An hour and a half later I still never got it, when I was told it would get here in 15 minutes. It's unfortunate, cause the food is good just not the service. THE SERVICE WAS VERY POOR AND UNFAIR.

This restaurant is unique for its serving style - if you order individual seafood, you eat with your hands from plastic bags. I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that we were able to keep ourselves relatively clean. We ordered a pound of mussels with garlic sauce, crawfish with lemon pepper sauce, and a fish teriyaki dish with seafood assortment. I loved the garlic sauce, as it gave the mussels a great kick. I wouldn't recommend the crawfish, as they don't have much meat. I felt like I was just nibbling the shells for the sauce. However, the fish teriyaki was a solid choice. Overall, it was a filling and tasty meal, and it came out to less than $20 per person. With so few customers in the restaurant, service was relatively prompt, but I would recommend more frequent water refills, as the sauces were quite salty. We had to personally wave over the waitress in order to get water. Otherwise, I would definitely recommend Captain's Boil if you enjoy seafood like I do. Glad they opened up in London!

I tried the Garlic's burger, which was okay, but nothing special, though still decent. The gnocchi was soft and pillowy, but the flavor wasn't really to my liking--it's heavily mushroom-based, so mushroom lovers might enjoy it more. I wished it had more of a nutty flavor. The pizza, however, was the star of the show. It was genuinely excellent, topped with pesto, arugula, and ham. It was so good that I still miss it! Overall, it was a good place to visit, especially after hearing some positive feedback from others. I think the dinner menu and service might offer a better experience.

You *smell* it on the way in and it's positively fabulous how potent the garlic is. Service staff were stellar too, so I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these guys if you're nearby! Very kind service staff from start to finish. Didn't matter who's table it was, we were treated very well and had swift actions despite their busy peak hours. Interior is lovingly local with loads of signed art posters of shows while keeping furniture of decor looking pretty modern. Bread 5/5 Usually I highly prefer warm bread, but the bread was a nice spongey foccacia with a lovely chew paired with a fresh spicy olive oil dip. Good enough for some seconds! Garlic bisque - 5/5 Fresh black pepper grind for this boy as well! Super creamy, super delcious, fully delivers on all the garlicky glory. It was their only soup but I'd have another one to be frank. Didn't get a good picture of this sadly, but nice swirl presentation with the oil drizzle. Garlic frites - 5/5 This was probably the only dish I didn't think was garlic'ked to the high heavens, but it did have a nice light fry to them with a good and balanced seasoning to them. I'm not familiar with this cheese they use a lot of, but it does have a nice complexity to it without too much grease. The dip though, it was just beautiful with how smokey and much umami it had with a light citric bite at the end. Garlic's Burger - 4/5 The only critique I had with this was with the bun, which was unfortunately rather dry / thick compared to the burger itself. Otherwise it works pretty well in terms of composition as the buttery goodness of the roll blends with the rather tender patty (despite their 3oz. sizing they were remarkably tender even without much pink at all). The side we got was their caeser (option for fries or soup alternative). Very creamy (and garlicky, as promised by the name). Hot and smokey fettucine - 5/5 It was nothing like I imagined it when I ordered it, but remarkably creative as it was rather far from typical italian that I've had. Technique wise it was top notch, which edged it closer to a thai or chinese dry noodle stir fry without any obvious sauce base (afaik just oil and spicy pepper). Very solid amount of heat as a good medium for the spicy-minded, which is surprising given that it's the only item on the menu marked spicy. Flavor-wise the chicken came out closer to what I'd imagine sausage to be at with how smokey it tasted, but with a nice aroma to it from browning the noodles and garlic.

Even after sitting on platter as we ate slowly over 30 min... still excellent. If I were choosing one app this would be it. The shrimp were exceptionally good. I'd be glad to eat them all alone as an app... one of the best. Mozzarella sticks, onion rings, mini spring rolls, garlic cheese bread and potato skins were good. Would not be disappointed if I didn't taste everything else. But not great The wings are prepared very crispy with lots of batter, cooked right. But the "medium" sauce is quite mild and very sweet. Two big men left satisfied after sharing the platter as our meal so portions are good. 5 sauces were fun. Staff were very friendly. Just so busy. I will not be going back. With so many restaurants available in that end of London I cannot believe that anyone would continue to go to this dive. So very rude, and the food is sub-par, at best. I can understand once, but I tried a few times (I am in the area often with friends) - Just stay away!

We ordered beet salad, artichoke dip, crab cakes, Kang's fiery pork and Smokey BBQ lime chicken. All of the dishes were categorized as appetizers but they were main dish sizes! It's hard to imagine with $30+ per person, you can enjoy a fancy meal with attentive service these days. Unlike many other restaurants in GTA, this place doesn't charge you money for bread and the quality is so good. I really like the soft butter with good scent. The beet salad with goat was quite refreshing. The artichoke dip was flavourful too. The pork is tender and flavourful (spicy). Strongly recommend these three dishes. I didn't like the crab cake which doesn't have much crab flavour and the texture of which is weird too. The chicken is dry too. The server was offering to replace our chicken dish with something else when he heard the dish was so-so (although we didn't ask him to switch it). We were so satisfied with the environment and service here that we wanted to revisit during the rest of our trip if they were opening on those days. It'll definitely be my number one dinner choice when I'm revisiting London.

After checking the menu that day, I was on the fence between Jambalaya and Turkey Chili. And so, I chose to message the company on Facebook. Even though he/she was vegetarian, he/she tried her best to help with my decision, providing information about the difference in health, calories, and fat of the two options. He or she even asked other non-vegetarian employees for their favourites to help me make my choice. Excellent service! In the end, I settled on Turkey Chili. The medium portion was a real steal, and very tasty and filling! A whole bunch of my friends likewise chose to eat here, and they offered the Wicked Thai and small corned beef sandwich special, Salmon Chowder, and the Chicken Noodle Soup.
