Paella. Way too spicy! Couldn't enjoy the flavor either all that heat.
Luisa H.

Food and service at the 05 is always wonderful! We continue to dine there because the paella is our favorite meal! Well, unfortunately, this time the paella was not prepared the way it has been in the many times we've ordered it. We asked our server if they have a different chef or different recipe they were using. The server said there is a different chef, because the chef that was there went to their other restaurant (07). The paella was way too spicy and didn't have the normally smoky flavors of Spain. We were very disappointed.

Great place for happy hour. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Covered patio nice option.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Had a skinny margarita, excellent and also house, gin and tonic. Both good choices.

Tuna Nachos & Strip Steak

The food and service are incredible - a well rounded dining experience. We had the Tuna Nachos and Strip Steak, both were so flavorful. We highly recommend and will be frequent often.

We sat at the bar with Brayden and he was so kind and so attentive! Husband and I ordered the Brussel salad, bourbon chipotle wings and hot honey mustard wings. All of it was sooo good!!!! Spicy, sweet, crunchy ugh. Also recommend the bananas semifreddo with brown butter fried pound cake, and bourbon banana sauce!! Can't wait to go back!

To die for family style tapas! The 05 is the perfect place to enjoy food as a group. Tapas are general small bites to be shared but what The 05 does is elevated that in larger portions so everyone gets to really taste the flavors coming from each dish. They are known for their Brussels sprout salad which lived up to the hype. I found myself digging through to make sure all of the Brussels sprouts were really gone. I wasn't sure the sweet potatoes would work but with the cheese and nuts it all came together in such a unique way. We couldn't stop eating it. The tuna nachos were made with fresh wonton chips, chopped tuna, guacamole, and a wasabi aioli. I had to fight my husband for the few bites he let me take. He's a big fan of wontons and wanted to order a second just to keep eating them. Finally the Garlic Shrimp, get them. For such a simple dish the flavors were built into this dish so well. I really enjoyed the garlic oil which definitely shouldn't be skipped. Everything on this plate just makes sense together. The shrimp were beautifully cooked paired with the tomatoes and feta it's so simple but there is nothing simple about the flavors. I love this type of dining experience. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The drink menu is well thought out and offers many options. The staff here is friendly but more than they they help each other's tables so that you know there is someone available whenever you need anything. We will definitely be back!

Extremely loud with traffic roaring behind us. The sweet potato tempura was fine, well plated and attractive but not especially tasty. Service was haphazard but we got the orders straightened out and did enjoy our wine. We would go back to join friends but it won't be a favorite.

Ok, I'm a little biased bc this place is only 3 blocks from the house, and they are dog friendly, so we frequent here at least 1x a week! The food is outstanding! The service is usually great (we all have our off days) and the spirits selection is fantastic! I absolutely love that they have a vegan menu! The veggie buster is Hands-down the BEST in Greenville and probably the BEST I've ever had! Very tasty menu.

It is found tucked behind the building with only a small, letter-sized paper sign marking the entrance. No flashy signage, no obvious storefront, which adds to the appeal if you're into that kind of hunt. Walking up to it late at night can be a little intimidating but it is well lit which I greatly appreciated! Once inside, the space is dimly lit and small, which makes for a genuinely intimate setting. I'd say it's good for a quieter, more conversational vibe rather than a loud night out. We went with the bartender's choice: pick a base liquor, then two words to describe what you're after. I went with vodka and "slightly sweet, refreshing," for $18. The bartender nailed the brief but it wasn't a drink I'd think about again or specifically order by name. Solid execution, forgettable flavor. Service was the real standout. Our bartender was excellent at walking us through the concept and translating vague requests into something that actually worked. That, plus the atmosphere, is enough to bring me back to see what else is on the menu since we made it there just in time for last call so I ended up only having one drink.

The brunch portions were generous (unlike the dinner portions), and the food was actually really good. The brunch drinks were amazing as well. We also loved the beautiful spring decorations throughout the restaurant. Unfortunately, service still needs some improvement. We had the same server as our previous visit, and he wasn't very attentive. We had to repeatedly remind him about things, and when it was time for food delivery, he couldn't remember who ordered what. Ironically, the staff member bringing out the food did a much better job making sure everyone received the correct meal. One thing that was disappointing was being charged the automatic 20% gratuity for a large party, even though our group only consisted of five people, not six. Overall, there are still some areas that need work, and the elevator was out of order during this visit. However, the quality of the brunch and drinks was enough that I'll definitely be back--just for brunch. And will obviously have to request a female server when I book

Really good food that we enjoyed thoroughly. Very interesting menu-fusion of many cuisines featuring many ingredients that found their way into places one would not expect. With happy results! I had the salmon moussaka. The salmon was delicious-slightly blackened. Great quality salmon. Paired nicely with the lovely tzatziki and accompanied by salad heavy with toasted garbanzos and mucho quinoa, 'cukes, endive-heavy greens and a spot on bright dressing. Sister had black bean burger on dressed bun that was accompanied by perfectly prepared steak fries with house made ketchup that had a slight heat to it. Really good as well. Kitchen staff nailed the preparation and everything came out perfectly. First meal out in Greenville (as we cook). I could not have been more pleased. Great value for the price. Certainly not inexpensive, but not outrageous. I will definitely be "stealing" this moussaka dish and presentation for my wife the minute I return home! Menu is in transition per our wait person, and one interesting dish was not available. And a croquette dish had been substituted the croquettes for a latke-like pancake (I presume)-not a croquette. Extremely friendly to the veg crowd! Seems like a great kitchen and well run restaurant. Highly recommended!

The atmosphere is very inviting... clean lines.... clean restaurant... terrific attentive service. We looked for a restaurant in the Greenville area that offered vegan and non vegan options. So this fit the bill. Richard said the veggie burger was a bit too soft for his liking. I say that in reference to a vegan burger we had in Berlin that was quite meaty in texture. I think using pea protein really makes a difference in texture... it is used more overseas than in the US. I had the zucchini and potato arepa. It was very tasty and quite filling!!!! A little too heavy for me for lunch... very hearty option. Our waitress was right there when we needed her, kept our water glasses filled, which is important to me because I drink a lot of water at meals. Our daughter had the Brussel sprouts, which she said were delicious. Serving sizes are good!!

I had the Up In the Air. I'm more sensitive to sweetness than most, so even though our waiter said it wasn't particularly sweet, I asked them to cut the sweetness further and they accommodated it without issue. My friend had the Ginger's Have More Fun, made with their own house ginger liqueur instead of ginger beer. It wasn't overly syrupy, but the syrup notes were present enough to undercut what could've otherwise been a more refreshing drink. We split the Nacho Average Nachos. It was great for picking at while we chatted and had a good concept, with a solid mix of pickled toppings, rich queso, and protein, and chips that held up fine (no sogginess). The execution didn't rise above the idea. It was a fine, forgettable plate rather than a memorable one. Good portion for two, though. Overall, a nice spot for golden hour drinks if you're already in the area, but not somewhere I'd make a specific trip for.

Such a fantastic location, on the corner of McBee Ave. The building and setting is gorgeous inside and outside seating. Both very large areas that would be awesome for evenings out.
