The venue is absolutely beautiful and you can use their services and vendors if you choose but it is not required like many other venues. We chose the all inclusive package and it was great. I recently hosted an event at Palace Regency in Cicero and unfortunately had a very disappointing…read moreexperience. Communication with the owner was poor from the start. Calls and messages often went unanswered, and when I raised concerns about issues during the event, they were dismissed rather than addressed. On the day of the event, several things went wrong. Dinner service started late, the food was served cold, and there was only one bartender for approximately 130 guests. Drinks that were supposed to be served during dinner were never delivered. When I asked staff for assistance, no one was able to help or identify a point person in charge. Additionally, the venue was still being set up when it was supposed to be ready, which added unnecessary stress while I was trying to decorate and prepare. Instead of offering a meaningful resolution, I was offered a small discount for a future event and tickets to a band, which felt inappropriate given the situation. Overall, I was unable to fully enjoy my mother's event because I was busy managing issues that should have been handled by the venue. I would not recommend Palace Regency based on my experience.

If you have a small-to-mid-sized event to host then I strongly encourage you to have it here. We came for a friend's birthday party and had an absolute blast. The main (ground floor) room offered exactly what was needed for the gathering: ample space to mingle, a central bar, a plethora of places to sit, a clean bathroom, amazing food, and an even more amazing staff. (I also heard the upstairs is really cool but didn't get a look for myself) Our group was not large, and not particularly rowdy*, but the space and the level of service made it feel much more intimate. From the moment we walked in the door we felt warmly welcomed by everyone. The bartender made quick work of all drink orders and the serving of the food was perfectly timed. Speaking of the food: wow. It was DELICIOUS! I had three full plates myself. And I took some leftovers home. Incredible edibles! But another word about the staff, because they really made this whole experience... not only were they friendly but they were Johnny On The Spot with cleaning everything up. No plate was left for more than a minute without being scooped up and no drink was left spilled either. Additionally, towards the end of the night, *someone had had just a bit too much fun but the staff was totally cool and completely helpful. They are top notch. As you can tell, I can go on and on. But I'll stop here and close with: Have your next event here, you will not regret it!

It's been one year since Park Manor 75 opened its doors, and I have to say, this place is, and…read morecould very well remain, one of Chicago's best-kept South Side secrets. My friend and I stopped in to celebrate its first anniversary, and honestly, I don't think it would have mattered whether they were celebrating or not. This place has great staff, great snacks, and even better drinks. To say I can't say enough good things about the establishment, the owners, and the overall look and feel of this place would be a complete understatement. Let me explain. When you walk inside, it doesn't feel like a place that's only been around for a year. It feels like it's been handed down from generation to generation, each one caring for it, adding a little something of its own, and making sure the next generation has something wonderful to inherit. That's the kind of warmth and character this place has. From the music to the lighting, everything just hit right for me. There was laughter, there were smiles, and there was this overall sense of joy coming from the patrons. It didn't feel like people were simply out for drinks. It felt like everyone was genuinely happy to be there. But hold on. Let's talk about the food. The collard green cheese dip and the sweet potato hummus. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! Dangerously good. Both of them. The kind of snacks you order thinking you'll just have a little something with your drink, and suddenly you're wondering whether it would be socially acceptable to order another round just for yourself. I could have eaten that all night. Now, the drinks. Pause for a moment. I've said time and time again how much I wished a place like this place carried LoveLuvv sparkling wine. Every visit, the same thought. I kept hoping that one day I'd walk in and see it on a menu. Well, let me tell you something. THEY HAD IT! THEY POURED IT! AND IT WAS GOOD! And just when I thought the evening couldn't get any better, they had black vodka. Come on now! BLACK VODKA aka Copajn Vodka! Ya killing me, Smalls! Between the food, the drinks, the atmosphere, and the people, Park Manor 75 has managed to create something that feels increasingly rare. A place with personality, warmth, and a genuine connection to the neighborhood it calls home. And to think they've accomplished all of this in just one year. If this is what year one looks like, I can't wait to see what the next several years bring. So here's my recommendation. Visit this place. Eat the snacks. Drink the drinks. Enjoy the music, take in the atmosphere, and appreciate what the owners have created. And before you leave, don't forget to shake the owners' hands and tell them thank you for making this place so wonderful. Happy first anniversary, Park Manor 75! Chicago's South Side has something special here, and I hope it stays that way for many years to come.
