Great experience in a history filled place. Sat in the balcony and had a great view. I didn't think I could have gone wrong with any seating option. Only one bar was open but they were quick and efficient with slinging drinks. Place has their own beer too. Would come back.

Beautiful concert venue! It's kept up very nicely, well-renovated, clean and aesthetic. Came for the slow pulp concert and had a great time, sat up in the bleachers for the first half hour or so then went down to the floor to be in the crowd a little more, but both spots were really nice. Overall, I was really impressed by how nice the space is.

How can you not enjoy Thalia Hall?! Such a cool concert venue, with plenty of vintage fixings. I've seen some of my favorite artist here including Corrine Bailey Rae and Marc Rebillet. They pour heavy so of course I'd never complain. There's some cool bars across the street too.

I was kinda confused on the entrance and ended up in a restaurant but was guided to the hall. The hall is is great very spread out. The staff was cool no long wait (the coat check though eeek) so I kept mine. I love the balcony seats if your with some friends it's really cool. I came for general admin to see the Rebirth Brass Band and Low Down Brass Band I enjoyed myself

I've been to a few shows at Thalia Hall now, and think it is an awesome venue! I prefer to get tickets for the upper area where you can sit if you want, and the main floor is mostly standing only. The sound is great from wherever you are as well! My husband and I recently went to go see Neal Francis with Smushie as the opener and it is always just such a good time!

Bathrooms--at least the women's--are terrible. The stalls are so narrow that if you're over a certain size, or just not very nimble, it's tricky getting into them. The problem is that there is almost no space on the sides of the toilet, and the door is just way to close to it so you practically have to straddle the toilet to open it. I guess having the doors swing outward would solve the latter issue.... I don't know if the upstairs bathrooms are the only ones so maybe elsewhere in the building they're ok but yikes. There's a GA section downstairs and seating in the balcony. Sound quality isn't fantastic, but isn't terrible, either. Sight lines from the balcony are good though. When I saw Cat Power, they had a bar upstairs. Handy. Parking is nonexistent--official parking for the venue, that is. If you can find a spot somewhere in Pilsen then you have parking, but I have never found parking in this area to be easy let alone a given. If you're driving, leave plenty early with the assumption you'll have to drive around or park a bit away from the venue. I do appreciate that they are working to be accessible. They have accommodations for folks with wheelchairs, even in shows where it's generally GA/standing only. I assume they would do the same for folks with limited mobility or other issues that would preclude them from standing for hours. Also, they'll arrange for an ASL interpreter for Deaf or Hard of Hearing patrons, which isn't something I have seen before from other venues (full disclosure, it is something I haven't looked for, so that may be more on me than other concert halls). I hope this starts to become standard in the industry.

One of our fave concert spots! Chill atmosphere, great size (small enough to feel intimate but big enough that artists you actually have heard of will be there). Always a joy to see an artist I like coming here!

Thalia from the balcony. Not a bad seat in the place.

Such a gem of a venue. I've been to Thalia on a handful of occasions and have never been disappointed. The atmosphere itself is worth the venture in. It's well maintained ( no sticky floors here). There is a chalkboard that is updated for the headliners at each show. It's a great photo op if you're into that. But a little something to point out: the stalls of the bathroom are unisex. My husband walked out of the stall to wash his hands and there was a gaggle of women primping in the mirror. He had to question if he walked into the wrong restroom. Nope right place... things they are a changing.

THIS WORKER was looking at the whole concert eyeing. Me down! He is so weird!!!

This worker was looking at me the whole time and yelling at people too!! Did not enjoy the concert because of him! He was eyeing me down and told my friend to stop taking sm videos like what bruh!? Also he lied said I been vaping and saying other people weren't !? That's insane!

This is the so-called "two-person" booth.

UPDATE: Bruce was quick to respond to my review, and I appreciate his response. We have box seats for the English Beat tonite, in a reserved "small box" I'm appalled that this venue actually charges for seating in this space. We were originally seated in the wring box, which was spacious with a small table with ice water and glasses, six seats and waitress service. We ordered a bottle of wine. When the waitress came back, we mentioned that we had reserved a box for two, and asked if we were in the right spot. NOPE. She moved us to one box forward that had a small bench with rumpled vinyl coveringwhich faced a wall. If both of is were seated, one person would not see the stage. Oh, and we had to put our expensive bottle of wine on the floor. Way to keep to classy Thalia Hall. PS, this happened after a not so great pre-show dining experience at Dusek's.

The truth of the statement revealed itself as vaunted ceilings gave this cavernous room an aura of grandeur and the feeling of tradition. There were beings engaged in erudite studies with an inflexible concentration on laptops, notebooks, and in the back were old men going back and forth on the chessboards. It was still and had the eerie silence of a church chapel and sunbeams flowed in from the windows above. What an alien universe and there I was with a large foil tin carrying thirty of the best chicken wings Chicago had to offer. After the religious pilgrimage to Wings Around the World, Reuben H and Aurore L had the good sense to take us all to Reynolds where we wouldn't be bothered and be allowed to worship our wings in peace. For the moment, Reuben went to fetch pop while Aurore went off as well. I was alone and a heretic - a trespasser sneaking in and using up space that I had no right to, but the chess players were very old and had no business being there either. Then it came to me that everyone was allowed in and Reynolds was there for all to share, no identification required! Lined on the walls are large portraits showing various trustees of the University of Chicago. Lists of past Presidents line the wall and the fashion progression from long beards and robes to finely made designer suits and shaved faces led us to mock one portrait - he definitely wanted some of our chicken wings! We cracked open our wings and uncapped our pops only to find that the Cherry Pepsi was expired! While we munched and crunched on our chicken wings, nary a soul turned their heads nor noticed what fine dining we were helping ourselves to. The unbending concentration of the other people in the hall sustained itself except for the old chess players who all got up and went out for a smoke. We ate undisturbed and worked to get rid of the evidence. On our way out a young college student declared that he was going to have to retake high school chemistry. We laughed about it and then I thought that they were right - It really was just like Harry Potter!
