Order of cannolis
Marie D.

These 3 stars are for the food. I'd like to give another half star, but I can't. The service was very good, atmosphere lovely, and menu varied. We started with Caesar and one other salads, which surprised our local companions with how much smaller the portion sizes were compared to previous visits. It was also not made table side as they had experienced before. Our friends thought they would share one salad, but wound up ordering a second due to the "new" size. They were happy with lasagna and cannelloni they had tried before. I felt my ravioli was fine but missing something, flavor-wise. For dessert, one of us enjoyed a brownie with ice cream, one cheesecake and one cannolis The cannolis were filled with what seemed to be unsweetened filling, a surprise to us. They also were not as crispy as I would have liked. The cheesecake had a nice cream cheese flavor, but the bottom crust seemed too moist, and would have been better if it were firmer and drier. It had a nice nutty flavor. The house red wine was acceptable and the Tanqueray and tonic made tableside.

Size of extra large "18" inch pizza. Margarita pizza. 10 cherry tomatoes.

Be warned XLG is size of Box. Not size of pizza 18 inch box 15 inch pizza inside. Good pizza but over priced and the size advertised is for the box not the pizza.

Outstanding Italian in fabulous Cozumel. Service was great and food was incredible. Six of us shared several meals, chicken Parmesan, lobster ravioli, spaghetti with meatballs, grilled lobster, and fresh fish. Tastebuds were dancing. Francesco, the owner, came to us and shared a wonderful story of his life. Fascinating! This restaurant will be a staple for us each time we come to Cozumel.

As long as we've been coming to Cozumel for the past 20+ years, we've been to Sorrisi once, maybe 18 yrs ago. Don't know why it fell off the radar, but I'm glad I revived it for us, even twice this trip. The owner as sweet as can be, greeted us with open arms. We ordered cocktails while looking over the extensive menu. BTW they make excellent Margaritas. During our 2 visits, we ordered the Lobster Bisque, Beef Carpaccio, Eggplant Parmesan, Shrimp w/Spicy Tomato Sauce on Spinach Fettuccine, Chicken Scallopini w/Lemon Sauce, Chicken Scallopini Piccata, Lobster Ravioli, Pepperoni Pizza and an Eggplant Pizza. All the dishes were excellent, perfectly cooked, fresh and hot and tasted fabulous. Atmosphere: upscale inside/airconditioned, Food: excellent, Service: excellent

The food is outstanding Italian with seafood options. The ambiance is upscale yet friendly and the service is excellent! We came back five nights in a row to experience various entrees.

Spinach ravioli with sage and brown butter

All I can say is WOW!! One of the best dinners I have ever had! So well worth the splurge! We got the appetizer for 4 people and that alone could have been dinner. The portions are huge so be hungry or share plates. I am vegetarian and my friends and husband are not, there are many wonderful options for all! I had the ravioli with spinach and sage brown butter sauce. My husband and my friend got veal parmesan, our other friend had ribeye. The ribeye plate was insane! They cover it in pizza dough and bake it then cut the top off and that was his bread. See the pics! It was really cool!

Chicken Cordon Bleu

A little off the beaten path. The service was definitely on point, waiters were very accommodating. Food and atmosphere were excellent!

I had a scallop risotto and we ordered fish carpaccio and garlic bread for the table. The carpaccio was stunning and absolutely delicious. It was easily one of the best I've ever had. The fish simply melts in your mouth. The garlic bread was also incredibly unique and very tasty! I loved my main: scallops were tender and cooked perfectly. The prosciutto wrap was a nice touch! Risotto was cooked well and delicious. We ate dinner here and were able to catch a gorgeous sunset over the water, so definitely a plus! The ambiance is social and fun, but could easily be a date night as well. Our servers went above and beyond for us despite how busy it was. They also take card and Apple Pay, which made closing out really easy. Overall, this was a highlight of our time in Cozumel and I'd definitely return again.

The lighting and fresh breeze made the ambience magical. Our waitstaff was excellent, more typical of what one finds in Europe, where being a waiter can be a career choice instead of just something to do while going to school, as it can be in the U.S. The food was divine. We started off with a complimentary glass of peach wine and bruschetta (which was perfection), followed by an appetizer of mozzarella and Parma ham. Different from what we typically get in Italy as the mozzarella seemed grilled, but it was delicious nonetheless! Our party had the filet mignon, a pasta dish with bolognese sauce, the lion fish, and the bacon-wrapped shrimp. All but one in our party loved their dishes and the one complaint was from the person who loved the taste of their pasta but thought that they got too much of it. We ended with trying three of the desserts: the freshly-baked chocolate cake (meaning you give the order and they bake it...it takes 25 minutes to come out), which was warm and delicious, paired with an optional scoop of vanilla ice cream, the fruit flambé (exquisite), and the ginger creme brûlée. This last dessert was the one item none of us cared for much, but perhaps if one is a fan of ginger it might hit the spot. We loved this place so much and will definitely return before our vacation ends!

We were looking for a place and as I was checking reviews, I noted that La Terraza opened in place of Primas now, so we decided to give it a try. We were greeted and seated by the owner. Service was excellent. We ordered Beers while looking over the extensive Italian menu. Much of the menu items were the same as Primas, which leads me to believe different owner, same Chef? We started off with the Blue Cheese Salad, then ordered the Coconut Shrimp, Chicken Picatta, Shrimp appetizer, and the Lobster Pasta. The food was OK, portions were big. The salad was overdressed, Lobster in the pasta was bland and overcooked. The pesto on my toast for the shrimp appetizer tasted old and looked brown. The Coconut Shrimp and Chicken were good though. Atmosphere: very nice, roof top dining, Service: excellent, Food: OK

Although Yelp still shows it being open and the last look on yelp shows "Opens in 20 minutes." Couldn't possibly be. Im sure Cozumel is having some tough times due to the covid-19 issues. La Terraza was a favorite in Cozumel, that's for sure. The first time I went there, many many years ago, it was called Prima. Prima closed down and moved to the top of another building but it didn't last long there. Then La Terraza opened back up where Prima used to be. The same great food as before and it seemed to be doing ok. The reputation brought people back there time after time. I know it did me too. So if you happen to get on the island and are expecting to go here for dinner, at least now anyway, plan on being disappointed, because it's no longer open and be prepared to go elsewhere. Really too bad. Ed and Shannon (the owners) were pretty nice people.

My mother asks if we could cancel (we're starving waited long enough) and pay for the water bottle only. Owners show up aggressively insisting we stay as our food is ready to serve. Look at the food I ordered from their kitchen whole fish was not fried as asked just BONES. We walk out, waiter chases us down the street (almost 5 miles) to get the money for the water (after he said we don't have to pay after my mother offered to pay for it) then comes the owners in their scooter. Turns into an HOUR long dispute. They begin recording us, taunting us all the way down to the ferry entrance, called us the worst possible names, the husband PUSHED MY MOTHER twice and SPIT ON ME!!! He raised his hands up at me several times as if he was going to hit me! DISGUSTING, TRASH, UNEDUCATED, UNPROFESSIONAL corrupted police got involved they took their side even said we are required to pay for the food even if we didn't eat it threatened to pay up or my mother could spend 36 hours in jail!
