The place is pretty big and was not crowded. Check-in was easy and friendly. I reserved a nonsmoking room but got a smoking one. I didn't know hotels still had smoking rooms... I guess I could've changed rooms but after riding 300 miles on my bike I didn't care much and just wanted to go eat dinner. I almost gave 3 stars because of the breakfast. Pretty bad selection even for a continental breakfast. Not a big deal as a good diner was less than a block away. Overall the hotel was clean and very safe. I will stay here again on my next trip through.

OK,I must offer this disclaimer that I tried another motel in town with the initials D.I where I'd…read morestayed for 2 nights last summer, but they were sold out 5 weeks ago ( 'twas crappy anyway thus I gave them a poor review), so the Budget Inn was my only choice and I needed a place to stay for 4 nights. I was concerned by the external appearance which is not particularly elegant, but one ought not judge anything by external appearances. I suspect that the manager may well have also been the owner, and I was greeted with a warm "we've been expecting you" welcome. My room seems to have been refurbished within the last several years, and it was quite clean and everything functioned as expected. Free wifi with a password and strong signal was provided, and they had a small refrigerator and microwave, gair dryer (never assume!)as well as TV which I don't watch. I was on ground level and admittedly didn't explore or inspect the 2nd floor. I didn't notice whether there was an ice or soda machine. I was told that housekeeping would not come daily unless I wanted them to which I did, and the room was nicely freshened every day. I found no chocolate candy on my pillow every day, but that's ok because I just wanted a clean safe place to stay for 4 nights. The walls were not made of cardboard, so there's that as well. Did I mention that it was nice and clean? I will have occasion to visit the Liberty environs again several months hence, and will definitely stay here again and never go to the Days Inn in town which was horrible in my experience. I highly recommend the Budget Inn in Liberty and suggest that you stay there too!

HOWEVER, clean, air conditioned, working tv, near the highway. Hospitable accommodating staff. Not exactly the ritz Carlton. But we shouldn't have expected that. Thumbs up!!!

I got to hotel and they tried to turn me away in the lobby saying they had no rooms available…read morewhen I had this room booked from the day prior through Expedia 2.One of the front desk guys tried to tell me to let him "walk me to my room" - automatic red flag 3. BOTH beds and all bathroom linens were stained and horrible - had to ask for new sheets and towels 3. THE SAME front desk guy tried to lure me into their "laundry room saying he needed help with the new linens - AUTOMATIC RED FLAG #2 4. At around 12:30 AM I hear fidgeting at my room door - I get up from bed with my husband walk towards the room door and the door swings open (thank god I locked it with a chain lock that's on the inside of the room door) - Low and behold it was the SAME front desk guy trying to come into my room I ask him what this is about and he tries to say he meant to go to the same room as mine but on the 2nd floor- WORST excuse ever as my room is on the FIRST floor NOT the SECOND I HAD MY FAMILY WITH ME INCLUDING MY 2 SONS (4yrs & 3months) Thank GOD I wasn't alone &with my kids - God only knows what would've happened if I was SMH! With that being said I believe that it is safe to say this hotel is a SHIT HOLE . If your looking for a place to stay where pervs run the business and your all for getting harassed just because your a somewhat of a decent looking female then this is the place for you... if not then I suggest saying FAR away from this place ESPECIALLY with kids
