Drunken noodles

Can't get Thai in Peoria so stopped on our way through. The service was excellent! Portion size good although I couldn't stop eating to have leftovers. Expansive menu! I read so much about the spice level, and I'm disappointed because I like spicy but went with medium just in case. Wish I would have went with medium like my husband. Will be back when in the area.

Food was super good & the service was wonderful! I only took off one star bc i feel like its kinda expensive but prices of everything are going up these days so i understand. we got the Red curry and the chicken Pad thai :) both were delicious

Outstanding always. The food, the service and the comfy booths are the best. Their pho will make everything better.

My husband describes this place as his favorite Thai restaurant in the whole world. He hasn't been to Thailand, but for a Thai restaurant in central Illinois, this place is for real. We've stopped at this place several times in our travels, and it always delivers. (They also have carry-out. Ha!) Most important consideration. When you're asked, "how spicy?" consider the chef is probably a native of Thailand. "5" is Thai spicy, as in melt your tongue spicy. "2" is American spicy, as in your nose will run but you can still enjoy the flavor. I ordered "3" once and it was eye-watering hot. Be careful. When we were here a couple years ago, they hadn't yet reopened to dining in, but I'm happy to say, you can eat inside now. The dining room is simple and clean. The service is efficient and super fast. We waited less than 3 minutes for our crab rangoons -- crispy and filled with spicy cream cheese. The spring rolls were also expertly made and very fresh. I deviated from my useful order of shrimp green curry to try the papaya salad (aka som tum). Think of it as the tastiest tomato and iceberg lettuce salad you've ever eaten. The shredded green papaya is not sweet--it reminded me of bean sprouts. It was served with hot white rice, which I found weird until I tried it. Definitely try it. You might like it, too. It cost $17.99, which seemed high but it was very fresh and flavorful. (There are lunch specials for $12.99 if you're looking for value.) We will, without a doubt, be back.

Delicious pad Thai, always reliable, good food with nice amount of heat. My favorite place in town to grab Thai food.

Best Thai food around, prices maybe one or two bucks over average for the area but it is worth it. Family business great people.

The environment is not that good. But all the dishes we ordered are not really bad. Really miss the glutinous rice and mango.

Have only tried the Pad Thai and Tom Yum Koong and both were excellent. Wait was a little long, but it was busy. Will return.

First of all, the quality and variety of the baked goods, as well as the hand made sammiches that…read moreemploy those baked goods are the bomb and probly worth the trip. I've had occasion to make it over to this large bakery/cafe just north of downtown C-U for lunch a couple times and never been disappointed. Granted the food (including a couple fantastic side salad options) isn't cheap, but everything is made properly with high quality ingredients and well worth the occasional splurge. Although we have only tried some samples, there's even a fancy coffee cafe within.5 Factor in that all the employees we've met (including the delivery people out in the Central IL grocery stores) have been pleasantly passionate about their products, and you start to understand how they've come to stand out in what seems like a fading industry. That said, it also seems like the shelves with high end grocery items like exotic olive oils, Momofuku noodles, hard to find jams and other condiments, have dwindled in the last year or two, likely due to tariff-based cost models, but you are still likely to find a new favorite 'something' just browsing while they craft your sammy. Even if it's just a 'cronut' or a loaf of that amazing olive ciabatta or sourdough, it is becoming a mandatory C-U stop for us.
