Tired of tacos? Need a break from burritos, quesadillas, or gringas? Then definitely hit Guido's. It's not the cheapest joint on Cozumel, but it's one of the best. The caprese with Oaxaca cheese is worth checking out. The pesto is great. Simultaneously smooth and also has a nice bite. The squid ink linguini is a wonderful... and don't sleep on dessert. If you're a small party, the bar is a great option, but the back patio is lovely, too. Service is prompt, friendly, and attentive. Ask for a wine recommendation if you're up for something new. I did. I'd never have picked the recommendation... and I learned something new. Maybe you will, too.
The food was great. The service was great. The dining area was really cool. There is a water well in the floor which is pretty unique. Clean establishment. Very similar to establishments we might dine at in the states. The first night we went, there was a crowd at the front door that seemed a little irritated to be waiting so we decided to come back the next day. Having to wait for a table can mean it' s a good restaurant but I had my little kids with me so it was best to try again the next night. The following day we arrived early around 5pm and got right in. There is a cat that lounges on the patio. The cat is not friendly. I don't mind either way. I do have curious kids and they had to learn for themselves that the cat wanted to be left alone. The staff did say "careful" but my kids did not listen and got swatted a couple times. The only weird part is that the cat was taking a seat at the table next to us and the servers did not move the cat for a guest to sit there. So that patron had to move the cat and she got swatted too. Maybe even the staff is scared of the cat. lol. We will definitely return.
We've been to Cozumel 5 times in the last 4 years to dive and we haven't done an overnight trip without going to Guidos. Not only is it the best restaurant on the island but it's one of my favorite Italian restaurants in the world. We always recommend it to people that will be on Cozumel for any amount of time. This time around the north winds ruined most of our diving so we had to eat here twice just to feel like the trip was worth it. The lasagna is incredible. The noodles are perfect and the béchamel mixed with the ragu is so creamy and decadent without being too "cheesy". Everything is good but definitely start with a pitcher of sangria and finish with one of their awesome desserts.

One of those dishes you remember after the trip. Service was spot on. Carlos took care of me and he was fantastic,, and just made the whole experience easy and enjoyable. The vibe here is great too. Relaxed, tropical, cozy... perfect for winding down after a day of diving but still feels like a special night out. Overall: amazing food, great people, and a place I'd come back to without question. Guido's is one of those gems that makes Cozumel feel even more special.
If you are looking for an upscale, delicious dining experience in Cozumel, you have to check out Guidos! From the wood fired pizzas to the cocktails and seafood, Guidos is the place! Loved the indoor/outdoor dining experience. Our service was phenomenal. So friendly and attentive. Located in downtown and directly across the street from the water, finish up your dinner with some sunset views!

Never disappoints! If you're spending any time in Cozumel, the seafood and Mexican flair is always a winner, but this is a nice change of pace that incorporates locally caught fish into an Italian inspired menu. Service as always is top-notch and super attentive. The vibe of this restaurant is very laid-back European no rush - the epitome of La Dolce Vita. I was sad to find out that the old guard cat (I think it had been here almost 20 years!!) has passed, but his great great grandson has taken over guard in the garden! This is a Cozumel tradition that can be missed. Check it out and you will not be disappointed. Highly recommend sitting outdoors in the garden area.
Our group of 16 came here 2 nights in a row. Between all of us we had everything on the menu and can say there is no bad choice. Amazing staff and beautiful indoor/outdoor seating. Get the sticky toffee pudding.
We were here on a group of 5 for dinner on a Sunday night. My daughter and boyfriend came earlier to grab a table, we arrive at 6pm, it's already a full house. Super busy. The ambiance is great, food is nice, tasty. Drink is expensive. Service is good but a bit slow, i think they are under staffed. The dessert is great!
This is the busiest restaurant in town, been there many times, great service, love the house made sangria. I've tried pizzas, pastas, octopus, tuna, their pasta is not great, soggy noodles, bland sauce, pizzas are just ok, octopus too chewy, tuna was good, but I did like their arugula salad!! I do like the service and atmosphere so I will keep going back there...
When the waiter asked if we want one or two garlic bread, I figure it must be small. Then when you see it, it's huge! See photo. And then after we cut it up, it's hallow! So turned out like a naan than anything but crispy and delicious. Must try! Frutti de Mare - the ingredients are fresh. Expect a little bit more al dente. Mushroom pasta in special menu - That was the best flavor pasta of the night. If they offer it again, must try. The pricing of this restaurant is like US restaurant pricing.
We decided to return to guido's this year after two sub par experiences prior. Everything improved. The service was great, and the food was excellent. We started with the garlic bread and an appetizer that was a special. I cannot remember the exact name but they were croquettes. For an entree I had the wahoo medallions (also a special) and my husband had the sea scallops. The portions were large (we couldn't finish them), and the dishes themselves were great. We shared an espresso martini, and it was made properly. We will definitely return this trip.
The ambiance in the courtyard space was perfect. Even though there were a lot of people it didn't seem very loud. Service was wonderful, very attentive staff. Food was superb. Wine selections great, food was delicious, no room for dessert but how could I turn down the toffee cake with vanilla gelato. Glad I didn't :) would definitely go back!

Looooved guido's!! It was so hard to find good food at Cozumel. I'm picky but I loved everything we ordered from there. Ceasar was such a great server, gave great recommendations. The lasagna lives up to the hype! we ate there two night in a row from how disappointing other places were. Both outside and indoor are so aesthetically pleasing. read more
Did not expect to find one of the best Italian restaurants on Cozumel, but this was well worth the visit! I had a scallop risotto and we ordered fish carpaccio and garlic bread for the table. The carpaccio was stunning and absolutely delicious. It was easily one of the best I've ever had. The fish simply melts in your mouth. The garlic bread was also incredibly unique and very tasty! I loved my main: scallops were tender and cooked perfectly. The prosciutto wrap was a nice touch! Risotto was cooked well and delicious. We ate dinner here and were able to catch a gorgeous sunset over the water, so definitely a plus! The ambiance is social and fun, but could easily be a date night as well. Our servers went above and beyond for us despite how busy it was. They also take card and Apple Pay, which made closing out really easy. Overall, this was a highlight of our time in Cozumel and I'd definitely return again. read more

The food was amazing. The service is always good. The ambience is beautiful. We love sitting on the patio. I've been going here for 13 years. I love the lasagna. If you ever get the chance to try the French onion soup, get it! Over the years I've tried all kinds of food and it is all really good. I even bought my daughter a gift certificate to here for her honeymoon. This place is loved by our entire family. read more

We were here on a group of 5 for dinner on a Sunday night. My daughter and boyfriend came earlier to grab a table, we arrive at 6pm, it's already a full house. Super busy. The ambiance was great. You walked in and turned left into a world of candle lights, banyan tree, art and smells and flavors that fire up all your senses. This restaurant is located in downtown Cozumel. We ordered the garlic bread which is a must. It was more like a puffy flat bread. It went well with the black vinegar and oil. I got the fresh fish with herbs and it was delicious. I could taste the freshness of basil, garlic and onion. Ask for their house-made hot sauce. It's crushed jalapeños and to die for. My partner got the chicken picante and the chicken was cooked perfectly: the skin was crispy and the meat juicy. The service was excellent. Our servers were friendly, knowledgeable and happy to assist. We got the chocolate mousse. I thought it was chocolate mousse cake. It was just chocolate mousse: a good quality one nonetheless. I highly recommend this place. read more

Such a beautiful hidden gem! You wouldn't tell from the outside that there is a beautiful hidden oasis in the restaurant, it's an indoor outdoor experience. The food is absolutely amazing and the drinks are well made! The staff is friendly and on top of it. Highly recommend the scallops! read more
I had reservations of coming to an Italian restaurant in Mexico, but I heard great things so I wanted to give it a shot - and I am very happy I did. The style is more Italian with a Mexican flare. I ordered the ensalada verde (3.5/5), the garlic bread/pita (5/5) and the calamari (5/5). Then for dessert I got the specialty lemon pie (4/5). If I came back I would 100% get the garlic and calamari - the pepper / olive oil that the calamari comes in is heaven (I scooped it with the amazing garlic bread). The service was nice and attentive. It had a mix of locals and mostly tourists. I would definitely recommend this place for a nice dinner. read more

One of our favorites! This place is lovely, a little expensive but great atmosphere,food and service. We came here Thursday evening for dinner. It was great. We were seated right away. This place has a beautiful patio courtyard as you pass through the main entrance and indoor area. We had a pitcher of sangria and the special appetizer fish tacos to start. The fish tacos were delicious, so flavorful and rich. We shared the goat cheese and pecan salad next. It was delicious, both tangy and sweet. For dinner we had the seafood pasta and the catch of the day mahi-mahi. Both were delicious, served piping hot. They are generous portions so we took about 1/2 of each to go. The service is always checking on you and makes sure you have everything you need at all times. They continually bring ice for water and sangria. read more

Amazing restaurant. So unexpected frankly. Yes they have a great lasagna but this is sooo much more. The integration of local caught seafood and pastas is outstanding. Started with an incredible carpaccio of local fish with an olive oil tapenade topping and perfectly pickled veggies. Also got the beet salad, the best we've ever had. For mains we had the ravioli stuffed with carmelized onions & sweet potato and ricotta topped with smoked almonds. Unique and delicious. I had the Frutti de Mare a selection of perfectly cooked scallops, octopus and shrimp over black squid ink pasta and the sauce was fantastic. Finished with the Cozumel Key Lime pie for her and a Havana 7yr rum for me. Double of course. We will be making this one of our regulars. read more

Oh how we LOVE Guido's! My fiancé and I visited Guido's during our most recent trip to Cozumel. It was by far our favorite meal on the island! The staff were kind, the food was to die for, and the drinks were tasty! We definitely recommend visiting on your next trip to Cozumel! read more

Guido's is located on the main street in Cozumel. I'd have to say I wasn't expecting to any Italian cuisine while here but, wow, We started off our experience when a couple seated outside told us this was their favorite restaurant in Cozumel. They just have spotted the skepticism on my face and they quickly added that they weren't getting any kickbacks and had been there multiple times over the years. Alright I'll take it! The restaurant has a lovely woodland vibe and lots of star lights hanging from the greenery above. For starters: house sangria, garlic bread covered in butter and herbs, and caprese salad (pesto, Oaxaca cheese, tomato, and basil). As the great philosopher Guy Fieri once said, "Flavortown!" For my main course I got the linguini with black truffle sauce and portobello mushrooms, my companion got the lasagna. As someone who comes from the NY/NJ area with an idea of what qualifies as good Italian cuisine, this definitely made the cut and then some. Finished the night with homemade carrot cake with ice cream and coffee which was exactly as good as it sounds. Yup, that couple was right. Highly recommended if you're ever in Cozumel read more
