After driving by this place countless times, we finally gave it a try with a couple friends. We came for dinner without reservations but they were able to seat us right away. Food and service at the 05 is always wonderful! We continue to dine there because the paella is our favorite meal! Well, unfortunately, this time the paella was not prepared the way it has been in the many times we've ordered it. We asked our server if they have a different chef or different recipe they were using. The server said there is a different chef, because the chef that was there went to their other restaurant (07). I picked up a margarita flatbread for takeout/lunch today. I loved the overall flavor of the flatbread. Salted and seasoned nicely. The mozzarella was fresh tasting and melted nicely. The tomatoes were also enjoyable. Great service too, I was offered a drink while I waited for it to cool. My only issue was the seed oil used on the pizza bread (canola/soy/etc.) I am very health conscious and avoid vegetable/seed oils. Regular butter is much healthier and less inflammatory. Switch out the seed oils for butter and I'd order daily! read more

To die for family style tapas! The 05 is the perfect place to enjoy food as a group. Tapas are general small bites to be shared but what The 05 does is elevated that in larger portions so everyone gets to really taste the flavors coming from each dish. They are known for their Brussels sprout salad which lived up to the hype. I found myself digging through to make sure all of the Brussels sprouts were really gone. I wasn't sure the sweet potatoes would work but with the cheese and nuts it all came together in such a unique way. We couldn't stop eating it. The tuna nachos were made with fresh wonton chips, chopped tuna, guacamole, and a wasabi aioli. I had to fight my husband for the few bites he let me take. He's a big fan of wontons and wanted to order a second just to keep eating them. Finally the Garlic Shrimp, get them. For such a simple dish the flavors were built into this dish so well. I really enjoyed the garlic oil which definitely shouldn't be skipped. Everything on this plate just makes sense together. The shrimp were beautifully cooked paired with the tomatoes and feta it's so simple but there is nothing simple about the flavors. I love this type of dining experience. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The drink menu is well thought out and offers many options. The staff here is friendly but more than they they help each other's tables so that you know there is someone available whenever you need anything. We will definitely be back! read more

They had a variety of wines, a few craft beers and a menu of their own cocktails. Their craft cocktails are about $10 each and are delicious and strong! I had the Old Fashioned and The Skinny 05 - I'm a whiskey fan so the Old Fashioned was 100% for me. Yeah, you know, it's a decent local joint. There is a lot of energy near the bar, communication is fairly effective, and who appears to be the owner pops in and out quite a bit. The food is good, but does not blow me out of the water. The Smashburger is not smashed and is a little bit sweet, but it's decent for a local bite. It's fine. I like it. I don't think I'd rush back. The 05 is a sweet spot and nice if you're trying to snag dinner off the beaten path of downtown. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Parking around 7pm was a little chaotic (we ended up parking across the street.) Restaurant was crowded, though we got lucky with some seats at the bar and we received excellent service by Nick/Nicolas! He was funny, attentive, and kind. Went here for a late dinner on Saturday night with my boyfriend, and the entire experience was fantastic! The inside of the place is very modern, with the inside dining room easily blending into the warmly lit outside space. I loved the nice little granite tables. Our server, Pierce, took very great care of us and was very accommodating, even though the place was very busy (at 9:30 pm!). On to the food and drinks... everything was excellent. We shared their charcuterie board, which had a fine selection of meats and cheeses, as well as the best olive salad. My boyfriend ordered the sliced steak and I ordered the paella. The sliced steak was good, but the paella was out of this world. It was so flavorful, hearty, and filling. Next time we're going to get the family size and just split it between the two of us! The prices were also very reasonable for what you're getting. Their chocolate and expresso martinis were tasty as well. Chef Jennifer Barone is an incredible talent. She gets my palate and consistently puts something in front of me that is not only beautiful, but is eye-rolling delicious.
