I called two days ago to make an appointment to get my hair highlighted/lowlighted and a cut with no return call from anyone from the salon.

Terribly over priced which would be more acceptable if they knew how to do hair but they are terrible at their job and ruin your hair or dont do what you wanted to do to your own hair then they charge you 5x the price a normal salon. DO NOT GO HERE there are such better places to go that are actually professional and don't charge you thousands for terrible work. If I could leave 0 stars I would. They scam you for your money and ruin your hair. read more

Brianna is absolutely amazing and has a true talent and gift at her craft of making you and your hair, look like the best version of yourself! I came to Brianna with short bob length hair that I had hacked into myself, leaving everything uneven and looking so bad, that all I felt comfortable doing, was wearing it in a short ponytail to hide what I had done to it. I didn't want to go any shorter but was really wanting to add some length to my hair to make me feel more comforable in the growing out process, which I knew would be a good 6-12 months. So I was on the hunt for someone who was really good at putting in hair extentions, and who could create a longer hairstyle that looked super natural. Not only did the extentions need to be installed well, but then the color and cut had to be done to make it all cohesive and natural. Well...Brianna friggin Nailed it! I was doubtful that I would walk out liking it, but I was feeling so hopeless about my hair situration, that I figured I'd at least try this option and if I hated it, then I could always take it out and put it back in the ponytail. All I can say is I'm so glad I found Brianna and decided to trust her. She has helped me feel more like myself again and get my confidence back. In a word, EXCELLENT! I made an appointment with Mollys d arrived a few minutes early. First, the space is amazing and so chill and relaxing. They offered water an a Spritz - so great and refreshing. Molly is a truly wonderful professional. I loved the vibe in the salon, everyone was very friendly and full of youthful energy. In the many years I've had Yelp, I've never left a review. However, I'm so happy with the service I received here that I decided it was time! I had long, dark black and was desperate to get an ombré. I had gone to local salons and come out dissatisfied. A few months ago, I ended up trying SB Salon and got paired with Reese! She was realistic that I may not be able to get to my ideal hairstyle in one session, but after five hours, I absolutely loved how it looked. I wish I had known about this salon from the beginning. 6 months since I had my hair dyed by Sierra Lippert and i still LOVE the color. When I came to Sierra I was desperate for a color correction. I used a red box dye in my hair during covid and damaged it so bad I thought it would take a year before my hair was soft again. Sierra scheduled me an appointment last minute 3 days before my birthday. She listened to everything I wanted and got the end result down to a T. I told her I prefer my hair a bit on the darker side. And I told her I would prefer I don't have to routinely dye it. 6 months later and I still LOVEE the color. I walked out after the color session with hair that felt softer and healthier than before I dyed it. And then not to mention Sierra is the sweetest hairstylist I ever had. She was so kind. I visited for the first time and I love this neighborhood salon. It does everything right. The website has an online booking capability which is really great for when you're trying to book something last minute online when it's after business hours. Love that. Also - kudos on the class factor. I like being offered a beverage such as tea or water when I arrive and they go above and beyond to settle you in - you're going to be there for a few hours so that is truly helpful. My service was great - I'm a brunette so it's pretty easy to get my brown going in the right direction - but they did a great job and Sierra and her assistant Molly were really lovely to work with. But when you're at a salon at the end of the day you're spending a good amount of time chatting with the folks there and I really enjoyed the staff. Everybody was really professional and friendly and I truly enjoyed my time while they sorted out my color. So I did some research and went to Tenaya at Studio B. My goal is to go from dark to light and still keep my hair on my head. So going into my first visit I honestly wasn't expecting too much. This was by far my BEST experience with a hair salon (or as I call it a haven) in Santa Barbara. To give some background, I came in distraught & frantic from 2 negative Ulta hair salon appointments. I won't go into it other than to say, I came in with blue/grayish roots & a COMPLETE color correction disaster. I was so upset to ring in my birthday weekend with this mess but I started calling up salons, even though I had very low expectations that I would be able to fix it on the day of my birthday coming from NorCal to Santa Barbara. Studio B answered my inquiry (and my prayers) very quickly, worked around my already jam packed schedule of appointments. I came in for a quick consult before running to my next appointment & they made me feel understood & SANE from all the doubt the previous salon manager had left me with my confusing hair color. The ladies at the salon were so comforting, so helpful. Shoutout to the wonderful lady who got me a charger & champagne to celebrate my 22nd, shoutout to the gorgeous salon owner who patiently listened to me/made me feel welcome... and MOST IMPORTANTLY CAITLIN, a goddess of a hairstylist. You listened to my concerns, gave me a very fair price point as a freshly graduate college kid, completely saved my hair in the span of less than 2 hours. I know I'm ranting but truly this appointment seemed to be fate showing me & restoring my faith in true artistry in the Santa Barbara hair business. She took such awesome care of my hair, fixed the lopsided layers that were done by a different stylist (not from SB salon), and educated me on how to maintain healthy hair.
