    Drunk Noodle

Had high hopes looking at the pictures for this place. Let me start off by saying how HOT it was in here, there was no air conditioning and we had to ask for them to turn the fan on and even that was barely working. It's a hole in the wall kind of spot. We ordered the Thai tea, tom kha soup, drunken noodle & Panang curry. The Thai tea hit the spot and was super refreshing considering how hot it was in there. The tom kha soup was honestly super filling, I think 2 people could've definitely shared that. It was not as coconut creamy as I've had from other places. The drunken noodles were good, very eggy and sweet. I would order this dish again. Panang curry was alright, not really flavorful at all. We ordered everything with mild spice & I'll say there's a slight kick which I thought was just right. However with the heat in the place even that started to become unbearable.

The ice cream and also menus and things like that

I went to the place called Thai time service as well. Place looks like like a hole in the wall, but the food is clean and the food is good and service extremely fast and they're looking to get there with the food on which is also exception oh well and ice cream so if you wanna go to here.

    Pad Thai. It was good!

Very delicious Thai food in the Knoxville area. We looked around and didn't find many Thai places near where we were, so we ventured out and found this little gem in the remnants of an old ice cream parlor. (They still sell ice cream there) The food was delicious and the portions were huge. The pad Thai was more red (maybe tomato based sauce) than I was used to but still very good. I got the drunken noodles, my Thai restaurant go-to, and it was one of the best I've had. Enjoy the Thai, and grab yourself a scoop of cookies and cream for the road.

For context, we spent only about $10 more a few nights earlier at Firebirds, a considerably more upscale spot nearby, and that meal included wine, prime rib, and a large appetizer. What we got here felt like something I could put together at home for twenty bucks. The sweet and sour chicken was the main letdown. Clearly flash breaded and fried, and I would wager close to a sixth of what I was chewing was breading alone. The vegetables looked like someone quartered a tomato, a green pepper, and an onion and dropped them on the plate to take up space. No visible sear, no visible wok time, no visible effort. The pineapple amounted to about six pieces, and I mean the small ones you find in a child's Dole cup. The sweet and sour sauce was almost certainly store bought and, worse, served cold. Nobody warmed it. The brown rice, on the other hand, was excellent. I have never been a fan of brown rice in my life and this one changed my mind, which I did not expect to write in a review today. The spicy coconut soup was genuinely good, but calling it spicy is an insult to anyone with functioning taste buds. I have had mild taco sauce packets with more heat. Judged on flavor alone I enjoyed it, and it plus the rice were the highlights of the night. The biggest flop was the fried vegetable rolls. Without a doubt these were frozen rolls from the grocery store. I have eaten those exact rolls hundreds of times and I know them by sight. Seven dollars for three out of a box of twelve that retails for seven dollars is a wild markup. The dipping sauce was good, possibly also store bought, but it was flavorful and actually warmed. If it is a retail brand I would honestly love to know which one. Three out of five. There were real bright spots, but I would not come back when the same money buys a more authentic and more upscale meal somewhere else without the feeling of being ripped off.

They do and they are delicious... served with peanuts sauce, of course From the moment we walked in the energy, vibe and passion was apparent!! Our server was Tre... He asked us if we had eaten there before which we told him we had not so he took the time and explained the menu the food and also his favorite pics. He explained grandma's sauces and gave us a great education on the type of food that we would be ordering! After the spring rolls, my husband ordered the dinner portion of grilled pork chops. BIINGMOO and I ordered PAD KEE MAO.... This is wide noodles in an amazing sauce and you have your choice of beef, pork, chicken, shrimp, or tofu to be added. I chose beef......Tre brought three little dishes to sample three at grandma's sauces which all had amazing flavors with a little bit of heat... our meals were brought to us and of course we tasted each other's meals and we're amazed at the freshness, flavor and the size. Oh my goodness this is a place that if you enjoy fresh food with an Asian twist, you need to try it. Grandma sauces can be purchased as they are bottled for sale as well. Service was wonderful to go food going out the door was nonstop. And we were lucky enough to sit at the far back of the restaurant next to the kitchen, so we got to watch all of the different platings coming out.... And we just need to start at the top of the menu and work our way down because everything looks wonderful. Happy people, happy servers, great vibe. There is a bar off to the side, which basically was full the entire time we were there. Really a very nice experience five stars and two thumbs up!!!!
