Wonderful food, out of towners. Fast and friendly service. Would return anytime in town.

Absolutely love the food here! If you want authentic Thai cuisine, this is the place to go. I've dined in and done takeout here and the quality is always great. Highly recommend!

We got the N6 and N9. Duly noted that this place understands spice unlike some other TN establishments. If you think you can handle 3, you might want to get a 2...you've been warned. Dang, we have tried all the thai places in Knoxville and this is in our top 4! I'd say it goes: Sticky Rice, this place, Thai Time and Tuk Tuk (with #3&4 being equals). Service was great, food was so flavorful and my belly is happy. 5 stars!

I was looking forward to a dinner at Pin Thai, as I read several positive reviews. While the food was very good, the service was was poor. The interior is fairly basic and the space is compact. We arrived for dinner on a Sunday evening. After ordering, our food wasn't served for over 40 minutes. During that time, the server filled up our water one time but didn't mention any delay in the kitchen. Once we had our food the table next to us ordered, and they had 5 main dishes served by the time we were half way finished with our meals. As for the food, we had the cashew chicken and the Masaman curry chicken, both served with white rice. The dishes were very, very good. It's a shame the service overshadowed the food.

Absolutely delicious!! I went here at the recommendation of a friend, and I was super impressed and happy with the food. I was craving something Asian and spicy, and this did not disappoint. I opted for level 2 spiciness and it was perfect - made my nose run, but not so hot I couldn't enjoy the flavor of the food. When I arrived, there was a sign on the door that said they took a break until 5, so I had to sit in the parking lot to wait. No big deal, but would have been nice to had that online so I could have prepared better. The interior is small, but clean and comfortable. Service was attentive, with refills and checking on you throughout the meal. Definitely will be back!

I'm sure other dishes are great. The drunken noodles we had were good and seasoned well. All the food was fresh. I didn't like the tiger cry. The sauce was too salty and the steak was over cooked. The other item we ordered wasn't good. The papaya was decent but it isn't as good as my sister in laws. Everything was decent but not great. The service was good. The lady was really nice and attentive. It was clean and nice in there. I would come again if I was craving Thai but I wouldn't just recommend it to someone though.

N7. Guay Tiew Tom Yum, spicy level 1. It is fine but not mind blowing.

It is not a big restaurant but it was not crowded on a Wednesday night. We came as a group of 5 and quickly got to sit down. Parking can be a little tricky. My friends got fried taro and fried tofu as the appetizer, which was yummy with the sauce. My friends got drunken noodles and the other GUAY TIEW. I got the GUAY TIEW TOM YUM - Thai rice noodles in Tom yum soup. My GUAY TIEW TOM YUM is fine, although I'm not a big fan of fried pork rind. My friend also got the mango sticky rice, the display and flavor are both good. Apparently the chive cakes are awesome (we call it scallion pancake), you can always get them to go and enjoy later. The only bummer is it took so long for our entrees to be ready. Would like to come back next time and try their pad Thai.

The ambiance casual. Nice little diner with plenty of seating. The service was ok. The food pretty good. We ordered tiger cry beef salad, pad Thai, and massaman curry. The curry was a little too soupy for me. A thicker curry is ideal. The flavors though were fantastic. The pad Thai had a weird sauce on it. It was different from most places. Instead of a light peanut sauce, it was more like a Chinese style sauce. Was not a fan. The tiger cry beef salad came out after we were already done with our meal. That's why service was only ok. The tiger cry was so so for us. I was disappointed to not see more authentic dishes on the menu. The spice range is 1-3. Three for us was a medium spicy. I like it spicy. So it needs a lot more heat. I would try it again.

With great reviews and my obsession with Thai food, I knew I needed to give Pin a try. We were nervous about the timing/wait after reading reviews and it being a new business, but it was not busy as all on a Tuesday evening. Our to-go order was ready within 10 minutes and traveled really well the 15 minutes to our home. The staff was friendly and prompt, which is always appreciated! We ordered: Spring Rolls-It is an order of 3 and they were warm, perfectly crispy, and the sauce flavorful with a bit of a spice kick. Pad See Ew with Chicken-For $12, we were surprised to have a smaller portion than we are used to elsewhere for cheaper. Luckily, the flavor made up for the cost. Such depth of flavor, the chicken tender, and the carrots and broccoli were perfectly cooked. Thai Fried Rice with Shrimp-SO good. Not being huge onion fans (this came with a lot), we would probably omit these next time, but the rice was outstanding. Great flavor, and the rice was somewhat sticky with an abundance of the sauce they stir-fried it it. The menu itself has some unique offerings, especially with noodle dishes, that we have not seen elsewhere. Looking forward to trying out the curry and other dishes sometime soon!

I absolutely love this place! I came here for the first time on opening night and it was so lively! The family that owns the place originally cooked at Taste of Thai and they brought over only the best to their establishment. To call their food comforting is an understatement and that's not even accounting the care that they take when serving you. They always recognize us whenever we come back and there have been times when they have brought us keychains and stuff from their trips! The food always comes out very fast and even when it takes longer, they always find time to check in on us to make sure that our stay is as pleasant as always. This time I ordered the Red Curry with Tofu and Cashew sauce with Tofu. The cashew sauce is one of our favorites with its strong while lite flavors. The balance of protein and veggie is perfect and fulfilling. We always find time to race 30 minutes to them after work and there has even been a time where they stayed open for us cause we were late due to traffic. Sometimes they might be slow, but remember. This is owned by a small family. If you treat their busy days with grace they will return with magnificent food!

The unsweetened tea with lemon was like an old girlfriend: ice cold and bitter. The tempura shrimp and veggies were so so good. Three smaller shrimpies. Three onion rings. 147 sweet potato sticks. The dipping sauce was spot on. I ate every bike. The lil missis had the basil roll. Time at bit of shrimp and then basil... she was it was largely a tasteless salad. ( don't shoot the messenger) The drunken noodles were great. Spivey but not too Spicy for this white boy. My wife added more spice on one side. The other dish was lava hot. It came with peanuts and bean sprouts. It was sweet, just like my date. We shared the dishes and I liked hers and she liked mine. We argued about the drunken noodles. Why the name? Is the chef drunk or the noodles? We have no answer. We got the leftovers to go and vanished quietly in the night. This morning I looked in the fridge and smiled that knowing smile of what is to come tonight for dinner. Yup- leftover Asian food. What is not to like. I'll go again. You should too. We got sat and looked over the menu, one thing I thought was really nice was that they offered their lunch on a weekend. Not many places do that. We decided however to order their dinner for two which comes with two entrees and a choice of app or dessert. We got their fresh basil rolls and also got a cup of their tom yum soup to split. For entrees we got their phad Thai and yellow curry. The soup and basil rolls came out super fast. Both were delicious. The soup was light and flavorful with the ginger and lime really shining through. The basil rolls were also light and the sauce was great with it. The basil didn't overpower any of the other flavors and the shrimp was very fresh tasting not fishy at all. My husband had never tried either before and was really happy with both of them. The entrees were very well portioned (meaning we had amazing leftovers). The curry a a bit of spice but not too much and you could taste all the other flavors in it. The phad Thai was good it was a bit watery with the sauce but the flavor was there. The only complaint either of us had was that the chicken was a bit dry. But that was small compared to how good everything was. It was a great lunch. When we are back in Maryville which is often because my husband works there it's definitely a place I want to go again. They have great food and the prices and really good. Plus the service is awesome. Our server offered to box up our food for us when my husband was in the bathroom and I had our daughter in my lap because she wanted to make it easier for me which I really appreciated.

My first review for my hobby: Bert's Feast or Flop, where I review my experiences with restaurants…read moreand fast food places to determine whether they are a FEAST or a FLOP. I wanted to start with Thai Cuisine in Maryville because this place deserves more business. Food: 5/5 The food tastes amazing! Everything was cooked perfectly, tasted fresh and you can tell it was made by a chef who truly cares about their cooking. The portion sizes and presentation were excellent and very filling. This was my first time ever trying curry, and I was extremely impressed -- I loved every bite. If you're ever curious about trying curry, get the Yellow Curry. The spice levels range from 1-5, and I got level 2. It had great heat without overpowering the flavors. I also had a bite of my mother's Tornado Shrimp, and it was fried and sauced perfectly. It's hard to sauce fried food well, but Thai Cuisine does it perfectly every time. The vegetables were cooked to perfection too -- they had a great crunch without tasting raw. Lastly, the potstickers are the best in Maryville! ‍ Service: 5/5 The service was professional and super friendly. Our server, Yolanda, was incredibly helpful when it came to deciding which curry I should try and what protein paired best with it. The pacing of the service was excellent because we had time to enjoy our appetizer without feeling rushed into our entrée. You can also tell the cook(s) is passionate about what they do. Atmosphere: 4.5/5 The restaurant was very clean, and the vibes were exactly what you'd expect from a Thai restaurant. My only nitpick was that we were seated next to another group even though there was plenty of space in the restaurant where we could've had a little more room to ourselves. Value: 5/5 The portions absolutely matched the value of what we ordered. I know eating out can get expensive nowadays, but this place is absolutely worth the price they charge. Final Thoughts I absolutely adore Thai Cuisine in Maryville and the employees who work there. They're always friendly and always deliver great food. This will always be one of my go-to spots whenever I'm craving a fresh meal. I just wish this restaurant wasn't so hidden because more people deserve to discover and try it. I'd love to see them move to a more noticeable location someday. If you love Thai food, this is the place to go for a guaranteed great experience! FEAST Overall Rating: 5/5 Would I Go Back?: YES
