We just moved here to Peoria from Texas and we have a Giant Schnauzer who requires a very good groomer and Samantha was amazing! I'm updating my review based on current experience. They did a great job in January which prompted me to give a high review. I've been very patient with a mechanical issue they had, a week ago and they rescheduled for today for 8:30am, it's now over an hour later and they have not responded to my text message, or given me a call, very disappointed and frustrated. As a business, giving me a courtesy call or text for whatever reason is not asking much. This seems to be a common issue with mobile groomers, they don't respond to say anything whether they are not excepting new clients or give me a call or message. I suppose common courtesy is not important. read more

I had high expectations and wasn't very happy with the results. We asked for a certain trimming on both dogs. Leaving the first dog with a bald spots and very short hair. Our second dog didn't revive trimming on the face or sanitary area. Lastly, they were 3 hours late and took only 1 hour for two dogs. read more

This was my first time using this groomer, I told them the breed and weight of my dog and what I wanted done, all pretty basic stuff. I did tell them I wanted his belly shaved and they said it would be an extra 20.00. They came out today and I again told the groomer what I wanted done. Now maybe my idea of a shaved belly is different from theirs . I was expecting to see no hair on his underside that is not the case. So I'm not sure what the extra twenty was for and to top it off , the trailer that they came out with was small and I guess when my dog was sitting down and trying to get up he was rubbing his hind leg on the mat and ended up busting open his elbow and bleeding. That is the first thing I saw when he walked into the house is an obvious bloody leg (elbow). The groomer did clean up the wound the best she could but it was still obvious that he was bleeding. read more

This is the very best grooming experience we've ever had! They have a doggie daycare there so instead of being put in a cage in between procedures, she gets to play. I've been taking my dog there since last summer and I just love them! I take my dog to daycare once a week there and she has so much fun! My puppy is usually a very shy girl but she warmed up to staff very quickly! I love when I walk in they all recognize her and are excited to see her. You can tell everyone that works there are dog people. She's always exhausted when I pick her up which is exactly what I need! I've used there grooming for her and they never disappoint! She smells great and they give her a bandana when she's all done! How cute is that? I even have used there boarding a couple of times. I've boarded her with the rover app in the past thinking she'd do better at a strangers place but she wouldn't eat. But at poshy paws she's comfortable there she gets to play all day and they don't nickel and dime everything (more play time, bigger room, dog bed, etc) which is awesome! They send me pictures of her while I'm away and I get a report card of how she does when I pick her up. And big plus she eats all her food! I'm so glad I found this place! I took my dog in for the first time today and I make sure to tell them not to cut his tail because we never cut Rocky's tail since we had him. Well they didn't care about that and Rocky's tail is 4 inches shorter and who ever groomed him I think they need to learn how to cut hair, he looks so chopped some short some long is not even. I'm more mad that I didn't notice when I picked him up because I was busy with my other puppy, and I even tip the person who did Rocky she doesn't deserve any of my money. I have to start out by saying that I have been coming to Poshy Paws for a long time and used to absolutely rave about it. This is no longer the case. I'm usually not harsh at all in reviews as I understand accidents happen but it's so hard. I got my dog groomed a little over a week ago. It was not his first time there. I'm not sure what happened but whoever groomed his cut his tail. Now, I didn't mind this nor was I made. Like I said, accidents happen. But it's the way they handled it that makes me mad. They called and told me the cut was small and minor and that they had bandaged it up. Fine! Thank you for telling me and bandaging it. I wasn't mad and as usual I picked him up, paid and left a tip. The cut was not minor nor was it not a big deal. They cut so deep into my dogs tail that his tendon! I have had to take him to the emergency vet and the cost alone for that has been $$$ and that's simply not okay. The vet even told me the cut is so bad we may have to amputate his tail which is going to cost even more. My fur baby has been in a cone, pain killers and antibiotics so the cut doesn't get infected and now he may need an expensive surgery to fix something Poshy Paws caused and the worst part is that they probably won't/don't have to take responsibility for this. When I drop my dogs off, I hope and also expect my fur babies to be taken care of and in good hands and unfortunately this was not the case. I may have to get his tail cut off and I no longer feel like I can trust the work of this grooming place with the safety of my pups. I know accidents happen but don't lie and say it was a minor cut when it wasn't. Take responsibility. My fur baby shouldn't have to be in pain due to his groomer. read more

if I could give zero stars, I would. All this place cares about is getting dogs in and out as quickly as possible so tha they can maximize their profits. We brought our dog here instead of taking her to Petsmart (like we usually do) and it was a huge mistake. When we handed them our dog, she was happy and excited to meet new people. When they gave her back, she was trembling and shaking! They completely shaved off her hair after we specifically told them we wanted to keep the hair long. They claimed she had too much matting but Petsmart always takes their time and gets the matting out without shaving off the hair. I don't think they even tried. When they gave her back, they go "oh it's like a fresh start. The best part is the tail." Is that a joke?? We couldn't even tell if it was the same dog. We could have done a better job at home. Not only did they shave her but the work is uneven. In some places you can see her literal skin. Goldendoodles NEED their hair, you are not supposed to shave them.
