I myself do not color my hair but from going to this salon since it's opening I have seen so many gorgeous colors and looks come out of this amazing salon. Chelsea is amazing. She gave me the best pixie cuts and I was truly so sad to have to find a new stylist after being relocated to a different city for work. Chelsea is a hair artist that truly is an expert in her craft. So of course I needed to get my hair done for the holidays, and since my hairdresser Karinna just moved here, I'm glad I was able to continue being he client. I totally love this new place. First of all it's only 5 minutes to my home, and location is amazing!! So great to have Peet's coffee next door, Karinna while my hair was under heater she went to get me coffee!! The salon itself is cute, waiting area is super cute with an assortment of candies to help yourself, not a candy person so I skipped all that but it's just cute. Another thing I really liked was having the color area separate than hairdressers station. To preface my review, I'm rating Thairapy off of 1: the actual haircut, 2: cost, and 3: service. - I got my haircut done by Chamise. All in all, from walking in the door to walking out, the process took 24 minutes. This includes the wash, cut, and blow dry. Now, I did get a pretty basic haircut but I paid $75 total and I feel like if I'm spending that much on a haircut, then I should at least have spent 30 minutes in there. I'm happy with my haircut, but it's not incredible. I give it a 4/5. - cost: 1/5. Like I said, $75 for roughly ~25 minutes just feels hasty. I should mention that I was 15 minutes late due to post-work traffic, but as soon as I walked in Chamise seemed agitated. I apologized but she told me she'll "blow dry it halfway" to save time. Damn, I'm sorry, I didn't realize that me being late would diminish the service I was receiving. I didn't need it blow dried at all, but I think she should have at least asked if it was okay to do so rather than just telling me. Conversation was dull, not that I cared, but it just felt a bit awkward after I arrived late. - service: 1/5. After seeing all the 5-star reviews I was so determined to book here. Mistake. I had to call Thairapy 3 separate times on several occasions, message them on FB, and DM them on Instagram twice before I could actually get a response. Their website doesn't have an online booking system either. Their website states that haircuts PLUS style are $50 but for some reason Chamise was $70, and another stylist, Kat, was $75. I received a haircut and zero styling... So be wary of that. Their availability wasn't the greatest, but they are flexible if you have to reschedule. Actually reaching them for an appointment was just frustrating. Overall, would I come here again? I think I'll try out some neighboring salons before that happens. read more

I was recently in SB on a work trip, stopped into this cute little place and sat down in Erik's chair. I explained what I wanted, he made some suggestions, asked some questions and went to work. He is a master with those razor and sheers. I absolutely loooove the end product. To top it off, he cut it to where I can put my hair up in a clip (as I normally do and when I let it down, it curls and falls so pretty!! Perfect and feels so light without losing the length. I've been having my haircut with Karina for the pass couple of years. She bring life to my hair every time I go in for my usual haircut. I have natural curly hair that I style with hot tools periodically. No chemical treatments and no hair color treatments. Karina is very knowledgeable and always remembers my hair and just knows what's to do. What I love the most is how honest she is about what will work and does for your hair. As a last-minute thought, while I was at my dentist's office (Smile Design, Kimberly Pham), I searched for a hairdresser in the area for a quick hair cut and got a hit with Thairapy Salon. While they couldn't take me as a walk-in right then, I got an appointment for 2 days later with Chamise. I love the convenient parking lot and the salon is really styled nicely. Chamise was great, she's so sweet and nice, she made me feel right at home. She understood exactly what I wanted and I got a great haircut. I couldn't be happier. I'll be seeing her again in 7 weeks!
