Empanadas, croquettas, plantain chips, ropa vieja with rice and tomatillo sauce.

The wife and I are here for some time off and simply slowing down to relax. I've been to Socio before with a work conference and loved it, now I'm back with the Mrs and we had a lovely meal and drinks. It's essentially tapas but the servings are quite good sized and the flavors are wonderful. We've got our favorite Cuban and Latino places back home so we have a little bias as to what we enjoy. Turns out Socio hit the flavor notes well. Sheba and Clay took care of us and were wonderful. The setting is open with a glass back bar area so you can see people walking in the entry hall and lobby. It's quite lovely to have an open sensation while still having a cozy kind of feel at the bar. There is "outdoor" seating if you prefer and the device to the tables is also good. We ordered ropa vieja, rice, empanadas, and croquettas. They came out on small plates and Sheba brought extra plates so it was easy for us to share. We also had some cocktails which were made directly in front of us and they were delicious. I had the Florida Man, if I recall correctly, which is a gin based cocktail and it was tasty and refreshing. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and again, Sheba and Clay made our time there a treat. Looking forward to a return visit to Socio.

First of all service was fantastic. Ricky was our server and he was attentive and made great recommendations. Tried the espresso martini but with gin... great spin to a normally vodka drink. The chichiron pork is amazing. It is a must try that you won't regret. They are a great location with a variety of seating options. There are bar seats, high-tables, regular tables and lounge chairs.

Fun little bar at the entrance of Gaylord. I sat down a for a bit while my +1 was doing some work. The bartender was nice and brought me some water to hold me over. I ordered the chicharron, which was excellent. Extra crispy outside with tender and fatty inside. I thought it was going to be bar food size, but the Cuban and El Cubano sandwiches were giant. They were overflowing with meat. The Cuban had guava jelly which threw me for a loop, but it worked.

Wish I had stopped by here earlier in my stay while visiting for a work conference! This spot was great! Really pretty drinks and the tapas were delicious! I had the corn and oil rum punch, but I had to also take a pic of my coworkers beautiful purple drinks, the clarified matcha margarita. Both of our drinks were clarified and washed cocktails which is something I was not familiar with. I had the arepas which were so yummy! I also tried the empanadas that my coworker had, those were also tasty! Service was a littler on the slower side, but it was as pretty busy.

Socio is a Cuban-inspired tapas bar and lounge located in the lobby of the Gaylord Palms Resort. We enjoyed a nice little New Year's Eve dinner after attending the ICE! experience. We didn't have reservations and it being NYE, many of the other restaurants on property were already booked & busy. We were able to grab seats at the bar and order some drinks and tapas to share. The bartenders and staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our food did take longer than usual since they were busy, but they kept checking in to update us and make sure we were good. I ordered a Hendrick's dirty martini and my husband tried their special coconut washed negroni which he was not really a fan of and much prefers a traditional negroni. My martini was good though. Blue cheese stuffed olives would have made it better, but they don't have them. I heard the poor bartender get asked if they did at least 3 times lol. It must be a popular request. For food, we ordered the pimientos (stuffed peppadew peppers), dátiles rellenos (bacon-wrapped dates), chicharrón (compressed pork belly), and the ropa empanadas. While everything was tasty, the chicharrón was actually the star of the show. I'm normally not even that big of a pork belly fan, but this dish was incredible. It was crispy on the outside and perfectly tender on the inside. I would come back for that alone. Another standout was actually the salsa verde that was served with the empanadas. It came in a little jar and was similar to more of a chimichurri. Wow, I would put that on everything if I could. Overall, Socio is great little spot for some bites & drinks if you're staying at the hotel or visiting the Kissimmee area.

This is a great Hotel Bar with even better bites. I really enjoyed my dirty martini that the server checked to ensure it was dirty enough. She took pride in her work, and I really admire that. I really enjoyed all the dishes and the Cuban Style dishes were really good. I enjoy a lot of Cuban food, and these dishes came pretty close to what I have at home. The bar had high top seating options as well as the bar, and there was plenty of seats available. I believe they redid the bar recently, but I am sure it will be a popular bar very soon inside the hotel. Stop in for a cocktail, they're delicious.

The coconut wash negroni is very good and memorable! You should like coconut as it's quite distinguishable. The bar is a classic lobby bar, very open and inviting. The service has been fantastic the two times I've went. I ordered the sopa de frijoles and was surprised how flavorful it was. The tomato relish on the top really adds a kick. I'm looking forward to trying more food next time. It's a great mix of cocktails, wine and beer, and tapas. The food is not small portions, though.

Cute little bar restaurant in the lobby of the Gaylord Palms resort. On our visit the outer seating area was closed for a private party however there were a couple bar height tables inside but with one person in a wheelchair our only seating option was a tiny side table between 2 chairs but we made it work. The indoor bar area has 4 large screens playing different channels. The music threw me off. It was a mix of pop music and Christmas Carol's. I would have expected some fun salsa music playing in this Cuban themed salon. The service was immediate and friendly. The food was good. The black bean soup was phenomenal, the chicharrón was perfection and the ropa vieja was delicious. I will skip the wings the next time we eat here. They were really dry, almost burnt and lacked the tangy citrus mojo flavor I was hoping for. But I can't wait to come back for chicharrón and black bean soup.

We hit Socio a couple of times for cocktails while we were staying at the Gaylord. We had the same server both times and she was great! Over our four day visit, we sampled the mojitos, the Daquiri (an authentic one), the smoked Old Fashion, and the spicy margarita. We loved them all. I loved the way the Old Fashion was presented. We also tried the bacon wrapped-stuffed date appetizer. SOOOOO good. Cool spot.

We were staying at the Gaylord in Kissimmee for a conference and ended up trying this place for dinner the night we flew in. I have to say the staff is amazing. They seemed so overwhelmed but did a great job accommodating our requests. This place is great for tapas and also drinks. Their drink menu has a lot of variations and innovative drinks. The one we ended up trying was the Peach and Mango Mambo. This was such a great tropical flavor without being overly sweet. Highly recommend it! As for the food, the chicken wings and the stuffed pimientos were amazing. The portions are generous for a meal. The variety is great. Grab a seat outside - the resort is absolutely beautiful. You feel like you're in a tropical paradise. Can't wait to come back soon. IG: @QueenOfAdventureNYC

Shoutout to Glory for wonderful service and great recommendations. We ordered several tapas. Our favs were the Datiles Rellenos. So good. Crispy bacon wrapped dates. Delicious. Honorable mention to the Ropa Vieja with that cilantro rice (also very good) and the empanadas. This place definite deserves more stars than 3. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed m.

Laid back hotel bar perfect for happy hour or a night cap. Seating is first come first serve. I recommend the patio area as they can accommodate large groups. Seating is comfortable and the surrounding tropical plants made me feel like I was on vacation instead of a conference. They do have a decent food and cocktail menu. The menu has a Cuban flare and the portions are enough to share. I ordered the ceviche and mini chicken empanadas. The ceviche was marinated in citrus with small chunks of mango. The side of fried plantain chips were the perfect for scooping every last bit of the ceviche. The empanadas were delicious especially dipped in the accompanying cheese sauce. The trip to this bar would wouldn't be complete with out drinks. I ordered a Citron in the Rye and was glad I chose it. The drink is similar to an old fashioned, however with a hint of banana and cava. I ended my experience with a Woodford Old Fashioned which was served with a single ice cube. Final verdict, great bar with excellent staff, delicious food, and classy drinks. The prices were a bit steep, however I was in a resort after all.

I got to the venue earlier than my party, so i ordered a beer at the bar the bar before going to the table. It was $7 for a kona big wave. We were a party of 10 celebrating my birthday. Everyone was seated and ready to order by about 515. We didn't get our first round of drinks until 620. Here are some highlights (aka things servers shouldnt say) of things said to us from our really very terrible server: - "oh you want that glass of wine? Well, I'm not sure I'll be able to find it. What do you want as a backup?" (She never mentioned the wine again, but brought the back up beer) - "I'm not sure if the sliders come with fries, I'll check and let you know: (35 minutes later, they do not come with fries) - when presenting the wine flight "these go in the order they are listed on the card" (we asked from left to right or right to left) "oh, um you can just tell by the color" Other complaints: - we were there for 2.5 hours and water was filled only once, after we asked, after everyone was out of water and still hadn't received cocktails 1 hour into our visit - we ordered $12 truffle fries, with genuinely not an drizzle of truffle. So we asked for truffle oil/sauce/butter/whatever should be on there. She came back 27 minutes later and when I said the fries were cold so didn't need the truffle anymore she just said "sorry" and left the plate of cold fries and the truffle oil. Paid full price. - ordered a side of truffle fries, with no cheese. She brought an appetizer size plate, with no cheese, truffle, or scallion. 100% plain fries. Asked for truffle and scallion. Only ever received truffle and then they tried to charge us the full price for the appetizer truffle fries - ordered 2 Kentucky bourbon ales. Received a 16 ounce glass the first time and 12 ounces the second, but was charged the same price for both - all of the chicken items were incredibly dry. - when we asked why drinks were taking an hour, we were advised she was working on it, when in fact, there was no one behind the bar and they were not being worked on. - no flat breads, no salmon, and apparently no wine that wasn't part of a wine flight. Everyone who tried to order a glass of wine was told to order beer instead. Only positives: - our second round of drinks came in a slightly more timely manner. - the spinach dip and bakes brie were yummy Just save yourself so much time and money and go literally anywhere else in celebration. Thai Tani, town Tavern, Columbia, and the diner are all fantastic!

As the hostess walked away from our table, she commented that our group was going to be "nothing but a problem." The basis for that assumption? One member of our party had simply helped clear and organize the table to make the seating process easier and faster for the staff. Yes, we were a lively group. We were on vacation, having a great time at Disney, laughing and enjoying each other's company. What we were not was intoxicated. The situation escalated when one of our friends was accused of being drunk and our entire party of 10 was asked to leave. The problem is that she wasn't intoxicated at all. What makes this especially troubling is that our friend has worked incredibly hard to maintain her sobriety and recently celebrated 12 months alcohol-free through AA. To be publicly accused of being drunk after reaching such a significant milestone was humiliating, heartbreaking, and completely unnecessary. When we brought our concerns to the General Manager, Scott, we expected leadership. We expected someone who would take a moment to assess the situation, listen to both sides, and use his own judgment. Instead, he simply stated that he trusted his employees and made no effort to independently evaluate what had happened. A manager's job isn't to blindly accept accusations. A manager's job is to gather facts, assess the situation, and make informed decisions. In this case, Scott failed to do that. As a result, the restaurant lost a party of 10 customers. More importantly, they deeply hurt someone who has spent the last year fighting for her sobriety. That's the part of this experience we won't forget. Everyone makes mistakes. Great restaurants acknowledge them, learn from them, and treat people with dignity. Unfortunately, this experience was defined by assumptions, poor judgment, and a complete lack of empathy from both the staff and management.

We grabbed the Chinese Five-Spice Glazed Chicken Wings and the Churros! I loved the PBJ wings but the flavor of these wings is out of this.. jungle!!! The churros are still the same... best churros in WDW... but the new blueberry sauce is a perfect pair with the vanilla crema.. double dip, if you want the perfect bite of sweet and sour! The waiters take such excellent care of you with the perfect blend of relaxation and attention! You'll want to take this quick lounge break every time you come... so be warned!

Was planning to go to Tiffans next door but was not hungry enough for mid afternoon full-on menu…read moredine in. Saw this on the Disney App and booked to walk up. Table was ready in 10 mins after booked in app. What a nice side outdoor sitting area of the same restaurant as Tiffany's: just small bites and drinks here. We got rained out and the server was very nice to replace our first 3 bites plates completely. The ribs, spices wings and mushroom dumplings were all so good! The churros with orange and vanilla sauces were to die for too! The kids at the next table each ate 4 pieces! There were 5 pieces in each other! Will come again when visiting Animal Kingdom again.
