Scarface performing for Arts, Beats & Life
    Andre W.

I have been to this awesome west loop/Fulton Market space on about 5 occasions for different reasons. 2 times for Art, Beats & Life which had one of my favorite rappers Scarface performing, a law fundraisers, Jack Daniels event and most recently the CIMA holiday party. Very big space with 2 floors! Sound system is pretty good as you can hear the music/performers very clear anywhere in the venue. If you're having an event that includes 1000+ people, wedding, mass tastings; this is your place to hit!

Located a few blocks from the Green Line Morgan stop, this intimate and warm market is filled with holiday gift ideas. There are several small business owners and artisans selling their unique and interesting holiday ideas. The prices are a bit pricey but how can you put a price on a unique gift and still support the small business community? There are arts and crafts classes, food, clothing, jewelry, and candles. The market offers free water and free eye brow penciling. Kids can have free colorung books and snacks. Theres parking. Come early and spend the morning finding unique gifts.

Super cool venue! I was told they used to manufacture roller coasters there way back before it became a trendy banquet party spot. If that is true and not Chicago urban legend, that makes Morgan MFG a super cool maybe even a romantic venue. Who doesn't like rich Chicago history and how can you not love roller coasters? In my top 5 best Ladies Rooms of Chicago. Spacious, well lit and private. Many mirrors and details. The food was great. It was set up as mini buffet stations of around the world fair. One area was Asian food with Ramen and sushi, another was Italian with pastas and flatbread pizzas. There was more exotic fare as well, but I failed to take good notes. Bars were well staffed and had good options. Staff was professional and polite.

I've been to this being you several times because it is known for hosting some of the hottest events in Chicago One of my favorite event that was hosted here was actually the Lexus event and they rolled out the red carpet and was very nice and very well organized On this visit it was actually an art fusion with great hits and Jack Daniel's Honey liquor I'm not a big fan of dark liquor at all but I was able to find something that fit me which was the Honey Jack Daniels mixed with lemonade and a few more items it was right up my alley it was very sweet then have a big kick and it kept me mellow the rest of the night This venue is huge it can have several thousands of people in this particular night it was filled with art lovers and brown liquor Enthusiast and people just looking for a nice free time on a Friday freezing night in Chicago Lots of people but there was no drama many many photo-ops even the bathroom is magnificent it had a huge plush ottoman or all the girls were taking selfies and relaxing are aching feet and huge illuminated ceiling over 20 stalls when no one was waiting enough sinks and mirrors for you to get all dolled up and back out there until the excitement I would definitely come to another event here

This event space is huge! Came here for a fundraising event. They advertise as "industrial elegance" and I would agree. There's a downtown warehouse cool vibe going on. The event I attended took place solely in the Production area which apparently can accommodate up to 700 people standing. In the middle of the space is a skylight window which is a nice touch. The acoustics are great so if you're planning a speech, etc. that might be helpful to know. Sound system is loud. The sheer size of the space might make decor a task but if you're up for a challenge, it's the type of space that can be completely transformed. The bathroom (at least on the ladies side) is really nice. The location is a little remote but that's why Uber comes in handy.

I had the opportunity to go to a wedding/reception here recently and loved it! The place definitely has a modern feel to it, with the location and interior usage of brick walls and even the outside. It's a very industrial ambience but with the right decor you can transform it into anything you want. It's a very big spacious area, and has enough room so no one will congested. The people who set up this place specially for the reception went above and beyond making it really romantic and set the tone for the night. The glass ceilings above also shed some more sunlight into the room creating even more of an open space. The bathrooms in this place are really what were the highlight. The women's bathroom has a ceiling chandelier that looks like fireworks frozen in midair and is breathtaking! The bathroom itself is very big but the decor in it was beautiful. Definitely a place to rent due to it's location and space, check out for your next event!

I was here for Holidose. This venue is huge! For the Dose Market Holiday themed event it had what I would say had to be hundreds of vendors. Food, clothes, drinks, pictures, hats, gloves, more food, you name it. I am not sure what the history of this building is but it is really unique. The layout is open with several different spaces sectioned off by some walls and alternate levels. It gives the feel of an old manufacturing space with a modern update. It does a good job of letting in light where it was needed and keeping it dark where they wanted. Apparently the bathrooms were very nice too. The space fit for Dose and I would come back here for an event in the future.

A+ pimped out industrial chic event space. Large space has multiple venues for anything from weddings to corporate parties, lectures. Brick walls, wood beam ceilings and metal pillars/industrial doors, tinted concrete floors. Large and more intimate private bar areas and lounges through out provide a variety of flexible space options. Parking lot provides easy self or valet parking. Large industrial windows and skylights provide great light in certain areas while other areas are dark and intimate.

Is it a safe neighborhood I'm not familiar with the area and looking to attending pet con there? Is there evidence of its safe?

From the…read moreoutside it's understated, but once you step into the Light Court, the space opens up with natural light, ironwork, and detail everywhere you look. The Frank Lloyd Wright staircase is subtle but impressive--nothing flashy, just solid design that holds up over time.Tip for first-time visitors: go on a weekday and aim for mid-morning if you can--the light is best, it's calmer, and you'll actually have space to stop and look around. It's not a long visit, but it doesn't need to be. The Rookery is simple, beautiful, and worth slowing down for.

Make no mistake, this space is stunning and definitely something to see. As a recent wedding guest,…read moreI was expecting more. The setup of the building makes for a cramped wedding. We had to stay in the crowded lobby for a long time before the ceremony space was opened. The restrooms are far away from the action, about as far from the party as they could be. The second floor cocktail space was cramped. The two bartenders were soooo slow. Not sure if they were part of the catering staff the Rookery uses or separate. Dinner was exceptional. No one knew the bar moved from the second floor to a space under a first-floor staircase for drinks after dinner. There was no announcement of where desserts were located. A lot of the issues I had with the wedding could have been eliminated had an experienced planner been hired. Too often during the day guests were not sure where to go or what was happening, what was next. It's a beautiful space but my advice to couples would be to hire a planner who is experienced and who has worked several wedding at the Rookery. Also, I was told the space was rented the night before the wedding so the couple couldn't have a rehearsal. Unfortunately, that was obvious and added to the disjointed event. Also, some tourist walked into the back of the ceremony space during the wedding. I would have thought Rookery staff/security would keep tourists out of a private event, but this is one of those things that will become a funny wedding story in a couple of years.
