The salad had light sweetness from the beets and the tart softness of the crumbled goat cheese was complemented by the crunch of the chayote. The pizza was loaded with chunks of lionfish, with thin ribbons of mild chilis and a scattering of capers to add contrast and pops of brininess. The drink wasn't spicy, so I asked if they could make it a bit hotter. They added more Tajín. Fine. Not what I meant, but not worth arguing about. The real issue came with the bill. I was charged nearly 600 pesos for the mezcalitas. When I asked why, I was told that because I requested extra spice, they charged me as if I had ordered another drink. Meanwhile, their margaritas are listed at 119 pesos. Charging hundreds of extra pesos because a customer asks for a little more spice is absurd. The food was mediocre, the restaurant smelled like sewage inside, and the server had already added himself a 15% tip. When I declined the automatic gratuity, he was clearly unhappy about it. I still left 10%. After two visits involving questionable charges, disappointing food, and poor service, we won't be returning.

But at 60 pesos ($3.50ish a beer, depending on exchange) you cant go wrong! When I am back in the area, I will definitely stop by for more beer and try out their food.
