They couldn't do anything about mildew, so I cleaned the grout on the floor before they sealed it. Looks like they put black marks on the white tile on the walls while scrubbing, and they didn't clean the grout. Worst part, is it seems like they're trying to do a good job, but not able to achieve it. We we used them 6 years ago we were thrilled with the results, but stay away if you want tile and grout work.

Therefore, if you have animals in your home, & want to keep your home clean & smelling nice, you know, like I do, the importance of using a reputable carpet cleaning company who values their customers. Never in a million years did I think that Upfront Home Service would do me dirty like this after all of our years of working together but I guess that's what happens when a company gets GREEDY. They forget that it is their long time customers who helped them to succeed. Recently, we scheduled a move out carpet cleaning with a few patch repairs. At first, I thought everything was going great until I saw the one patch job. We brought it to the technicians attention & he said that was the absolute best patch that could be done. I didn't agree but waited until it dried. After he left, I went upstairs and noticed that the scent that is usually very pleasant after carpet cleaning was not there but instead the stench of dirty water was present & extremely strong.This was not the norm in past jobs with them so I immediately knew something was not right. I called the office & asked them to send someone over right away to see the job that was done and to smell the odor. I thought Rachel was going to send over a supervisor to check things out the next day but all that came over was a regular technician with a can of deodorizer to mask the odor. I thought they would have redid carpet & fixed the patch but that was not the case. Mind you, my circumstances have never changed during the 9 years I have used Upfront Home Services I have always had animals, & yes, animals have accidents. There was no more or less than the norm. After they cleaned my carpet, the carpet smelt great each time, so they cannot say it was my fault or point fingers. If they had only come out to see for themselves what I was referring to after I asked them to, they would have seen & smelt what I was talking about but they chose not to. A few days after this took place, & after I had a few moments to myself after moving State to State, I wrote an email to the owner, Joseph Pais expressing my concern & instead of reaching out to me personally, he had someone by the name of Daniel Guida call on his behalf. He seemed nice at the time & said he would send someone over to fix. I explained to him that the second visit should have handled this & that we no longer had access to the home. We moved out. I told him we had spent almost $1000 on this work & the least they could do since they didn't fix any of it on second visit was to maybe refund us something. Maybe 15-20 percent of the cost since the job was not done right & no one thought it necessary to stop by next day to see what we were talking about. Well a week later, Daniel did not call me back so I sent a follow up Text to him yesterday. I saw that he read my text but didn't feel he should be professional & reply. I then sent another email to the owner, this morning, & he had the nerve to offer me a refund of $50 & a $300 credit if we ever returned to Texas & needed carpet cleaning. We moved to Florida 2 weeks ago AND WHY DO I NEED TO WAIT TO RETURN TO GET A CREDIT? REFUND ME NOW. THE JOB STILL SUCKS!!!!! If Joseph or Daniel had come to the house, they would have witnessed first hand our complaints & the odor we had after they cleaned it along with the really bad patch job. If our 9 years of business means nothing to them & they insult me by offering me a $50 refund after spending almost $1000 on this past job, then they can keep it. We have dogs - walking mess makers - and we have Burke come out about once a year to undo the dirt and grime that living our life creates. They arrive on time, take the steps to ensure their hoses don't damage our painted walls or trim, they're detailed, efficient, and most importantly, do a fantastic job at a fair price. I can't say if they're the "cheapest" - they do very, very good work and for the time, care, and effort they put in, I think their charges are very reasonable. I can't tell you how disgusted (but pleased) I am with the murky coloured filth they pull out of our floors every year. The carpets look brand new every time they come out. The grout and tiles are restored to their original cream & grey colour every time. We have always been pleased, that's why we call them again, and again, and again to come into our home and undo a year's worth of ick and mess, and they do it with professionalism and attention to detail that is sorely lacking from folks today. Over the years the folks doing the work at Burke have changed, but everyone over the years has been excellent. Stephen (or maybe Steven? Apologies, I asked his name but didn't ask how it was spelled) was our technician yesterday. He was FANTASTIC. He's actually the reason I felt a sense of shame at our oversight for not reviewing Burke sooner. He was delightful to work with; an extremely hard worker who was here from 8:30 am to after 7pm, making sure everything was done, and done well. The extended hours were due to one of his nozzles breaking - he worked diligently all day - we were so impressed at his work ethic - but to address the nozzle issue, he left, went back to the shop to get another nozzle, came right back, and went right back to work. He could have easily asked to come back and finish another day since it was past quitting time, but he stayed late and did everything, paying attention to the details, working on stains until they came up, doing everything on the work order & completing it better than we could have imagined. We just can't say enough good things about Burke Carpet Cleaning, and technician Stephen, in particular. I'm embarrassed that after all these repeat business transactions that we waited so long to give public kudos where they were definitely due. We are more than happy to sing Burke Carpet Cleaning's praises, with special kudos to technician Stephen. His excellent work ethic and attention to detail were the highlight of our experience.
