Had high hopes looking at the pictures for this place. Let me start off by saying how HOT it was in here, there was no air conditioning and we had to ask for them to turn the fan on and even that was barely working. It's a hole in the wall kind of spot. We ordered the Thai tea, tom kha soup, drunken noodle & Panang curry. The Thai tea hit the spot and was super refreshing considering how hot it was in there. The tom kha soup was honestly super filling, I think 2 people could've definitely shared that. It was not as coconut creamy as I've had from other places. The drunken noodles were good, very eggy and sweet. I would order this dish again. Panang curry was alright, not really flavorful at all. We ordered everything with mild spice & I'll say there's a slight kick which I thought was just right. However with the heat in the place even that started to become unbearable. read more

Very delicious Thai food in the Knoxville area. We looked around and didn't find many Thai places near where we were, so we ventured out and found this little gem in the remnants of an old ice cream parlor. (They still sell ice cream there) The food was delicious and the portions were huge. The pad Thai was more red (maybe tomato based sauce) than I was used to but still very good. We ate lunch there. One guy was washing noodles in the sink without gloves. He let the hot water from the faucet run over his bare hands into the noodles. Then his used his bare hands to mix the noodles. He left the noodles in a colander next to the sink the whole time we were there and washed dirty dishes in the sink next to it. When the food came I couldn't eat so I took it to go. My wife ate but got sick a few hours later. I threw my food in the trash. We will never eat there again! read more

Thai Time is an excellent addition to the growing list of new restaurants popping up in the area! We really enjoyed the Pad Thai, Yellow Curry, spring rolls and Drunken Noodles! We decided to order from Uber Eats and found Thai time. Its a fairly new resturant we had seen but hadn't tried before. We ordered sweet and sour chicken and Pad Gra Kao (hope thats spelled correctly). When ordering we were given several options to choose meats and types of rice. It was easy to modify the order to get what we wanted. The food arrived quickly and was packaged in containers that kept it warm and neat. Visited this spot twice & the experience was pleasant both times. I ordered the Pad See Ew & the sauce was perfectly savory & the noodles and vegetables were cooked just right. I've experienced most Thai spots in the area & the dishes rank top three, and it's not three nor two. The staff was very friendly & were accommodating to a dairy allergy that I have, which makes the experience that much more reassuring & comforting. The waiters checked on us often. Nice to have a non-fast food, non-chain restaurant in South Knoxville. Have only been there twice for takeout. Food was good. Especially like the Drunken Noodles. Have ordered twice. One order was enough for two of us. Also had the chicken wings which were fine. Soups are good. Decor is weird (basically still the old Kay's colors and restaurant set up). Still have the ice cream counter. They seem to be busy when we drive by. Still miss Kay's and Scott's. The pad Thai is red and has a ton of paprika in it which I'm not used to. I would not recommend it. The crab rangoons and spring rolls were okay. The pho has basil which I'm also not used to.
