Pho, noodle stir fry

I came here late at night with my mom looking for some great food and this place delivered! The Pho here is top tier!!! If you get anything off this menu the Pho is a must. The service here is amazing and the food is so good we came back the next day!! The inside is very nice and great for dinner !

I tried a few dishes here, and overall, the food turned out pretty good. * Pineapple Fried Rice with Tofu (Medium Spice): Really tasty and well-balanced. The pineapple added a nice sweetness that worked perfectly with the spices. * Yellow Curry with Tofu: Decent but nothing too special. It's okay if you're craving curry, but not a standout. * Fried Rice with Basil: The star of my order! Very flavorful and aromatic--definitely the best dish I had. As for the place itself, the ambience is just okay--a small spot with plenty of parking, which is a plus. Service is fast and efficient, no complaints there. The only drawback is the pricing. Portions felt a bit on the smaller side compared to other restaurants offering similar dishes, so it did feel slightly expensive for what you get. Overall: Good food (especially the basil fried rice), quick service, but I'd say value for money could be better.

Quick, friendly service. The curry was delicious. The prices seemed more expensive than other Thai places but it could have been dinner prices vs lunch. Cozy atmosphere.

Can't get Thai in Peoria so stopped on our way through. The service was excellent! Portion size good although I couldn't stop eating to have leftovers. Expansive menu! I read so much about the spice level, and I'm disappointed because I like spicy but went with medium just in case. Wish I would have went with medium like my husband. Will be back when in the area.

Outstanding always. The food, the service and the comfy booths are the best. Their pho will make everything better.

My husband describes this place as his favorite Thai restaurant in the whole world. He hasn't been to Thailand, but for a Thai restaurant in central Illinois, this place is for real. We've stopped at this place several times in our travels, and it always delivers. (They also have carry-out. Ha!) Most important consideration. When you're asked, "how spicy?" consider the chef is probably a native of Thailand. "5" is Thai spicy, as in melt your tongue spicy. "2" is American spicy, as in your nose will run but you can still enjoy the flavor. I ordered "3" once and it was eye-watering hot. Be careful. When we were here a couple years ago, they hadn't yet reopened to dining in, but I'm happy to say, you can eat inside now. The dining room is simple and clean. The service is efficient and super fast. We waited less than 3 minutes for our crab rangoons -- crispy and filled with spicy cream cheese. The spring rolls were also expertly made and very fresh. I deviated from my useful order of shrimp green curry to try the papaya salad (aka som tum). Think of it as the tastiest tomato and iceberg lettuce salad you've ever eaten. The shredded green papaya is not sweet--it reminded me of bean sprouts. It was served with hot white rice, which I found weird until I tried it. Definitely try it. You might like it, too. It cost $17.99, which seemed high but it was very fresh and flavorful. (There are lunch specials for $12.99 if you're looking for value.) We will, without a doubt, be back.

Delicious pad Thai, always reliable, good food with nice amount of heat. My favorite place in town to grab Thai food.

The environment is not that good. But all the dishes we ordered are not really bad. Really miss the glutinous rice and mango.

Very good food at fair prices. (Passing through, from ATL.). Lots of multi-cultured local patrons. That's a good sign.

Checked out the quieter Urbana location of this Thai restaurant and it was okay to be honest. It…read morecertainly isn't a fancy looking place inside or outside. Bangkok Thai & Pho 911 has an off the beaten path feel to it. Has lots of auto garages and a creepy motel. The prices are kind of high for portions and quality. Basic looking inside but they have a bar. It's not much of one as it's still more of a restaurant. The menu has lots of the classics and is a pretty great variety. Get noodles, pho, or rice among the main choices. It's about $15 for an entree. The noodle items is what we got and there was the classic ones. I got the Pad Kee Mao. This has basil, carrots, eggs which I left off, onions, peppers, and choice of a protein, and I got it with tofu. She got the Pad Woon Sen. This is glass noodles and vegetables with choice of protein, and tofu was the choice too. Basic tasting to be honest. There was also the level of spiciness and it was hot but still wasn't a lot popping as far as the flavor it seems. For certain it's not fancy. It's got another location on campus while this one is on Cunningham without much going on around it. They're closed Tuesdays.

I'm not sure if they are the same owners of the Bangkok Thai on campus but I had really high hopes…read morebecause they had the same name. Unfortunately, I was kind of disappointed by their take out. Portion size was okay for Thai food take out but the pad see ew was very bland and underwhelming.
