Took my dog in for a FULL grooming, and somehow they thought that meant skipping her entire stomach and vaginal area. Seriously? That's basic hygiene -- not optional. When I picked her up, her coat looked okay at first, but once I got her home, I realized she was still dirty in the most sensitive areas. What exactly did I just pay for? Dylan at the front desk confirmed Sally did great and nothing was missed. I have never felt the need to double check their work. I have been taking Sally here for 3 years and quality has clearly gone down. I will never bring my dog back here, and if you actually care about your pet, you shouldn't either. A few days ago I asked for a dog grooming appointment for today and ended up at That Crazy Dog Lady at 16th St and Bell. It was Buttercups first time so I didn't know what to expect and 100% it went amazing! Meghan the groomer immediately picked her up despite Buttercup trying to get away, she held her and we talked and Buttercup just settled in. There's a lot of reviews stating that the owner is rude, while it is true the owner has a stronger personality (I wouldn't label her as rude), she and her workers do an AMAZING job with dog grooming. You are not spending time with the owner, your dog is and she creates a space where dogs aren't disrespected and gets that best cut. I have three dogs: a yorkie poo, medium poodle, and bernedoodle. And each time they come home with the most perfect grooming. 20/10 recommend Again, the owner does have a strong personality but there was a time where I walked in a few minutes early and she was still finishing up my poodle. She tends to get matted in the bum area and my dog would try to nip her but the owner was so patient with her and talked to her like a person. first & last time taking my dog here. overall the service wasn't fully preformed. my dogs ears were still very dirty, paws still cheesy and on top of that my dog got an ulcer. when i arrived the guy said the blueberry facial got on my his eye causing it to be red, when i arrived home and noticed that a lot of lint was inside his eyes, kinda makes me think they don't wash their towels after every use. She recently went so far as posting on Facebook stating that if anyone had issues with how she does business they could have a say if they bought in with $500,000‍ I'd not said anything at this point, but frankly, she truly is crazy. I used to take my dog to one of the big name placed to get groomed and it was always a so-so experience. The last time I took her was horrible. They were understaffed, kept her there for 5 hours and she was still wet when she was given back to me, leading me to believe that she had been waiting in a kennel for the majority of that time. Today we tried the Crazy Dog Lady Pet Grooming and it was the complete opposite experience. They don't kennel your pet, unless they have to. My dogs appt was at 8 and she was finished by 10. I was happy to see her playing in the dog area when I arrived with a cute bow around her neck, feeling very cute!! My dog was relaxed and happy after she was finished! I would not recommend this place for employment ever! My daughter who is an amazing groomer was hired and never returned after the first day. My daughter called me crying while at work. I calmed her down and told her to finish if it was that bad do not return. My daughter is the sweetest kindest person you will ever meet. Meghan Bertchie is the worst. I spoke with her and tried to be as professional as I could about my daughters pay check. Why did I contact her? Meghan was rude, condescending, and abusive with my daughter. So I stepped in. I have not used this person's service. I work at an apartment community where a resident started offering in home services to residents. I told our she couldn't operate a business, and she said it would be occasional, which is what it has been. The residents were thrilled, and no one has complained. Imagine my surprise when we got a code violation. That Crazy Dog Lady, who does not live here, filed a complaint with the city. Citing noise and smells, and operating a business. I understand that same-day appointments are not always available, but asking never hurt anyone. Me asking was met with "you're joking right? After every visit he would seem somnolent and sleep all day. After going to PetSmart and others for grooming this resolved. This is serious and against the law. They do a wonderful job on the grooming, just make sure to get a fixed price. I have been going there for 2 years....The last 2 visits have gotten cost prohibitive. I will be going somewhere new. I have a 48 pound golden doodle (docile and gentle) and pricing originally started off at $90 then in June it went up to $120... because they said she was bad (?) and last week it was $150. I am usually charged 60-65 dollars but now because I haven't been there in a while and "his behavior" they want to charge me 85 dollars after his cut was finished. After I expressed I don't usually get charged for those things and I don't have 85 dollars. The lady states "oh she doesn't have 85 dollars" and when I am leaving she says "see you next year". I brought in my babies today for their appointment. I even mentioned are you alone today? I got back a snapped remark "NO, someone's in the back"! I said bye to my babies and she rushed them back! I figured I have 2 babies...2 appointments so 2 hours should be good! Normally she rushes through and gets them done within an hour! I had mentioned I had just moved to Tucson and couldn't find a groomer that I liked out that way! So I drove from Tucson to Glendale to bring my babies in! Normally like I said within the hour she would be done but knowing she puts my girl in a cage that has anxiety when caged in. I figured it's been 2 hours she should be done.... Umm no wishful thinking! Only one baby was done and the other one was separated from each other! I'm like WTH! So I walked in and she says that's $100 for both what she would charge roughly for both $55 for each. So I'm thinking ok I'll pay she will do my other dog! Nope I got snapped on and scolded like a child telling me if I was going to come in at 12 I should had told her and now my dog is excited to see me and she didn't want to hurt him!! Again I was like WTF?! It's been 2 hours with appointments and your not done?! Then u have the nerve to tell me off!! If it was free and I lived around the corner I wouldn't be this upset! But lady yea Krazy Ass Lady you booked too many dogs and now u want to rush me out!! My babies services used to be fantastic not half assed like u did today!! If by the tone of the response we got on a text message is how they do dog grooming, then there is no part of me that wants to do business with this owner. after driving by, and seeing a sign that it was by appointment only and that it was closed (10:30am ish on a Tuesday) we texted a very friendly request to find out if they would be available since it seems they are by appointment only... Here is literally the response.... "Shop is closed until Saturday" "Meghan is out til tuesday" Not even a thank-you for us saying that they did a great job last time even though they were in a different location. what is mind-blowing to me, that in any service-related industry the first part of that you have to remember is SERVICE! There is no way that I'm going to trust my two amazing dogs to someone whoever is on the other end of that phone with the response that I got. I can't even imagine that the first available appointment is over a week out simply because the shop is closed for the entire week, that does not sound professional to me at all and if you're going to make this your full-time gig I would imagine that somewhere it would be full-time and not a hobby. We were dog sitting for a Friend and we were asked to take his dog to the Groomers while they were away. Upon arrival we had asked to speak with the Owner/Groomer since the receptionist said she had only worked there 2 Days and we wanted to discuss a health concern we had with our friend's dog. After watching us wait to to speak to her for about ten minutes, the Owner just yelled from the back that she was too busy to speak with us and she was going to keep doing what she was doing. Had it been our dogs, I would of cancelled the appointment on the spot and walked out. After receiving a text and a voicemail, 15 minutes later, we headed over to pick up our friend's dog. On the drive to the shop we got another call where the Owner who then lectured us for not immediately responding to her communications. Wow, coming from the Owner who 90 minutes earlier, refused to speak to us, that was Bold. 5 minutes later (@ 2:43 PM) we were at her establishment and she wouldn't come to the front to speak to us or look in the eye. I guess by using the word "Crazy" in the title of her business she believes that gives her permission to treat her customers like crap, but in our case she made a mistake.
