Sorry, no. I'm looking for a new stylist, so I booked on the site, but I had the wrong date. I booked a lengthy weave and highlight thing for 3.5 hours, costing $300. When I got there and learned I had the wrong date and the wrong person, I met with a lovely hair stylist, and we decided I just needed a root color and pull through to the ends - no toner, no weave. I was there for 1 hour maximum. They still charged me $300, and when I contacted Cindy, the manager, she said the stylist had told me I had gotten a weave and had even checked the cameras and more services. No, I didn't. The site costs shows that my services should have been about $150. I was hoping for a small return because 1 color, 1 hour really is not a $300 level. I was the only one in the salon which is never a good sign. Super bummed by this interaction. read more

Payed $300 for a balayage that looks like i did myself i showed Betty a picture for reference on what i wanted/ was looking for however it turned out to be nothing a like. as you can see in my pictures it is all uneven when i put my hair up my left side has more highlights than my right & The back of my hair is a lighter blonde and the top is just orange. 100/10 This is my all time favorite place. It's located in a cutesy part of town next to a cafe. Lety is amazing and is the only stylist I've seen here. They have comfortable seating at all stations which I love when I get a wash done. They also offer refreshments upon arrival. Very sweet and local salon. Would recommend. The vibe of this salon is amazing and all of the worker are so sweet and welcoming. I have really long and thick brunette hair, and I typically have a hard time finding someone to trust enough to cut my hair. Ingrid has quickly become the only person I trust with my hair. She is seriously so talented with her work! I can show her a photo of what I want or even describe the look I'm going for and she never fails to make my hair look fabulous. She is super sweet, never cuts off more than I want, and always asks if I'm happy with how my hair looks throughout my haircut process. She recently has started adding tinsel extensions to my hair and it is literally my newest obsession. And I was very disappointed to receive something quite different from what I had asked for I brought pictures. I had a conversation and they said they had everything need to succeed. Nancy saved my hair! I had a horrible haircut done somewhere else. The layers were choppy, it stuck up everywhere, it was uneven, and I had no idea what to do with it. I was in a panic. I reached out via Yelp and heard back almost immediately. They were able to squeeze me in last minute (within the hour) to try and fix it. I do not disagree that Lety is talented, however, in my opinion coloring and highlighting blonde is not her greatest asset. Yes, I used Madison Reeds root touch up to hold me over, but that shouldn't have had any impact on my highlights. I had a consultation with Lety and we agreed that it would take a few times to get my hair high lighted to the level I wanted. I can't remember exactly how many times I was in her chair, but it was many and in a relatively short period of time. And, as what my original post stated the results were NOT what we discussed. After the debacle, she took a picture of my hair and compared it to the picture I gave for reference and there was no comparison. My hair looked bluish purple - NOT what the picture portrayed. The detail work she did on my highlights, mixed with her precise sectioning and care, made me now a forever customer of hers She also walked me through pricing, and was straightforward on what she was doing the entire time. If you have long hair and are doing highlights-book an appointment for 3 hours or a little longer. She will take your hair and transform it into exactly what you want. "Haven Salon" was the first to reach out to me after franticly leaving voicemails to every hair studio in town. Pressed for time Beatrice was very accommodating and empathetic to my situation and was able to squeeze me into her busy schedule last minute. I showed a picture to Beatrice and she gave me exactly what I wanted for my special day. She felt really bad that she had to do it in a hurry but I was more grateful than ever. I was taken by the accommodating owners of Haven Salon. They arranged for me to meet with Nancy in a timely fashion. She was absolutely the most professional, caring (I was miserable) and well organized person I'd met in the industry. Right away formulated a plan. During my time with her I found she had worked with my daughter years back and we had no idea she was here now! My gratitude for my awesome color correction, hair styling and meeting my new hair stylist runs deep. Everyone at my meeting that evening complimented my hair! The absolute WORST customer service experience. We will NEVER step foot in this place again. My 16yo daughter booked an appt online for 12:30pm but she didn't realize travel time. She called to say she'd be late. We ended up getting there just right before 1pm. The stylist (who's not on their website but maybe her name is Beatrice?) says she doesn't have time for the highlights service requested. She could do half the head and return another time for the other half, or get a hair cut. Then after 30min washing my daughter's hair in the back, she said she has no time for the haircut but we are obligated to pay her $200 for the highlight service that we were late for. She called the owner who came out and harassed me for being late and that they don't have time for any services but they will charge me $200 since my daughter agreed and marked an x next to their online agreement form. They want to charge $200 without any services ??? Ludicrous. What kind of customer service is this? You get better at Super Cuts. As my daughter is sitting in the chair waiting for a hair cut I didn't want her to walk away without getting anything done. They finally agreed there is enough time for a hair cut. So even though a hair cut is $110 they charged me $200. next time I will record what this owner has to say. So very rude. I've since called my cc company. They have said I don't ever have to pay for services I did not get. They recommended disputing and placing a complaint with the bbb. update: 4/29/22 Yes I am the mother who was harangued by the male owner of this salon. You are right my daughter is 17 less than one week ago, not 16. I misspoke. And YOU were not there. So the book you've written to save your face is INCORRECT. We did not miss this appt. and made every possible effort to get there with SB traffic. Our daughter attends a local boarding school and she forgot how long it takes to get there with traffic. To tell me there is no time for a hair cut and I will still need to pay you $200 is robbery from an unconscionable business. I had to spend 10min convincing him there is enough time for a hair cut as my daughter is sitting inside the salon, in a chair with dripping wet hair, waiting for a hair cut. By this time, I had been there at least 1/2hr. I would have walked out then and there but for her I let them give her a hair cut. Shame on YOU. Doesn't seem like you know the primary tenet of any successful business is good customer service. Thank you YELP for providing a platform for consumer advocacy. I think a good hair dresser needs 2 basic qualities to achieve good haircuts. One is cutting skills, another is sense of aesthetic, and sometimes the latter is more important. Besides that, people in this field need to absorb new things everyday to meet all kinds of demands. Tenya was polite and nice, but I don't think she has seen more than I have, but I can't blame her, I was working for Vogue China and had many opportunities to be very close to ppl who are inspirational in this field. So when I said I want a " not too edgy " mullet, I was expecting she can also bring subtlety and elegance, " not too edgy " doesn't mean mediocre. But most of the time she was using a teeth thinning shears, which can not really produce " subtlety " or good layers. I suggest she practices more with real cutting scissors and learn more senior/fancy cutting skills, short haircut can really test a hair dresser, maybe that's how she learned from school, but again, in this field you really need to learn something new everyday. And when I got home, I noticed the 2 sides of the top area are not even.....so I don't know what to say, and it says on their website my haircut suppose be a $40 "haircut short", but she charged me $60 before tip without any explanation, or there's nothing says on their website that it's $1/1min....I'm confused. So after all I'm not happy about the result, but it's already done, so there's no way back. read more
