Frutti de mare
David C.

We've been to Cozumel 5 times in the last 4 years to dive and we haven't done an overnight trip without going to Guidos. Not only is it the best restaurant on the island but it's one of my favorite Italian restaurants in the world. We always recommend it to people that will be on Cozumel for any amount of time. This time around the north winds ruined most of our diving so we had to eat here twice just to feel like the trip was worth it. The lasagna is incredible. The noodles are perfect and the béchamel mixed with the ragu is so creamy and decadent without being too "cheesy". Everything is good but definitely start with a pitcher of sangria and finish with one of their awesome desserts.

Everything was amazing!!! The sangria, the service was prompt. The restaurant is gorgeous. We had the garlic bread, shrimp appetizer was delicious. Then the lasagna. Amazing. Saturday night at 7. Only waited 15 min

If you're in Cozumel, Guido's is a must. I went for dinner and it honestly hit all the right notes. I tried the Red Snapper with lemon and lime butter sauce. One of those dishes you remember after the trip. Service was spot on. Carlos took care of me and he was fantastic,, and just made the whole experience easy and enjoyable. The vibe here is great too. Relaxed, tropical, cozy... perfect for winding down after a day of diving but still feels like a special night out. Overall: amazing food, great people, and a place I'd come back to without question. Guido's is one of those gems that makes Cozumel feel even more special.

If you are looking for an upscale, delicious dining experience in Cozumel, you have to check out Guidos! From the wood fired pizzas to the cocktails and seafood, Guidos is the place! Loved the indoor/outdoor dining experience. Our service was phenomenal. So friendly and attentive. Located in downtown and directly across the street from the water, finish up your dinner with some sunset views!

Our group of 16 came here 2 nights in a row. Between all of us we had everything on the menu and can say there is no bad choice. Amazing staff and beautiful indoor/outdoor seating. Get the sticky toffee pudding.

Never disappoints! If you're spending any time in Cozumel, the seafood and Mexican flair is always a winner, but this is a nice change of pace that incorporates locally caught fish into an Italian inspired menu. Service as always is top-notch and super attentive. The vibe of this restaurant is very laid-back European no rush - the epitome of La Dolce Vita. I was sad to find out that the old guard cat (I think it had been here almost 20 years!!) has passed, but his great great grandson has taken over guard in the garden! This is a Cozumel tradition that can be missed. Check it out and you will not be disappointed. Highly recommend sitting outdoors in the garden area.

We were here on a group of 5 for dinner on a Sunday night. My daughter and boyfriend came earlier to grab a table, we arrive at 6pm, it's already a full house. Super busy. The ambiance is great, food is nice, tasty. Drink is expensive. Service is good but a bit slow, i think they are under staffed. The dessert is great!

This is the busiest restaurant in town, been there many times, great service, love the house made sangria. I've tried pizzas, pastas, octopus, tuna, their pasta is not great, soggy noodles, bland sauce, pizzas are just ok, octopus too chewy, tuna was good, but I did like their arugula salad!! I do like the service and atmosphere so I will keep going back there...

Garlic bread & croquettes.

We decided to return to guido's this year after two sub par experiences prior. Everything improved. The service was great, and the food was excellent. We started with the garlic bread and an appetizer that was a special. I cannot remember the exact name but they were croquettes. For an entree I had the wahoo medallions (also a special) and my husband had the sea scallops. The portions were large (we couldn't finish them), and the dishes themselves were great. We shared an espresso martini, and it was made properly. We will definitely return this trip.

The ambiance in the courtyard space was perfect. Even though there were a lot of people it didn't seem very loud. Service was wonderful, very attentive staff. Food was superb. Wine selections great, food was delicious, no room for dessert but how could I turn down the toffee cake with vanilla gelato. Glad I didn't :) would definitely go back!

Garlic bread cut in half

When the waiter asked if we want one or two garlic bread, I figure it must be small. Then when you see it, it's huge! See photo. And then after we cut it up, it's hallow! So turned out like a naan than anything but crispy and delicious. Must try! Frutti de Mare - the ingredients are fresh. Expect a little bit more al dente. Mushroom pasta in special menu - That was the best flavor pasta of the night. If they offer it again, must try. The pricing of this restaurant is like US restaurant pricing.

Such a beautiful hidden gem! You wouldn't tell from the outside that there is a beautiful hidden oasis in the restaurant, it's an indoor outdoor experience. The food is absolutely amazing and the drinks are well made! The staff is friendly and on top of it. Highly recommend the scallops!

The ambiance was great. You walked in and turned left into a world of candle lights, banyan tree, art and smells and flavors that fire up all your senses. This restaurant is located in downtown Cozumel. We ordered the garlic bread which is a must. It was more like a puffy flat bread. It went well with the black vinegar and oil. I got the fresh fish with herbs and it was delicious. I could taste the freshness of basil, garlic and onion. Ask for their house-made hot sauce. It's crushed jalapeños and to die for. My partner got the chicken picante and the chicken was cooked perfectly: the skin was crispy and the meat juicy. The service was excellent. Our servers were friendly, knowledgeable and happy to assist. We got the chocolate mousse. I thought it was chocolate mousse cake. It was just chocolate mousse: a good quality one nonetheless. I highly recommend this place.

FINALLY!!!!! Caesar salad.!!!!!!!

We were looking for a place and as I was checking reviews, I noted that La Terraza opened in place of Primas now, so we decided to give it a try. We were greeted and seated by the owner. Service was excellent. We ordered Beers while looking over the extensive Italian menu. Much of the menu items were the same as Primas, which leads me to believe different owner, same Chef? We started off with the Blue Cheese Salad, then ordered the Coconut Shrimp, Chicken Picatta, Shrimp appetizer, and the Lobster Pasta. The food was OK, portions were big. The salad was overdressed, Lobster in the pasta was bland and overcooked. The pesto on my toast for the shrimp appetizer tasted old and looked brown. The Coconut Shrimp and Chicken were good though. Atmosphere: very nice, roof top dining, Service: excellent, Food: OK

Although Yelp still shows it being open and the last look on yelp shows "Opens in 20 minutes." Couldn't possibly be. Im sure Cozumel is having some tough times due to the covid-19 issues. La Terraza was a favorite in Cozumel, that's for sure. The first time I went there, many many years ago, it was called Prima. Prima closed down and moved to the top of another building but it didn't last long there. Then La Terraza opened back up where Prima used to be. The same great food as before and it seemed to be doing ok. The reputation brought people back there time after time. I know it did me too. So if you happen to get on the island and are expecting to go here for dinner, at least now anyway, plan on being disappointed, because it's no longer open and be prepared to go elsewhere. Really too bad. Ed and Shannon (the owners) were pretty nice people.

My mother asks if we could cancel (we're starving waited long enough) and pay for the water bottle only. Owners show up aggressively insisting we stay as our food is ready to serve. Look at the food I ordered from their kitchen whole fish was not fried as asked just BONES. We walk out, waiter chases us down the street (almost 5 miles) to get the money for the water (after he said we don't have to pay after my mother offered to pay for it) then comes the owners in their scooter. Turns into an HOUR long dispute. They begin recording us, taunting us all the way down to the ferry entrance, called us the worst possible names, the husband PUSHED MY MOTHER twice and SPIT ON ME!!! He raised his hands up at me several times as if he was going to hit me!
