Tuna Melt Burrito made by Chef Uriel

This place is always lively on game nights, has the BEST munchies in town in my most humble opinion. Sylmar a very own unique little corner here has a lot to give to the community offering a great place to eat with great and personal customer service, always open to adjust your order to your liking. The manger (Shaina) is one of the most amazing human beings with a heart for service (very rare to come by these days), whom is ALSO is one of THE BEST BARTENDERS IN THE VALLEY. Yes I said it, they have fun with their mixology. You can tell they are a purist of their craft and accentuates the prosperity in their leadership by giving back to community simply by just being themselves. A GREAT local joint. I'm glad we have them here in Sylmar, ShoutOuts to Shaina and Chef Uriel

Heard about this location off of TikTok had to come and try it out although it's a golf course it is very peaceful and welcoming the food. OMG Christian the chef is amazing. He cooks with so much love. It's like a homemade meal even though we literally just had breakfast food. The pancakes were thick and fluffy bacon, nice and crispy eggs fluffy top notch on the food Kim our bartender was amazing friendly attentive talkative and makes a really stiff drink. We cannot wait to come back and enjoy more of the ambience more of the environment and more of the food and drinks thank you to Christian and Kim for making our first time a very memorable and pleasant one.

Plain wings with mango habanero sauce on the side, doble bacon cheeseburger, and a coke.

Thank you Shaina!!! Excellent service as always. SYLMAR BOMBS!! That's all I have to say. Order them if you guys get a chance, they go along great in between drinks.

I loved this place! It is such good place to relax and have a good quiet time. The food, the service, the ambience we enjoyed every bit of it. I highly recommend.

i like the club house, its facing the 18th whole so you can enjoy the asada cilantro onion tacos while sipping on a cold one . the staff was sweet and I was well accommodated for coming in the slowest part day of the year. neat spot for a regular

Great little place with nice staff and view of the golf course. Sort of a small town hole in the wall place with fun "regulars" coming in and out. Full bar with breakfast served until 2pm (except for the fame breakfast burrito which is served all day). Everyone was friendly and I liked my breakfast sandwich! Yelp contact number is wrong. I posted the correct one under "Tips."

A burger we ordered

We have been living in Sylmar for 5-6 years now and haven't been able to find a place with amazing breakfast burritos or patty melts. I am so glad we found this place. Not only is Uriel and Pedro amazing chefs and make great food but the bartenders shaina and zizi are so sweet and always take care of me and the family.

Grilled chicken sandwich. And yes....that's SUPPOSED to be pepper jack cheese on it, although it tasted nothing like it.

Passing through Sylmar on our trip headed North, we stopped for breakfast here, as the Yelp reviews were good. We weren't aware that it was a clubhouse on a public golf course. The restaurant was completely empty aside from a partition wall where there was some sort of conference going on with guests speaking loud in microphones and clapping, etc. When we say down we were immediately told that they ran out of bacon and potatoes (which happens to be the sides that come with breakfast). Based on that, i opted for a grilled chicken sandwich with pepper jack cheese. My sandwich was mediocre at best. There was a very odd, tangy flavor that I think may have been from the cheese. It didn't sit well with me, that's for sure. The bathrooms were old and felt dirty. No paper towels after washing hands (how are the servers able to stay hygienic?) The maintenance man was even in the bathroom without a sign outside the door to give warning. The best part of the meal was that our server was very pleasant. Doubt I'll come back here again on any future road trips though ...

(3/5) Food was actually solid -- biscuits & gravy were rich,…read moreeggs cooked right, and the sausage hit. No complaints on flavor. But the experience got weird real quick. The menu clearly states that Ranch House breakfasts come with your choice of country potatoes or hash browns. I ordered the Biscuits & Gravy & Eggs (which is listed in that section), but when I asked about the missing hash browns, I was told they don't come with it and it's an extra charge. That directly contradicts what's printed on their own menu. Not trying to argue over potatoes, but it's the principle either update the menu or honor what it says. It just leaves a bad taste, and not the good kind. I'd come back for the food, but the pricing/menu clarity needs work.

I have wanted ethnic and exotic restaurants to move farther north and even come to the SCV. My wishes have been granted and we have Lebanese, Japanese, and Indian restaurants that rival the best in the southland. But, we lacked Ethiopian, one of my favorite cuisines. Not any more! Joy of joys, there is Ranch Side Cafe, just 20 minutes from Valencia and a stone's throw from two freeways. Ranch Side Cafe is sui generis. There is a stupefyingly broad and deep menu of American and Mexican fare (see my photos), but most and best of all, there is a very credible Ethiopian list too and that is what we visited for. A sunny cool day, bathed in golden light, this place just glowed warmth and welcome. It took a minute to appreciate all the little touches and the original artwork on the walls. There were ample tables inside and out, and a cheerful staff. The minute we walked in, we were greeted from across the room and invited to sit anywhere we wanted. I always choose a window (clean!) and then sat down to study the choices that were many. People think vegetarians eat rabbit food, you know, plain vegetables and non-gluten breads. If anyone is observant they will realize that we eat far more complex and seasoned food than meat-eaters. Ethiopian meals place a large emphasis on non-animal dishes, so it is a natural for me. Add to it that they have unique and elegant spices and the ordinary vegetable becomes a heavenly ambrosia. Also, it was full even on a late Sunday afternoon -- people streamed in the entire time we were there. Lake View Terrace (of Patrick Swayze fame) is a beautiful, verdant, horse-loving town, too, so the trip there was delightful as well. Our vegetarian platters were cooked to order. We enjoyed cups of delicious hot Italian coffee, a lovely server named Marisa who anticipated our every wish, and we took home half of the generous dishes we got. The tab was downright scandalously reasonable. Sunny, warm, cheerful, clean, delicious, upbeat and homey -- we are going to return for the Mexican menu next time. I am grateful to the gods for hearing my plea for Ethiopian food so close to home.

Family owned open for 23 years, this little gem in Shadow Hill is amazing. Walking in you don't feel like you're in California but in some country side in the south. Shadow Hill is a horse town so it's definitely giving the south. Anyways I digress... I got the steak and eggs with a muffin on gravy and my friend got the country fried steak with pancakes. We also got sourdough bread with butter on the side. Emily our waitress was very nice, sweet and attentive and so was everyone else. From the time we placed our order, it didn't take long when we got our food. The food was cooked to perfection and tasted fresh. I will say they had a pretty good selection for breakfast, that also included Mexican/Tex mix breakfast. We will definitely be coming back to try their lunch. If I had to rate this place it would be 9 out of 10. If you're in the 818 area please be sure to visit this spot. Side bar muffin and gravy so good and the pancakes were amazing they were so fluffy and the syrup was delicious not too sweet. She loved it so much that we ended up ordering a second plate of the regular French toast. The food was delicious, and the service was wonderful. As always, the food was great, portions are generous, the restaurant was busy and our server was nice. My friend and I came in for breakfast, ordered our entrees and both ordered iced tea. The cups our beverages were brought in, were plastic to go cups, but I was like okay whatever, maybe the kitchen is busy and they didn't have time to clean the glasses. My friend asked for a refill, and I don't remember if she was brought over an entirely new drink or if the server took her plastic cup away, and refilled it. About five minutes later when I asked for a refill, we were then notified that they charge for refills. So, the first time we were charged for a refill without being notified, and then when I asked for a refill we were then told of this "refill" charge, which is basically the cost of an entirely new drink. I declined the "refill." So, for 3-20 oz black iced teas we were charged $12.75. I understand that prices are going up, and restaurants may charge for refills, but the way this was handled was off putting and kind of gross. AND THEN, there is something on the receipt called "cash discount", but it is actually an additional line item charge (I paid w/my Visa cc).

The space is large and open, with lots of tables that can accommodate different party sizes, and the music set a nice, relaxed vibe. The food was great. We also ordered the breakfast sausage bagel, which was satisfying and perfect if you want something filling without being too heavy. The orange juice tasted fresh, which is always a plus. The only thing I'd suggest improving is the coffee -- unfortunately, it wasn't great. Service-wise, the staff was friendly and organized. Each waitress handled her own section, and everything from the tables to the floors was clean. As for pricing: tip was not included (as of Feb 2026). The only items that didn't end up in the trash were the churro and the tiramisu. Everything else was dry, stale, or hard enough to make you question how long it had been sitting there. The lemon bar and apple bar tasted like they'd been aging in a display case for days. The cakes were so dry they practically crumbled into dust. Freshness clearly isn't a priority here, which honestly isn't surprising when the menu looks like a novel. When a place tries to offer a hundred different desserts, quality is usually the first thing to go. For a bakery/dessert shop, freshness is the bare minimum. Charging premium prices for what tasted like leftovers is unacceptable. We were excited to treat ourselves -- instead, we threw most of it away. Save your money. There are plenty of places that actually bake fresh desserts and don't rely on an overloaded menu to hide declining quality.
