and an awesome beer joint across the street that will deliver if you call ahead of time. Good ass food and super affordable! Bed was clean and comfy but they need to work on their pillow game. Very soft and flat pillows and only 4 small ones. I would have liked 6 if they were this size or at least 4 nice oversized. Tv was a tit fuzzy on majority of channels but who cares, I wasn't there for to watch that. Nice robes by the tub but um, don't think about jacking them bc they are a whopping $75 a pop if you do... better off nabbing some at target for a fraction of that. Would I come again? Absolutely. Plus I think the sofa at the foot of the king bed was a pullout so you could def fit 4 ppl comfortably and split the bill. No bed bugs spotted, no strange stains, only funky smell was in the hall outside the room. I might be back! Oh and um....abundant pokemon...wait what? Oh also, continental breakfast from 6-9 maybe until 10 and it had basic things like bagels, waffles, etc and it wasnt too bad.

Their waterpark is only open from 11 AM to 7 PM when basically every other waterpark that I've ever been to is open at least 12 hours a day. When the waterpark is closed, there is nothing else available in this place. Food is almost impossible to come by and if you do, you will wait an incredibly long time. The waterpark is small and crowded. Almost all the restaurants are closed until five if they open at all. Our room which was over $400 a night was not what I expected in the bathroom looked like something that you would see in a prison with the drain in the middle of the floor of the bathroom no designated shower or bath area it's just a shower curtain which had molded all over the bottom of it, over a tile floor. Our garbage had someone else else's tissues in it and our shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were all empty. This made me wonder what we waited till 5 o'clock for because checkout is at 11 and check-in is at four. That's five hours for their staff to clean the rooms. I think that that is enough time if you were properly staffed which they are far from. It was the worst resort waterpark I've ever seen or been to. The manager, sabrina is elusive. I asked for her when Daniel was at the front desk when we were trying to figure out when our room was going to be ready and he couldn't find her and then the next morning I called down and got Sabrina on the phone, but she put me on hold for forcing me to go downstairs and then wait for her yet again. This place is so poorly managed. The only good thing I can say is that the employees were nice. And I think that that says a lot because they're constantly hearing how horrible this place is and they all know it. This was also the most expensive waterpark we've ever been to. Please save your money. This place is an absolute rip off, and you will be sadly disappointed.

YO1 Longevity & Health Resorts - Huge leak in main lobby. Employee "Brandon" says this had nothing to do with our stay here. No sign of awareness or apology for appearance.
