    We escaped!

I cannot say enough good about That Escape Place! We have done two rooms in the last couple of weeks and can't wait for them to open the third. These are well thought out, complex riddles to solve and you are only given hints if you absolutely need them. The customer service is second to none. I highly suggest you give them a try, and get a gift card on your way out the door for 20% off your next visit, you can't beat that!

I spent significant time researching local "escape rooms" in The Woodlands / Spring area. This one seemed to have the best and most authentic 5 star reviews. This was important to me as we planned our Silver (25th) Anniversary! Turned out to be the BEST choice ever, lol! Hubby and I arrived as a team of four with our daughter and son-in-law. We had chosen "Raiders Of The Lost ART" as our puzzle room. We were greeted by a friendly staff member and were escorted to a very comfy waiting room to wait while he "re-set" our requested room. It was quickly obvious to us all that there were two puzzles to solve while we waited, so we quickly went to work... solving one puzzle in less than 30 seconds (the other in less than 2 minutes) and were rewarded with abundant candy in both! The fun began! While in our puzzle room, we were quickly drawn in to the many clues and worked separately, then together, then in pairs and so on. It wasn't long until we gained access to an adjacent room filled with even MORE exciting clues! We actually solved our puzzle room with 2:59 seconds to spare! Felt so proud of ourselves! I HIGHLY recommend That Escape Room for a truly exciting adventure for couples, families and groups. You will have a blast!

my friends, family and I all went here last night & it was such an awesome experience!! this was all of ours first time ever doing an escape room or anything like that so none of us were really sure what to expect. the hints and riddles are so good and the whole set is really thought out and detailed. the service here was also amazing, everyone was so kind and helpful & had big genuine smiles on their faces, you can tell they truly enjoy and have fun working here which is awesome I love it. before we came, when I was reading through the reviews to this place i was honestly thinking "whaat no way all these people are giving perfect reviews and so happy after leaving" but now i see it. 10/10 5 stars i do definitely recommend, I cannot wait to come back again with my amazing group to try a different room next time! (we went to "The Gate" , btw there is fog in this set and it smells/taste/consistency of unflavored and unscented vape smoke, which is kinda nauseating -but manageable- to me so beware to others who might feel the same lol)

We made it out with 2 minutes to spare!

We were looking for something fun and exciting to do on a Saturday night. There were six of us, we were kid free and had heard great things abt escape rooms. We picked this one based on other great reviews and the variety of rooms to choose from. They start you out in a "holding" room where you have some smaller, easier puzzles to solve. It took us a couple of tries but we eventually figured them out! Once we got into the room (you can bring your purses/phones wth you, it doesn't really help) They give you clues to help you start off. There are cameras in the room and you can ask for help/hints if you get stuck. We got down to the 2 minute mark before we managed to "escape!" They take your picture at the end whether you make it out or not. Lots of thinking outside the box and things popping open but also good fun too!

    Five minutes to spare!

My wife and I just got done doing the Raiders of the Lost Art, and it was AWESOME! First date night for us in a long time and boy we kicked it back in to action with a bang. The prices would have been perfect if we didn't purchase the upgrade since there was only the two of us. When we arrived, we were greeted very enthusiasticly by a worker from control. Given a brief background on some of the rules and then let loose into the scenario. Starts right away and it was seriously awesome. We finished with just over five minutes to spare and we just loved it, and you will too. If you're wondering where to go, you've already found it! The escape place, I HIGHLY recommend it.

    Group finished in 51 mins!

Just had an awesome time here! Very cheap and even cheaper when purchased through groupon. If you are a new member to groupon you can get it for as low as $11/person just search for a new member discount code. You can tell this is a very family oriented business. Everyone was extremely friendly and very helpful. For a group of 6-8 people this was definitely challenging. We did complete the task in about 51 mins. One suggestion I would have is to have a scoreboard of the top 5 times. I would definitely come back again and was told they might be adding a new type of room.

This is my third escape game escapade. I've been to Austins Escape game twice and Entrap game in Omaha. While I consider Austins Escape Game the most polished well rounded setting, this set up was really good as well. This was very well done with a unique unlocking challenge I have not seen in my past 4 outings! When I was deciding on a new escape game company, I would look for reviews that compare one escape business to another and this review should serve as just that. The raiders of the lost art theme was brilliant. I reserved an entire room for 8 and we had 13 mins to spare (we got an extra 5 mins for checking in on fb!). I liked the use of high tech and professional devices! The clues and hints are carefully given and not just handed out. Check this place out!

With titles like Batman, Scooby Doo, pirates, and more, it's easy to find a theme that appeals to you. You have to come with some aptitude (and maybe a little knowledge of the genre) and go in with a (hopefully) cohesive group of people. It's challenging enough to really make you work your noggin to solve riddles and piece together puzzles. You'll have to cooperate with your teammates but work quickly to beat the clock... The experience delivers excitement without turning up the anxiety too much. Hands-on and very immersive! The rooms have some pretty cool tech, like secret compartments and special effects. The challenges are cleverly written, and the rooms are designed to showcase the grand scheme. Now, enter the "Game Masters" - onsite workers who do a few things behind the scenes (like trigger events and offer clues/help as leniency, if you get too stumped). Our group of 8 (adults and a couple of kiddos) played the Batman Escape game on regular mode, and we ALL enjoyed it tremendously!!! We racked our brains, we cheered, we panicked (only a little), we laughed (a lot)... and we won (phew, haha!). Really impressed by how creative and well-executed the game was. Trent was such a friendly & helpful coordinator, and Rayne came in clutch as our awesome Game Master! Highly recommend doing an escape room as a unique group activity, and this place handles the crowd and delivers the experience very well! Definitely coming back again, for another game!!!

My husband and I booked the 2 hour experience. It seems like a lot of time, but once you play, it feels like it's not enough! The rooms truly are best played with 2-4 players. There are some rooms where 2 people is nearly impossible to get a perfect score, and there are some rooms where people would just be standing around if you have more than 4 players. Your team will have a team leader who will wear a specific wristband that opens the rooms and allows you to view your score on a big screen in the hallways. If your team doesn't care about rankings and want to just play for fun, then you can go at your own pace or split up if possible, depending on the size of your team. For example, if you have a total of 6 people playing, you could be one team with 1 team captain. For scoring, it would be best to stick together. Or you can split into two teams and have two team captains. That way, your team could split up into teams of 2 and 4 or 3 and 3 depending on the game/room. If you do care about rankings, then stick with your team and try to solve as many rooms as possible and get the perfect score. The rooms are so different! It's a lot of fun. There is definitely something for every one and many rooms to solve. Within the 2 hours, my husband and I were not able to go through all the rooms. Man, after we were done, we wanted to play more! It was exhilarating because you are trying to get through as many rooms as you can and trying to get the best score. It's like we were on a game show. haha Some rooms are addicting to where you want to just play it over and over again, but if you care about your ranking, just move on! lol The rooms have a time limit, which helps you pace yourself and prevent people from hogging a room the entire time. It gives off a "minute-it to win-it" vibe. Running around and trying to find an available room is also fun in itself. It's like a labyrinth in there. There were some technical issues with some rooms. For example, there was a soccer room where one of the goals would not score at all, so that messed with our points. There was another room involving a subway where I seriously think several answers were not on the posters provided. However, it was still fun! The employees were all super nice! One of the employees even helped us play in one room because it was one of those rooms where it would have been impossible to get a good score with only 2 people. I would say this isn't exactly a "one and done" type place. If you play with different people, it will be a different experience. Certain rooms you can definitely memorize and just plug in the answers. However, there are other rooms that are sports and arcade style, so replaying it would still be fun. Furthermore, you may not finish all the rooms the first time and by the next time you come back, they may have added additional rooms/games. Also, since they track rankings, you could try to get a better score the next time you come. The price is sort of expensive, but I think it's worth it. I mean, it's not something I would do every weekend, but I can definitely see us coming back a few more times for special occasions. They do serve food inside the venue. They have a really cool little glass box outside of each room to put your drinks inside. Also, they have free lockers to put in your purse and other valuables if you wish. There are also several cool photo opportunities. This place is just amazing. You have to just come and experience it yourself! Perhaps it's a bit cheaper because the inside is a bit rough/unfinished. I mean It's not dirty, unsafe, or disgusting - but you can tell that little investment is made to "upscale" things. Staff - the lady working the room ( I believe she's the owner) is super cool. We did the Avengers themed room and succeeded ( and it was not because of my skills). It was a lot of finding clues to open locks. I felt that maybe 80% of it was finding ways to open locks then use what was hidden to do something to move to the next step. Now, let's be honest, if we are the Avengers, I don't think we are going to look for clues to open locks. I sure there are more effective/efficient ways to open them:-). Same goes for a normal person, lock cutters anyone? Overall it was fun and we finished with about 5 minutes remaining. Think we were there for about an hour total.

But with mom out of town for the weekend, I was looking for stuff to do with my son, and it actually seemed like a pretty solid option. It was noted to be 12+ though, so I opted to not book in advance and just ask the people working here when I arrived, if it would be appropriate for him. They all universally said that it would probably be too challenging for a 6 year old. So we booked Paw Patrol instead. Walking in on a Saturday meant that we had an hour wait, which was no problem because we had plenty to do at the mall in the meantime. He absolutely loved it. He hasn't stopped talking about it in the 24 hours since we finished. It was definitely easy enough for him to figure out how to play, other than the 2nd to last game where you were supposed to herd ducks and fish into their body of water. Even I struggled with that game. But the rest of it was very manageable. It's not the cheapest way to spend an afternoon, but we will definitely be back to do this again in the future.
