This is why I yelp. When I need help, Yelp is there. We're in Cozumel, which is an Island off the coast from Cancun and Tulum. There are daily ferry crossings. They happen at predetermined times and it's critical to be there early in order to get on the ferry. We got to the ferry landing at 6:15pm for the 8:00pm crossing only to find out that ferry service has been suspended due to high winds and rough seas. There are two options Stay in the ferry line as the car is already registered to cross Or Leave and chance trying to get across the next day behind how ever many people decide to show up. The group decided to stay and not risk losing our spot. About three and half hours in our stomachs are growling. There's no Uber on the island and we are car locked meaning we can't back up or get out of line Here's the beauty of Yelp Search restaurants in current location Filter to open now Filter to delivery For us, That's Amore Pizzeria Cozumel was the only choice The phone number auto populated and my dear wife made the call and explained the situation The pizzas arrived in 20 mins and we're hot Neapolitan thin crust. Two cheese and on Veggie. Hot and Tasty and staved off from raiding the vendor machine from packages of sweets and cakes Thanks to That's Amore and thanks to Yelp.

The best pizza ever! I never would have thought to put honey on pizza but their spicy honey takes it over the top.

If you're a small party, the bar is a great option, but the back patio is lovely, too. Service is prompt, friendly, and attentive. Ask for a wine recommendation if you're up for something new. I did. With beautiful trees growing through the floor to the ceiling, the gorgeous lights that twinkle and bring romance to the space, it is all perfect. The staff! Wow! We never felt rushed but always were attended to. The food came with the perfect attention to detail and timing. At no point did I feel rushed or a burden to anyone. What an amazing feeling. Now the food! I am from a very prominent Italian food area and I was very impressed with that selections. The lasagna was stunning, the carbonara needed nothing and gave you that sweet hug from the inside you dream of. I got the ravioli with butternut squash and ricotta. I was stunned. It has been over a week since I had it and I still dream about it at night. What a hidden gem!

We were looking for a place and as I was checking reviews, I noted that La Terraza opened in place of Primas now, so we decided to give it a try. We were greeted and seated by the owner. Service was excellent. We ordered Beers while looking over the extensive Italian menu. Much of the menu items were the same as Primas, which leads me to believe different owner, same Chef? We started off with the Blue Cheese Salad, then ordered the Coconut Shrimp, Chicken Picatta, Shrimp appetizer, and the Lobster Pasta. The food was OK, portions were big. The salad was overdressed, Lobster in the pasta was bland and overcooked. The pesto on my toast for the shrimp appetizer tasted old and looked brown. The Coconut Shrimp and Chicken were good though. Atmosphere: very nice, roof top dining, Service: excellent, Food: OK

Although Yelp still shows it being open and the last look on yelp shows "Opens in 20 minutes." Couldn't possibly be. Im sure Cozumel is having some tough times due to the covid-19 issues. La Terraza was a favorite in Cozumel, that's for sure. The first time I went there, many many years ago, it was called Prima. Prima closed down and moved to the top of another building but it didn't last long there. Then La Terraza opened back up where Prima used to be. The same great food as before and it seemed to be doing ok. The reputation brought people back there time after time. I know it did me too. So if you happen to get on the island and are expecting to go here for dinner, at least now anyway, plan on being disappointed, because it's no longer open and be prepared to go elsewhere. Really too bad. Ed and Shannon (the owners) were pretty nice people.

My mother asks if we could cancel (we're starving waited long enough) and pay for the water bottle only. Owners show up aggressively insisting we stay as our food is ready to serve. Look at the food I ordered from their kitchen whole fish was not fried as asked just BONES. We walk out, waiter chases us down the street (almost 5 miles) to get the money for the water (after he said we don't have to pay after my mother offered to pay for it) then comes the owners in their scooter. Turns into an HOUR long dispute. They begin recording us, taunting us all the way down to the ferry entrance, called us the worst possible names, the husband PUSHED MY MOTHER twice and SPIT ON ME!!! He raised his hands up at me several times as if he was going to hit me! DISGUSTING, TRASH, UNEDUCATED, UNPROFESSIONAL corrupted police got involved they took their side even said we are required to pay for the food even if we didn't eat it threatened to pay up or my mother could spend 36 hours in jail! Longest review I've ever done be careful where you go to anywhere in MX!
