We really like this place but I think we have high standards. We were looking for Thai dumplings, which they have, but not with shrimp as I am allergic. They said come back on a different day and maybe they'll have them. I asked for the salad with ginger sauce and got the salad with peanut sauce. There is no hot tea this week because something is broken that makes hot water. They are out of Thai donuts at 7:30 when we are the only party here. There was one person here when we arrived. I love this place! First the location is beautiful. The neighborhood is so charming. Twinkling lights all around! The second we walked in we were seated at a clean well laid out table. Usual Thai decorations strewn throughout the establishment. We split their appetizer sampler. Came with 4 crab rangoons, 2 egg rolls, and 4 skewers of chicken. The rangoons were some fo the best I have had. Lots of crab! I had Tofu Panang curry! This is my favorite type of curry, and they knocked it out of the park! Very spicy, and very sweet! It had ample tofu, and vegetables! They did so well! Other members of my party had Pad Thai, and Bangkok chicken. Both had very good meals! The bathrooms were clean, and well taken care of! Great restaurant, although I was very skeptical after reading the reviews that for some people it took forever to bring the fox. Maybe because the day I went it was only one more lady dining and a couple, it took almost nothing for my food to arrive. I ordered shrimp phad Thai and it was delicious; great flavor and almost perfect. I would have to come again on a different and busy day to see if it's true that sometimes it takes a long time for them to bring the food. The decor was nice and the bathrooms clean. Eek! I was not impressed by this place. We had spring rolls, summer rolls and green curry and none were good. If I wasn't starving when the food came, I'd have not anything. There was plastic in the spring roll that my mom bit into. They tried to say it was an uncooked cellophane noodle, but you couldn't even cut it with a knife, so I'm not buying it. After that, the rest of the dish went untouched. The shrimp in the summer rolls were suuuuper fishy, which led me to believe it wasn't fresh. The peanut sauce to dip it in was also off-putting. They put way too much fish sauce in it, or something that made it taste fishy. Neither aspect of the dish was appetizing and I couldn't even eat half of it. The green curry was very watery and the vegetables were mushy. It didn't have very much flavor. It was a major letdown. Sadly, the best part of my meal was getting my check. Came here on a mini vacation in the beautiful town of Celebration. It doesn't fit the town scenery but hey there always has to be an Asian place in every neighborhood right? The ambience was nice. Surprisingly modern and sophisticated. Upside down umbrellas were a nice touch. Anyways to the food. Bottom line... it's ok. We didn't venture into the menu and kept it very simple. We started with egg rolls and they were left a little too long on the fryer but still doable. Just kept dipping it into the sauce to make up for it. We ordered the Bangkok chicken and the chicken pad thai. Again nothing really to rave about. Our waiter was very nice but it seems like each waiter/waitress only cared about they're own tables and don't really help out each other. There was no teamwork and that's just a shame. We've eaten here on several occasions. We always put up with the slow service because the food is good usually. This time was extremely poor all round. We sat for over an hour before receiving our starter, the platter. We had three on our table between six diners, all were cold to the touch. We were told it couldn't be as it came straight out. After an hour and a half our main course arrived. My wife's crispy deep fried duck was stone cold to the touch. All other meals were just warm at best. One diner didn't get a meal because they decided to tell us 1.5 hours in that they had ran out of shrimp. When it came back it was fire hot with chilli, this was the only meal on the table that was meant to be mild. Waiting staff were clearly embarrassed, I honestly couldn't see a chef in the kitchen at all, just waiting staff plating up. The owner was there but just sat at the bar laughing with friends. Pretty poor to make her staff do all of the apologizing. Owner needs to take some accountability. I really hope the owner reads some of these posts and acts. The location is great, the food is usually good, service is always very slow but this is the kitchen not the waiting staff, it is also expensive. The owner has a responsibility to deliver better than they are doing. Not everyone is a tourist who will only visit once, we really want to like this place but struggle as it is an expensive 50/50 call every time we go. read more

I was able to check out this place after a bit and I'm glad I did! The service was excellent. Very helpful, amicable, and down to earth. I ordered to go and the presentation was beautiful. I had the beef Pad Thai with medium spice. They said it was only going to be a little bit of a kick but I do think I would have enjoyed it better if I got the mild. The spice wasn't too intense but it was overpowering and made it difficult to savor the other flavors of the dish. Price wasn't bad for the portion. Definitely worth a shot! read more

While this Thai Thani is not as elaborately lush as the Thai Thani in Tampa's Celebration, this restaurant can give you the same huge menu and large portions without the noise and crowds. This popular Florida chain was started by a retirted Thai diplomat who certainly understood what it takes to get satisfied customers. I usually skip over the appetizers and salads (even papaya salad) to get to their large entries. Not the noodles dishes, but their Tioger Tear Beef or Param Steamed Chicken or Pan Seared Sea Bass. You could come here every weekend and not cover the menu in a year. I love their green tea ice cream, which is just even to fill the last remaining space in my stomach. One last note: the place is nicely decorated, but the crowning touch is the bathrooms. Visit if just for the view. read more

My family and I were looking for a good spot to eat lunch at (were from out of town), Thai Thani exceeded our expectations. Ive had plenty of thai food, and this was by far the best thai food ive tried ever. The gal who helped us was extremely friendly, patient and super helpful. She even went as far as to offer us our drinks to go, which was extremely nice of her. As for food, We started off with the Vegan potstickers and they came out steaming hot, crispy, and delicious! We also ordered chicken pad thai, tofu pad thai, one of the steak dishes, and an order of the yellow curry with tofu. The portions are also a very good size. Everything came out super hot, and was absolutely delicious. As for the spicy levels, they have 1-5 scale. I being a lover of spicy, ordered a level 5 for my pad thai, the server warned me it was very very spicy, and she wasnt wrong! If you cant handle spice I recommend ordering a level 1. Overall amazing place, my family and I loved the decor! Being an interior designer I appreciated the Thailand touch, they have super cool wooden chairs, nice bamboo pendant lights, there is even a super cool fountain towards the back of the restaurant. I would give less stars if I could. Partway through our meal we started noticing a couple of flies, which are always concerning. I ate here a little while ago. I ordered the chicken Phad Thai. I am allergic to seafood, each time I started to tell them, they went to go get someone else, highly frustrating as they didn't offer an explanation, rather turned their back and simply walked away. We were the only 2 diners there, which should've tipped us off. The first time My entree came out, it was lo mein. Not anywhere near being rice noodles as described on the menu. The second time, it was made out of rice noodles, however it was covered in sesame oil and soy sauce for some reason. It was nowhere near the proper flavor for chicken phad Thai. It's fine to be a Chinese restaurant, just don't make part of your name Thai. I still wouldn't endorse it as a Chinese restaurant either. read more

A nice place for dinner if you are in the mood for drinks with cucumber, cherry-infused vodka, agave, and the delicious Thai tea. On the corner of Water Street, Thai Thani is inviting-especially if you can find parking. For 6p dinner on a Tuesday evening, my friend and I experienced a longer-than-usual wait for drinks due to low staffing. Our server was pleasant; however she did confuse our charges at the end of the meal. The Golden Shrimp Basket and Krab Rangoon were delicious appetizers and just enough for two hungry patrons. I had the Massaman Curry with shrimp for an entree because I am a sucker for coconut milk and peanuts mixed with bell peppers over a bowl of rice. The dessert was the highlight of the meal. The sticky rice, just a little warm, featured mango slices and whipped cream. Fantastic! By the end of our meal, the restaurant had a high volume of patrons; I wondered how the servers would fair moving all that food to the tables. My extended family came here before Christmas when Celebration had its annual snow festival downtown. As you would expect, it was very busy. When walking in you will be greeted with several displays of what I guess are traditional Thai decorations and displays, and a friendly hostess and seated promptly. As a family we shared a variety of Curries, Satays, pad Thai, etc. Each were delicious in its own right and the flavors were absolutely spot on and fresh. Notably, however, the spice level hit the nail on the head. For the first time eating Thai, I got a real medium spiced fish when I asked for medium. It wasn't bland, and it wasn't hellish. That being said I would return if it weren't located across town from me. The service was quite slow, but I'd give it another chance since it was the holidays and clearly busier than their usual. read more

I would like to write this email to really let you know the very terrible experience yesterday with your phone ordering system. First off, I called at 7:50PM to put in my order and was told to come in 30 minutes. I arrived at 8:20PM at the restaurant. No one was there to greet me, then this lady sitting at the bar asked how they could help me, I told her I had put in an order. She walked somewhere and came back and said it was coming. I sit and wait there for another 15 minutes, then another lady worker in front of the bar asked what I am waiting for and I tell her. She goes to the machine to check the order and seems confused as it seems like it is not there. Then she asks for the name on the order and seems to look like she can't find it. Finally she comes back and asks for the name and my order, and calls over someone from the kitchen. She tells me that it was just not put into the system and they are packing it up. But the guy comes back and seems flustered and it seems like they never did the order in the first place. She doesn't inform me about anything and I wait another 20 minutes for the order. By the time I left it was 9:00!!! This is just so unacceptable , they never once apologized or came clean or provided more info. I HAD TO GO UP TO THE LADY AT THE BAR AGAIN and ask when my food was coming out! Then she went and got one bag and said she was waiting on 2 more things. I was in such a hurry to get out that I didn't realize later that the amount added is way more than it should have cost! read more
