Repetitive | energetic | cozy Repetitive: we went to see game of tiraras. As big fans of game of thrones the premise seemed intriguing. While the beginning was entertaining the jokes were often recycled and over time became predictable. Because of this we decided to leave at intermission. Energetic: the cast was extremely energetic. Very positive worked hard and took their credit seriously. I wish the content that they were putting on was more compelling. Cozy: the theatre is small but cozy. Every seat is a good seat with a great view. The ceiling is relatively low, so it connects you with the experience and cast. Pro Tip: there is a good amount of street parking around the theatre. Also, it is really close to the CTA stop off the red line.

Nate and I went here to see a matinee of the Game of Tiara's. Pretty much Game of Thrones meets Disney princesses, with a sprinkle of Southpark. I was really looking forward to this play, however we decided to leave at intermission as the play was very repetitive and well, not funny. Nothing on the actors/actresses who put in great effort, but the writing was flawed and the direction misguided. The theater itself is a great setup. Small theater with seats close to the stage, good sound/lighting, and prompt show times make this a desirable location to see another play. They have a small concession stand but it looks like packaged snacks (think Oreos and Goldfish). I think I also saw alcoholic beverages, if that's your thing.

Cup of Pinot Noir - why not?

Great neighborhood theatre! Brought my 5 year old daughter here to see Penelope Pennyworth Girl Detective and it was a great family friendly production. My daughter and I really enjoyed it. The theatre is not big and there is not a bad seat no matter where you sit. Nice waiting area that sell refreshments before the show, even wine for the adults if you like. Street parking where you pay the box meter and it's free on Sundays. We will be back.

I was so glad to support a local theatre. It was a terrific experience…read more The best part of this theatre is indeed how tiny it is - it feels intimate and so welcoming as a result. Walking in, multiple people greet you at the bar (drinks are donation-based and not fancy, per se, but you can get Kirkland brand wine or a local beer, so that's fine!). My ticket's barcode refused to print, but they found my ticket quickly. The stage itself is completely overlapping with the seating. In other words, you sit onstage: it's all one level. The seats, at least when I went, are all one row deep. It is great for short people like me, because we don't have to look over people in front of us. It is also great for tall people, who don't have blocked legroom of any sort (unless you have to pull in some long limbs if the actors are close enough to you where they might trip!). There are two large, ADA-compliant bathrooms, including one within the stage/seating area! Despite being a tiny theatre without a ton of publicity, you can still see brand new plays and similar works, as well as well established plays that have been performed worldwide. There is a personal, inclusive touch here, which is great to see. It was nice that the artistic director welcomed us all before the show started and gave us information about other upcoming productions!

There's this calm energy in the space that instantly pulls you in -- the light, the textures, the way every corner seems to tell its own little story. It's rare to find somewhere that feels so alive yet so peaceful at the same time. What I love most is how Bramble Art Loft isn't just about art hanging on walls -- it's about community, conversation, and creativity in motion. You can tell that everything there has been chosen or created with real intention. It's also very easy to connect with the actors because there isn't a bad seat in the house! It's a very small theater, and it's hard to find on the street, but look for the big "R" in their window. There is also street parking, so get there early to find your spot. I saw the play "I Call My Brothers" and it was fantastic. The actors and the plot had me immersed during the entire show. It was only about 1.5 hours long, and I was left invigorated. The stage isn't very large, and it's a minimalist style play (in regards to props), but if there were more props in the play, it would ruin it. The actors were fantastic and the play was amazing. This is a great spot to have a show. I do like this and am going to look forward to other plays at this theater.

I can't wait to see what they'll be putting on next.
