The food was so fresh and flavourful, the restaurant was adorable (with excellent air conditioning), the service was great and it is reasonably priced. What a gem of a restaurant in a super unexpected place. Who knew that Ingersoll would be the hot spot for delicious Thai cuisine? We'll def. be going back. We were warned to make a reservation, which we did but not sure it was needed (it was 6 pm on a Thursday). It's a small place though so maybe just to be safe call ahead and reserve a spot first.

We ordered: blue crab hashbrowns (the only standout; would definitely order again, except that I won't likely return), salt roasted beets, brussel sprout caesar, scallops, and duck breast; then we both had creme brûlée and espresso. We tried the three white wines, one was a forgettable Chardonnay and the other two...were equally forgettable, notwithstanding being less common grapes. Only the duck was a main-size serving, and we only chose it because when we ordered there was only one order of scallops remaining (for a 5:30 seating!). I want to say "just as well" because the scallops and sauce were bland so we got to try something else...however the duck was not merely uninteresting but the red pepper sauce didn't complement and contributed nothing. The scallops were priced like a main but only four little guys on the plate, the one upside if we had both chosen them we'd have had room for another order of those crab hashbrowns. The beets were also dull, no idea why the word salt is in the name because it was absent from the dish. No tang to anything except the brussel Caesar. I've seen the brussel sprout restaurant renaissance of the last 10-15 years, this dish is pretty common now. This one was on a par with many others I've had but no improvement, and some might be put off: fully half the outer leaves are charred to the point of becoming a mouthful of ash. Not crispy, just dry ash. I guess that's different...and maybe this is the root of the problem. This restaurant makes a point of changing their menu constantly; not just seasonally, but weekly, even daily. So maybe they're just trying out stuff that pops into the chef's head. With the exception of the crab, every dish seemed to need something to make it interesting or appealing. The espresso was good, but the creme brûlée was another ill conceived concoction, with some kind of raspberry trifle thing on the bottom and the creme was a strange thick porridge-like texture and not quite the typical flavour. Last complaint: their self-description says Elevated Comfort. No. Mundane bistro look and ok seating, but that steep and poorly lit descent to the basement washrooms is the opposite of comfort. Hey, maybe we just picked the wrong items from their evolving experiment of a menu. The people are all nice, the service was good, and none of the food was bad...just meh.

This restaurant is unique for its serving style - if you order individual seafood, you eat with your hands from plastic bags. I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that we were able to keep ourselves relatively clean. We ordered a pound of mussels with garlic sauce, crawfish with lemon pepper sauce, and a fish teriyaki dish with seafood assortment. I loved the garlic sauce, as it gave the mussels a great kick. I wouldn't recommend the crawfish, as they don't have much meat. I felt like I was just nibbling the shells for the sauce. However, the fish teriyaki was a solid choice. Overall, it was a filling and tasty meal, and it came out to less than $20 per person. With so few customers in the restaurant, service was relatively prompt, but I would recommend more frequent water refills, as the sauces were quite salty. We had to personally wave over the waitress in order to get water. Otherwise, I would definitely recommend Captain's Boil if you enjoy seafood like I do. Glad they opened up in London!

This panzerotti comes in 3 sizes - kiddie, small and large. The small was huge! Definitely a 2-3 person portion in my opinion. Took a bit of time for it to arrive since it is made fresh, worth the wait. Came piping hot, gooey cheese, lots of meat and lots of mushrooms. The breading was a bit on the crisper side, hard to cut in with the knife we were given. It was super filling, the two of us couldn't even finish it and had to take it to go. You can build your own panzerotti with each topping costing about $1.49 or you can get their recommendations which they will list out how many toppings are in their recommended panzerotti (beside it). In our case, the great Canadian had a total of 6 toppings so 6 x $1.49 each, etc. Plus the size of the panzerotti you chose (price varies). Overall, if you're in town you should definitely try it out, they have a seasonal patio out front, indoor dining and free parking on the premises. They also offer a variety of different foods, pizzas, wraps, steaks, burgers, pastas, lunch, breakfast, kids menu, alcohol, etc. They open from 8am every day.
