To quote my husband "I'm so full but I can't stop eating because everything is so delicious" ! Food was amazing, super fresh and light, fried salmon bites were too die for, and the soup had just the right amount of spice (you can also request more coconut milk to tone down the spice). we loved that they didn't hold back on the seasonings and spices. 10/10 experience.

Grandmas Fried NOODLES (veg) were just ok. Chicken Wings/ Chuenh Beek Gai (gf) were insanely good. Sticky Rice not pictured was amazing.

Get the garlic wings and the sticky rice. If I could do it again I would pass on the noodles. The wings and rice though??? Unreal. Thank me later.

Visiting Knoxville and this place is a hit! It was busy, but service was excellent! Fast, nice and friendly. Food was delicious. Flavorful and packed with a punch. A little on the spicy side. Clean and beautiful inside. A must if you are in Knoxville!!

The food here is sooooo good! All of it! The spring rolls - great, the egg drop soup - great, the phorito -great. It's all very fresh, the broth is the best I've ever had, the service is great too. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff.

I have lots of love for every aspect of sticky rice aside from its atmosphere. They moved to a newer and larger venue about a year ago which helped, but the restaurant is nearly always very loud and packed. However, the food makes it worth it! My personal favorite is the tofu laab (beware: it is very spicy). The portion sizes are super fulfilling and I feel that it's very well priced. Typically I get takeout since it's always so busy and hard to hear people talk from the table. Lots of love!

The food was amazing, and our server was wonderful and brought plenty of sauces to sample and Try out with our appetizers. My noodles entree was delightful and I definitely will be coming here again! The restaurant itself is a little small so when they're busy it may be a wait/packed but overall the place is great!

We wanted to try the fried chicken skin, but unfortunately they were already out by lunchtime. Grandmas fried noodles: very good and tasted very homemade. Unfortunately a bit too salty. Brisket was tender and paired well with the noodles Laos Sausage: came with some very fragrant sticky rice. The sausage was very unique and tasted like a bundle of curry. Was recently spicy! The restaurant is always extremely busy... for both lunch and dinner, even on weekdays. The staff seemed very rushed, but they did their best to check up on us. A good amount of seating, indoor only.

Server was nothing short of amazing. It was my first time here and he helped me decide on a couple entrees. Food has large portions and tasted delicious. It was a small little place but I felt like they took pride in the experience and meals. Oh they also have boba which was just as good as the food! Nice little spot you gotta try.

I've been hearing about this place for a while and finally decided to give it a try while in the area. Glad I did! Makayla at the bar is a high speed blessing. Drinks always flowing, and hot food was promptly served. I LOVE crispy rice and the flavors in their dish excited my palate. Of course I had to try their sticky rice with mango. Simply delicious. I'm looking forward to trying most everything on their menu in the future.

This place is absolutely amazing! You won't be disappointed at all with what you get on the menu. The food is fresh and you can really taste that they make the noodles in house. Our waiter was super helpful! He was transparent about the dishes he would recommend and he made sure we had a phenomenal first experience! Whether you want to have this as a date night or casual outing it will be well worth it!

Popular spot for takeout in Knoxville, the place is busy but the staff is friendly! I got the popular phorrito. It comes with a side of pho broth. Good spin on a classic dish. The sauce in the phorrito makes it great. Also tried the panama curry which was not bad, had lots of leftovers.

A sampling of their special sauces. Each was unique and delicious.

Probably the best Laotian food I've had the privilege to try. The appetizers, entrees, sauces, and desserts were all fantastic. The place was mobbed and we had to wait but it was worth it for sure. We ended up seated at the bar and were very effectively served. The ambience is nothing spectacular but who cares, right? It is clean and the food is awesome. I plan to eat here at least once more during my visit. I'm suggest making a reservation or coming before/after the mealtime rushes.

Panang Curry (veggf) with chicken

We finally tried Sticky Rice Café here in Knoxville and wow -- new favorite spot unlocked! The Panang Chicken Curry was rich, creamy, and full of flavor, and Grandma's Glass Noodles with chicken tasted like pure comfort in a bowl. Such a cozy, welcoming place with food that feels made with love. The service was absolutely wonderful and so friendly -- we felt right at home. Can't wait to go back!

One of my favorite places in Knoxville. Food is fresh and tasty. Place is usually crowded but wait times are not too bad.

My mom said Asia Kitchen is the best Chinese in the city now. Unfortunately if that is correct, then it makes me very sad. I have eaten at "Real" Chinese restaurants before and this is not close imo. I got Szechuan Beef...this is supposed to be a very spicy dish. My order was not spicy at all...not saying it was bland, but it didn't have the "kick" I was expecting. My mom shared a whole steamed fish with her friends. They did enjoy it, but it wasn't for me. I have decided to bump my rating up to four stars because of the wonton/egg drop soup. I didn't even realize this was a thing. We got one large serving and it was plenty for the table. Finally the reason i didn't give 5 stars was because of the table service. The others brought wine , but i ordered a Diet Coke when we were seated. Unfortunately it never arrived...our server acknowledged my order, but I guess she forgot during the dinner rush. I did have water so I didn't complain. Overall dinner was ok...it was very nice that we were allowed to take our time.

A robust menu with a lot to choose from. All of the standards plus more traditional dishes…read more Food was great and service was personable. We will return next time in the area.

And being an Army brat (and Army veteran) helps. And I love the Sunrise Supermarket - I've shopped there every week or two since they opened. I buy a lot of fish at the fish counter, and never had a bad experience with their fish (of course, I know how to buy fish, and occasionally I need to speak a little Spanish, which I can). The produce section is wonderful. I wish I knew how to cook a tenth of what they sell in that store! In contrast to what several reviewers have said, I've never experienced or observed any discourtesy to anyone. Sure, there are occasional difficulties in communication, with so many nationalities represented, but that's part of the fun of it. I fairly often want a Chinese item that doesn't have a satisfactory English name, so I find the Chinese characters on the Web and print them out, and find somebody in the store who can read Chinese, and promptly am led to what I want. (I just discovered sha cha sauce that way.) Checking my shopping list now - sesame oil, some fresh squid to stir-fry and a pompano to steam, some frozen Chinese dumplings, a bottle of nước mắm, a bag of bean sprouts, a Mexican squash. And by now the 2026 Chinese calendars should be in.

I get fresh fish and vegetables here every week. The guy that cleans the fish is always nice. I…read morehighly recommend.
