Drove from London with two friends to try this place around a month ago! My friend loves this place, calling it the best Thai place in the region. We started off with two orders of fresh rolls. I absolutely loved the peanut sauce that came with the rolls, but found the rolls themselves a bit thick with the wrapping. By the time we finished the rolls (there were only three of us), we were pretty much a quarter full! We ordered three mains to share, family style. We got the mango fried rice (my friend's favourite), an emerald curry, and a seafood pad thai. I thoroughly enjoyed the fried rice; although I found it a tad greasy, the mango bits were an interesting addition that really accentuated the dish. The seafood pad thai was also delicious and came with a generous portion of massive prawns and lots of squid! Again, a little oily and the noodles were a tad limp. The emerald curry was okay - I found the bamboo flavour to be a bit overpowering and overwhelming, and there was the unmistakable strong flavour of coconut milk (a little too much). Overall, an okay meal made enjoyable by friends. The server was also very friendly as well! read more

I've been going to mango salad since I was little and it's always delicious! All of the curries are to die for and the coconut rice is fluffy and has a great flavour. The green mango salad was fresh and perfect for a hot afternoon lunch. It feels like on the heavier side so don't expect to eat it like a meal_ I think it's more suited with a meal and shared on the table. I also got the green curry which was good. Nothing great about it. Rmemeber to order rice separately as they are not included with curries by default. read more

This is a great little restaurant. We went with family and everyone enjoyed it. The food was very tasty and everything was fresh. The waitresses were pleasant, knowledgeable, friendly and pleasing on the eyes. Reservations are a must, as it is quite small. Clearly this would have rated 5-stars, but they don't take American Express, and that's one of my criteria; to be able to pay as I wish. read more

My partner lives in Woodstock and I, the career complainer, never tire of pointing out how boring and culture-less it is (except for an Indian restaurant in town, which is literally the best Indian food I've ever had. It's in Woodstock, ON. I know, I didn't believe it either). However, always on the look out for the perfect green coconut curry, Mango Salad showed up in our search and we decided to trek the distance for dinner. Best. Decision. Ever. The food was so fresh and flavourful, the restaurant was adorable (with excellent air conditioning), the service was great and it is reasonably priced. What a gem of a restaurant in a super unexpected place. Who knew that Ingersoll would be the hot spot for delicious Thai cuisine? We'll def. be going back. We were warned to make a reservation, which we did but not sure it was needed (it was 6 pm on a Thursday). It's a small place though so maybe just to be safe call ahead and reserve a spot first. read more

I came here after reading all the positive reviews on Yelp. The decor inside was nicely Thai themed. We ordered the share platter which was generous in size but there were only a few items that we really enjoyed. I ordered the beef rendang which was very delicious and a good serving size as well. My girlfriend ordered the gold curry which was OK but we have had more flavourful golden curry at Lily Thai restaurant. Worth a try to see if there are other menu items as good as the beef rendang. read more

Mango salad is a really delicious Thai restaurant. Service is friendly and quick the food is so fresh and delicious. I had vegetable stir fry with coconut rice on the side and the rice was the best rice I ever had. Nice and creamy and cocnutty and was never overpowered by the rest of my meal. I have heard rave reviews about Mango Salad for years now and finally had the opportunity to try it out this weekend on a visit up from Toronto. The delicious authentic flavours were exactly as described for the dishes we got; Pad Thai, Beef Curry, fresh spring rolls, and my favourite namesake- Mango salad! We even met some of the staff who were so friendly and clearly care a lot about their beloved restaurant. Would recommend to all! read more

Boy what a real gem this little place is. I'm not really into Thai per se but the dishes I had along with my American colleagues was very good. I asked for, "hot but not scorching", and that is what I received. Very clean & neat with a casual atmosphere. We found the resturant on Yelp and was surprised by the 5 star until we ate there. Short of being in Thailand this was the best Thai food I have ever had. We recently moved to Woodstock and love Thai food but had previously tried a Thai restaurant in Woodstock and were uninspired. I looked up Thai restaurants and the YELP Mango Salad review fared the place as a promising place to eat. We called up and made a reservation and made the short drive from Woodstock to Ingersoll. The restaurant is in a pretty shabby pert of town but we were pleasantly surprised the minute we walked inside. The decor was really nice and had a Thai flare. We were given a table "under the coconut tree" which was quite cute as it was literally under a coconut tree (imitation of course). We ordered the crispy spring rolls as an appetizer; which in my opinion are the best I have ever had (and I've eaten a lot of Thai). We then ordered the Pad Thai and basil beef noodles. Both were fantastic. We have returned to this restaurant a few times since and will continue to go back as the staff are friendly and the food and server are AH-MAZING!!!! I would say if you live in Woodstock or the surrounding area and you like Thai food make Mango Salad your next stop. read more
